It's a Patriotic Blog Hop for RRR this month...

It's that time of the month again for our RRR Blog hop and it's going to be fun!
The colors and ribbons for this month are so fun, bright and easy to use.
But i have lots to share today so we better get started ...

But first...If you started at the beginning of the hop then you should have
arrived from Karens Blog and wow what a cute project she made....

My first project is decorating this lantern that i picked up.  We love to stay out
late in the summer and barbecue and have candles lit for extra light.  So to start
i wanted to do a little something fun for the candle too so i found
this tall white candle taper to fit inside and wrapped thin natural twine around it
and added a few stars with die cut papers to make it more patriotic looking.

Here is  a better close-up of the candle and i also made a quick banner with all
the ribbons and a simple cut out banner that i bought and made a mat of blue
to match the ribbons for the back of it.  I love all the bright prints and colors of this!

And for the top ribbons on the lantern i tied a big huge bow with the
wire edge natural ribbon and then layered on both the
red diamond satin ribbon and the bright blue check
ribbon to make it kind of country backyard barbecue styled.

And what barbecue is complete without lots of friends over to enjoy all the good
things that you make, so i created this invite to send out to our friends.  It's made with
the new 6x6 Doodlebug patriotic picnic pad and stickers.  The colors of this were a
perfect match with all the ribbons and it had the cutest things to use for it.

And yep... sometimes i just get carried away with inspiration and just have fun
so i also made this cute little patriotic bird and covered another candle for a
decoration on another table that i have.  For the candle i used paper to cover
the outside first and then added another layer of red jute ribbon over it.  Then I
tied some ivory jute string several times and tied it in a pretty bow.  The stars are
from the sticker sheet but you could also punch them out if you want to do lots
more to decorate other things at your party.

For this card i just layered all the pretty papers and matted them with white
to created a definition between all the layers.  Under the eagle sticker i used
a Spellbinders star die in both red and white to put him on.   I used red jute string
on the bow and finished it with a cute vintage button from my stash.  I really love
this one alot.  And it was super easy to do too.

And here is a share and the link to the new ribbon club assortment...

And now it's time to hop on over to Jenn's blog to see what is new and
inspiring from her.  Be sure and leave a comment for a chance to win
some of these beautiful ribbons for you.  I am going to share part of
my stash so that you can have some fun :)

Big Hugs and Smiles...Teresa

RRR Autumn Challenge for September!

Wow it's hard to believe that it is Sept already but for me that's good
because it means the hot weather is over and the
cool brisk days of fall are coming. Sooo happy about that :)

I was out shopping in my local crafty store and found these really
cute fall cookie cutters and this adorable owl sticker so i thought i would
design a pizza box so that i could put them inside to give with either
brownies or fudge in them wrapped up.

So how do you make your own box you ask?
Well to customize your own box- lay what you want on a blank piece
of paper and measure the size and then add on the height that you want
to the sides and the back.  I picked just 1 1/2 inches high for mine
and it ended up only using one piece of 12/12 with a small piece added
to the bottom for the flap.  If you google pizza boxes you can find lots
of patterns online to get you started and then you can create from there.

For my project i used these ribbons:
green polka dot sheer ribbon too.  The papers are from Doodlebug
and Bo Bunny dots and the Spellbinders die is one of my favorite
called Grand Decorative Circles One.  The little Thank you tag is also
from Doodlebug and you might see a few more things with that one later.

Thanks so much for visiting us and be sure and check out all the other
teams designs for the challenge and enter one of your own to win some
of the gorgeous ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbons!!

RRR August Blog Hop today!!

Good Morning everyone and welcome to our August hop with
Really Reasonable Ribbon !!  You should have arrived here
from Bonnie's Blog......and if you just started be sure and start back
at the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog... we all made so many
neat things to share with all of you this month :)

So... in cleaning up my scrapbook room this month i found lots and
lots of fun things that i had put aside to do and create for whatever
so today i am sharing with all of you a Kaisercraft wood frame set
and another from Creative Imaginations. And of course lots and lots
of ribbons from the yummy August Ribbon Club Assortment.

I have done a couple of these and found that gluing it together and
then painting it is alot easier.  I used paints from Americana and papers
from Imaginese to make it.  The photos are from our trip back to Indiana
last fall and we had the best time doing the fall U-Picks.... and the front
piece flips up so i can write about the fun things we did that day :)

And most importantly the ribbons i used for it are: Mesh Ribbons,
Jute String, and orange satin swirls ribbon and gingham ribbon in rust
 from the Ribbon Club Assortment.

This next project is a wood trifold frame that i had from Creative
Imaginations.  I painted it first in brown and then i covered it with pretty
papers from Bella Blvd with lots of die cut stickers.  Then i added
lots of pretty fall colored ribbons from RRR to finish it off.  And all i have
to do is get some wonderful photos this year when we go apple
and pumpkin picking up at Rileys'.  I can't wait its my favorite place.

Thanks for stopping in and the next person on your hop list is
Cherry so have fun and hope you get even more inspired!
