Cardabilites Sketch #72 is up today...

There is a new sketch up on the Cardabilites Blog today
and we have lots of fun cards to inspire you to create
something fun for your family... I never know where
my inspiration will lead me so this time I have a card
that I made from a new Echo park pad that I bought.

First here is Karan's sketch..
and here is my card that i did..

I bought a new 6x6 pad this last week
and it had this super cute print with fans on
it and so I thought about making something a little
humorous to go with it for my brother's birthday.
So for my card I used an extra flag and used the
4 hearts as 4 things and came up with this.
The top 2 pieces are Spellbinders dies:
Lacey Circles and Labels Twenty five and
I use the label die to stencil inside of it and give it
a little more color.  The sentiment I did using
a font on the computer so that it would match
my fan themed paper.
I did another card too going the opposite way
with some G45 papers and this is how it came out..

I put the flag on the opposite side and
fussy cut some of the flowers to make the
pieces in the center with the 2 borders going
across the middle. These papers were really
fun to use and I have a few more ideas for
them for another time but I hope you all
have a very Blessed Easter Day with your
family and friends and
dont' forget to join us and create something
fun and post it on the blog with all of us!
You might even be chosen as the winner this time!

Hugs, Teresa

I used Random.org to pick my winner this morning and
the image wouldn't load for you all to see but
 she is #43..
Stampin Melissa who said:

Great layout! I love that French Frills die! I have a 9 y/o DS so
I rarely buy frilly stamps or dies, but I'm loving that die!
We have pics from France so perhaps
that is enough of an excuse to just buy the set? :D

Congratulations and thanks again so very much
to all of you for hopping with all of us this time!

Just playing around...

I had someone ask me to create a Paris themed invite
for them at the store and after I saw the location
I had the perfect idea for it.  It's a trifold and inside there
is room for a photo, RSVP and the actual invitation...
it's going to be in a ballroom for a very nice young
lady so I didn't want it too fancy but still
just a little bit girly....

So for the backround on the top pink piece
I used 2 different stamps from Stampendous
and for the Paris one I added some of
Stampendous aged Gold Embossing powder
mixed with bright gold.  I was looking for an
antique gold look on pink and I think it looks
pretty neat.  I added some tiny flowers and a
couple pieces of foliage in gold and tied it with
a pretty piece of bias ribbon in pale pink to match.

It was really fun playing-- and hopefully after I get
a few more things done and Card Club this
week I will have some more things to post!!

Have a great week and be sure and check
back on the 25th for the winner of our hop!!

Hugs and Smiles,  Teresa

Nestie Besties Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Our DT at Spellbinders wanted to share some
of the projects that we made on our blog so we decided to
do a fun hop today to show you and tell you a little more about
them.  We have lots of inspiration for you
and even a chance to win a few prizes along the way too.
Soooo.... lets get started..

My project I want to share today is a page I did with the
Spellbinders French Frills dies designed by Samantha Walker.
I had the perfect photos from a trip for this and even
the papers that she designed to go with
the dies so I was really happy with the way it turned out!

We were lucky enough to get to go on a family trip to France
and Germany one year and one of my favorite places was the
Eiffel Tower at night.. oh.. and 10 or 20 other places that would
take me way to long to share about.  I can hardly wait
to go back sometime but until then I have lots of pages to
remember all the fun that we had together like this day :)

The Spellbinders dies I used for this are:
S5-145 French Frills by Samantha Walker,
S5-058 Ironwork Accents
and of course my Grand Caliber GC-001
and the papers are by
Carte Bella and are called Paris Girl--
there is more in the Spellbinders Gallery too
about it that you can find here...

So it's time to do a little hopping again..
your next stop on our hop is the fabulously talented
Theresa Momber and I know she will have something
incredible to share with all of you....

Angela Ploegman
 Darsie Bruno
Debbie Seyer
Heidi Van Laar
Judy Hayes
Michelle Woerner
Teresa Horner -that's me!
Theresa Momber
 Tina McDonald
Yvonne van de Grijp-(starting later)

Don't forget to leave a comment on my post
about your favorite SB die that you love
for a chance to win some blog candy too!
Winner will be picked at random on March 26th

Have fun on the hop and
thanks so much for stopping by :)

Cardabilites Sketch #71 is up today...

Good Morning Everyone!
Today there is a brand new post up on the Cardabilites Blog
and I get to be one of the new Design Team Members!! Yay!!
I made 3 cards to share today with some new papers
that I got from my LSS from Doodlebug.

I wanted to do something bright and cheerful with
spring coming our way here in California and
with all the pretty bright colors of this collection
it was really easy to make them...
So first up let me share the sketch for this week-
and now my card...

I added one more piece to the sketch as a pocket
to put one of the tags in the set and stamped
"Have a great day!" on it.  The flower I created with
my Spellbinders die "Jewel Flowers and Flourishes"
and put another one of the stickers over it.  I added
bits of foliage at the sides and tied a pretty piece of
orange twine on it. The colors are just so pretty :)

So I was on a roll and decided to make this
next card along the same idea but
I flagged the ends and added the sticker on
the top and 2 arrow stickers for the flags instead.
This is a really quick and easy card to do!
I think it took all of 5 minutes maybe :)

And for my last card I turned the sketch sideways
and glued the 2 pieces on top of each other and
made a pretty flower with a few white leaves with
the same Spellbinders die as my first card. Oh and I
offset the lines in the Hello Sunshine tag so that
it would stand out and not blend so much.  It goes
but then it doesn't.  And one more thing to share is if
you notice the envelopes under the cards are done
with M-bossabilites folders by Spellbinders.  I love
using theirs because they give you such a bold and raised
print and how fun to make your envelopes special too
when you give your cards away!

Thanks so much for stopping over for my first reveal
and let me know what you think about the cards,
I always love to hear from you :)
Hugs and smiles and have a wonderful day...

Pinterest Recipe Book

I try not to be addicted.. but I love Pinterest and all the fun
things people share and lately I have been really hooked
on recipes and trying them out ....soooo...
I got out another one of my composition books from
my stash and made a place where I can put all the fun recipes
that I find from Pinterest and my favorite Food Network shows.

It's a little bit Smash book looking but I love
doing these because you can use up alot of stuff
that you have around and it's fun doing them.  The papers are
from Crate Paper and I used the chipboard and stickers
on the front and inside on a few of the pages too.

Inside of my book I made some divider pages so
that I can put the Pinterest recipes in one and then
maybe the TV ones in another.  So far I have
had great luck with alot of them and my family
has said alot of them are keepers. Yay!! That is good
because it's fun to be together and enjoy new things
and make healthy foods for everyone.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and hope you like
my fun little journal of sorts and can find some things
laying around today and make one for you!

Lots of hugs today....Teresa

Birthday File Folder Class

Here is a little sneak peak of my new file folder that
I am teaching tomorrow at the store!!

I am teaching a really fun file folder this month
with Bo Bunny's new Birthday line of papers.
This was really easy and fun to design with all the
tags, flags and other bits of paper that you had with the set.

and...I just want to say the papers are so cute and I love
the balloons and the borders the best I think.  If you
haven't started these file folders they are awesome and
can really hold alot of photos so I hope I inspired
you a little bit to try a few of your own :)

Time to go to work but have a really great day :)
