Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Booklet Etched Die

Today i have my first post going up as one of the new 5 Designers for Becca Feeken and Amazing Paper Grace. It's a little surreal actually but I am over the moon excited to start this new journey with her.  I so loved to get to design with her dies when i was with Spellbinders and now I get to use just her dies, how exciting is that?  All of us will be sharing lots of projects each month using her newest dies and a fun blog hop each month to really show them off for you so be sure and check back so you don't miss anything fun.  Doesn't that sound great!!

I am sharing a quick project that i made using the new Vintage Elegance Filigree Booklet Etched die.
There are so many ways you can do this but i needed a special gift for a friend and thought that i would make a tiny little elegant gift card booklet to put in a some money for her graduation.  I love that each of these dies have beautiful details that can help you create amazing gifts, cards and special things to remember those you love the most in your life.

The Spellbinders Vintage Elegance Filligree Booklet die set is really fun to use because it has two sets of inserts that you can use to die cut out the design that you see on the inside left of the book and a base die to make the pages or the outside pieces.  Everyone on the team made different versions so be sure and check Becca's blog for more fun ideas and tutorials here.....

So let's get started for a quick tutorial on how i made this...

First I cut my paper using only the larger outside die with only white card stock and then another time with the gold and white dotted paper to create the body of the book.  I glued those together and scored it in the center to fold it.  Then for the outside i cut the smaller die with one of the inserts and folded it and glued it to the outside of the book and let it dry like the closeup of the book below.

For the inside i cut a piece like the outside in white and folded it and glued it to the inside.  Then i cut a gold pocket from the Vintage Elegance Filigree Pocket Etched Die set and attached that in the bottom center.  For inside of the pocket i made a tiny tag that i created with the Swallowtail tag topper and a rectangle to fit inside the pocket. And there is just enough room to put a few dollars to give my friend for her graduation.  She worked really hard and is so happy to reach this milestone!

Here you can see a closeup of the pocket and the design on it.  I love that all of Becca's dies can mix with other ones.  That to me is the fun part because you can create so many more projects that way.

And lastly to keep my little money card closed I cut and embossed the center tag from the Cascading Grace die set and glued one side to the back and the other i attached with tiny pieces of velcro.  All the papers i got from Micheal's craft store so it's an easy project to make up for you to give.

Thank you so much and be sure and stop on over to the other DT members and see all the neat things they will be sharing all month with you... Have a very blessed day!

My favorite Things...

It's been too long and i can't believe summer is almost here again.... I am excited for all the things we have planned to do as a family and of course it's warmer and the days are longer so that means more time to craft.

Today i am sharing some more of my favorite cards i did with Spellbinders when i was on the team. There were always so many gorgeous dies to chose from and both Becca Feeken and Stacey Caron were always my favorites.  And if you haven't been to the Spellbinders store lately you should go and see all the new things that they are releasing!!  It's amazing....

So this is probably one of my favorite things i did.  It's a wedding invitation using one of
Becca Feeken's pocket dies.   It's gorgeous and easy to make and then all you have to do is fill it in with the invitation and response cards and mail them out.  What could be more elegant or gorgeous than that.

This one i did for one of the trade shows and it was fun to do a little sewing and lots of layers on it with that cute little owl.  I love snowflakes and using them on all kinds of things so this one was really special to me.

And this one i loved the colors and how simple and vintage it looked with the dies and the cute little rocking chair die.  The saying was really special too and perfect to give a special friend.

This one i really love because how the vellum looks as a layer on the card.  The light aqua is such a soft and pretty color and layers from the dies really stand out.

This one is also one of my favorites because i mixed a bunch of dies together to make it.  I really love the gold and ivory colors together and the butterflies were my moms favorite.

And this one I love because of the pretty designs in the dies and the textured backround.  It was super easy to make with all those gorgeous layers that came in the set and a fun stamp i had in my stash.

Thanks for dropping over and seeing what's new.  And i hope i gave you some ideas to create
a fun card or cards to send out this weekend.... Big Hugs and Smiles!!
