Prima Bag Tags to share today...

It's National Scrapbook day today and there are so many fun challenges and things to do today for inspiration so i thought i would share my bag tags that i just finished with some new Prima papers and other goodies that i just got.  It was a really fun and relaxing project to make and I had fun trying out a few new products that they just came out with so i hope that you like it too.

For my project i used the new Prima French Riviera collection.  This is a super cute 6x6 pad collection that even comes with letter stickers and tags in it.  I also used the Ephemera set that had so many pretty images like clocks, crabs, lighthouses and other fun goodies to use.  I also used
a few of the lazer cut wood pieces for a little more of a 3 D look.  And of course flowers and
a new stencil that i picked up.  There are so many new artsy products that they carry at Prima
and i am really having some fun trying them out and making fun things with them.

So here is a quick photo of how i kind of started the tags.  I layered bits of the papers to make the
base of the tags about the size of a bookmark and then stenciled a bit of ? on the one at the right with my new stencil and added some of the new art stones they have onto it and pushed them in.  I thought it would really give it a more sandy kind of look and it was fun to experiment.

Here is a closeup photo of the tags all done and you can see all the pretty pieces of this set.
The colors in the papers are so pretty and the flowers have these pretty bronze beads in each
of them and really look so pretty. I also love the ocean designs --- it reminds me of Long Beach
and Dana Point and all the fun places we go when we are down there.

Prima also carries a fun set of Mica flakes so i picked up one of those sets and the pink
one went great with this line so i added bits of it with some liquid adhesive all around.  You
can barely see it but i think it adds that perfect touch to it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have fun making some fun crafty
things today with whoever you are with!!

New Cardabilites Challenge is up

Today i am sharing with the new challenge sketch up on Cardabilites.  I had
alot of fun with making this card and used some new things i just got to to
play a little.  The product is called Glass Bead Glitter Gel and it's pretty neat.
I thought it would be fun to create my own stencil so i used a really pretty
Spellbinders die and cut one from paper.  Then i used the spatula to spread the
gel onto the precut card piece in pink.  After i pulled off my home made stencil
i added just a touch of some Stampendous glitter to it to make it sparkle. I love
the way i got just a bit of a design onto the paper and the glitter adds just
the right amount of something to make it stand out.  And it was fun to experiment!

Here you can see the stencil i made with the paper and the gel from Faber-Castell.

Here is a closeup of the gel back round and the  little flowers and circles that
i used to do the sketch design with.  Since the gel dries clear i found a big clear
acetate heart in my stash and used that to do my flower design on.  After i got it
the way i wanted i took a paint brush and splattered white paint on the top of
it to brighten it up a little more.  The Spellbinders dies are just the circles
that i cut to make the bands and Stately Circles which is one of my favs!!

Be sure and check out all the other girls projects on the blog
for Cardabilities, they always have some amazing inspiration  :)

Have a great day....Teresa

Quietfire Design and Dreamweaver Stencils Day 5

Hi Everyone and welcome to the last day of our hop with
all the talented ladies on the Dreamweaver Design Team.
Today we are all sharing projects that we did
with some of the wonderful products that both Quietfire Design
stamps carries and the wonderful stencils and products from
Dreamweaver... It was really alot of fun and there are lots
of ways that you can use the products.. so are you ready?

The first part of my project is a box that I got from Prima
that I painted and then used some chalk ink on and the Dreamweaver
FX powders around the edges to antique it a little bit.  I wanted to create
a really pretty box to hold the book that is the next part of my
project today to put all the photos and fun things that we
do during the fall times at our house....

I Cut/Embossed 3 layers of dies in different colors to match
the flowers. On the top right- the ivory cardstock piece I stenciled
the tree stencil with green ink and embossed it.  Then I added some
distress ink in orange and green and rubbed some of
the orange FX powders into the backround of the tree
with a dauber too.  It's hard to photograph but
it has a really pretty autumn glow to it.  The letters
are adhesive and I glued then onto the tree when it was dry.
The Spellbinders dies I used for it are S5-157 Labels Eighteen,
S5-191 Decorative Labels Twenty-eight and S4-310 Labels Eighteen.
All of them you can get from Quietfire Design website here.

The second part of my project is a quick and easy
book that you can buy or make with chipboard and a
ruler.  The papers are from Bo Bunny Apple Cider Collection
and the book fits just perfect inside of the box.

For my book I used the Quietfire Design stamp #6285
and I stamped it in dark brown ink and embossed it and
then used a foam applicator and stenciled it orange ink
around the inside edges to frame it.  Here is the words on it.

Here is a photo of some of the fun products that the generous
Dreamweaver Company gave us to use.  Thank you so much
for joining us on the hop and be sure and leave a comment so
you have a chance to win some of the fun prizes!
