M-Bossabilites Folders

Today i am doing a post over on the Spellbinders blog about the
M-bossabilites folders that Spellbinders makes.  I can't say enough
about these neat folders and if you haven't tried the 3D ones then
you are in for an amazing surprise.  They are incredible and change your
simple flat paper into something gorgeous in the blink of an eye.

I am sharing a card i did with the Venetian M-bossing folder
and the matching die that goes with it.  Venice was one of my most
favorite places i visited so this one is dear to my heart and i did
it in whites and silvers like the masks that you can buy in the
shops there.  One fun thing about the folders is that you get 2 designs
in each one.  One on one side and then flip it over and then one on
the other side.  Below you can see how i embossed the card.

This is both sides of the folder.  I embossed one on the top
and the other on the bottom leaving a small space between them.
You can see how amazing they work and what great detail they
give the papers.  If you have a chance be sure and check out
the post i did on Spellbinders using clear plastic.  It was easy and fun!

Thanks for stopping over and be sure and stop back for
our New Years Eve blog hop... there is going to be lots and lots of
prizes given out by all the designers on it :)

A peek into my scraproom

So today i am sharing a few photos of my Scrap space via my new design
team Craft Hoarders Anonymous... I am actually going to move most of
it out to the garage to have a big table for sewing and painting new week
but this is where i create everything that i do right now.  It's messy and i
have collected way to much but that is half the fun right :)

So how on earth did i amass such a huge amount of things you ask?
Well i was lucky enough to work at a Scrapbook store for 12 years and
i taught ALOT and went to the CHA shows and well --you get the idea.  It's
pretty much my life and i love that i get to enjoy creating things each
and every day for my design teams and for classes. This is my desk where
i stamp and color.  I have a really great view from my window here :)

My favorite buy was the IKEA drawers that have all my favorite
things in them close at hand and organized.  I am still looking for
a neat way to do my Spellbinders dies so hopefully I will find something
when i move all this to the other room soon. Other things like my
ribbons for Really Reasonable Ribbon i store in boxes under my desk,
along with paper and other goodies like bling and mini books to do.

My son always tells me that junk expands to fill the space so
you can see that it's time i move to a bigger space.  Inside
my cabinets are all my favorite things i have made and painted
through the years.  I use to be a decorative painter before i got
into scrapbooking so i have lots of things i saved one of to remember
all the fun my partner Shelley and i had all those years selling.
Oh and i sew too ( i had dreams to be a costume designer) so some
are the dolls i made... it was great when my daughter was small and all
the girls loved them.  So that is it for today but i will share my space
again when i move and with all the neat things i found on pinterest
it's going to be really nice i think.  Thanks for stopping over and visiting
and be sure and check out our challenge next month in Jan.

Have a great day everyone.....

Victorian Butterfly card

Today i have a really quick post to share using another of the Spellbinders
Victorian dies that i got from them.  I adore all the detail on this die and I
really love the way that simple layering really made the dies pop.

The die for this card is called Victorian Medallion Two.  I used a paper pad
from Kaisercraft that has lots of beautiful shades of aqua and brown to blend
with the ivory paper that i used.  The stamp is from Fun Stampers Journey
and i colored it with Copic pens to match the papers.  And of course the ribbon
i got from Really Reasonable Ribbon.com and it comes in lots of other colors.

Well that is all for today again... hope you loved this die as much
as i do and hope you are getting all your holiday things done too!

Happy Holidays,  Teresa

Quietfire Blog Hop for Christmas

Thank you so much for stopping over and joining all of us on the
new stamps just released for Christmas.  If you just started today be sure
and check back on the blog for Mon and Tuesday for a chance to win lots of prizes
and meanwhile I get to share something fun today with all of you that i did.

I actually had a different idea in mind but somehow like most things
i do it evolved to become this huge wooden snowflake that i could put
up in my house to decorate.  I bought the snowflake from my local hobby
store and decided not to paint it this time.  I did cut papers from Spellbinders
dies to fit the center and on that i stamped my image and embossed it with
a really pretty red glitter embossing powder.  Then i used Fired Brick distress
ink to create a border inside.  To finish it i cut out lots of snowflakes from
the 2013 Spellbinders Snowflake die and i glittered it all up with rhinestones
and glitter from Stampendous.  It was one of those fun messy kind of
crafty projects i did while listening to my favorite Christmas carols so
it was really, really fun to do!

Here is a close up so that you can see the stamp better.  It is called
Good Friends are like Snowflakes and you can buy it here.

I have another quick project that i did with the new Merry Christmas
stamp set.  In this one you get 6 gorgeous styles of the word and each
is different and will make your projects unique and beautiful. I layered
lots of dies in ivory cardstock and added little touches of gold on the
flowers and with the photo corners to match the sentiment.  I hope that
you like what i did and it inspired you to create something fun too.

So how do you win the prizes.. just read a little further...your almost there.

It's time for our RRR Blog Hop today......

Welcome everyone and thank you for hopping with us at RRR at this
busy time of year.  Today we are sharing with you all a
beautiful set of ribbon club assortment called Winter Wonderland
and they are filled with beautiful styles in blues silvers and whites.
I had so much fun using them this month i went a little overboard
and i used some of the things in my stash so now i can get some
new things to start the new year off to create! How fun is that :)

So for my project i am sharing a wooden reindeer that i picked up
from the hobby store and i painted with white American multi surface paint
from Deco Arts.  I cut apart silver snowflakes to decorate his body and
i created a gorgeous ring with all the ribbons from the club assortment
to adorn his neck with.  I also glued some clear superfine glitter on his
head and legs to go with the sparkle of the ribbons.

For the mini wooden joy banner i used christmas papers from My Minds Eye to
cover the wooden banner and then joined all the pieces with beautiful ribbons
in blues, silvers and reds to match it.  I used these ribbons in the set:

Here is a closeup of the ribbons that i used on it. Aren't they so pretty?

So..... if you are hopping in order you should have arrived from the amazing
and talented  Heathers blog and I hope that you have found lots of fun
ideas along the way and you next your next stop will be hopping to Jenn's blog...

Using Vinyl with Spellbinders Dies

Here is another beautiful die to share with all of you today! I am on a
roll these days with all the projects to share using these fabulous dies
but then these are right up my alley with that Victorian look.

There were so many gorgeous borders released in the Victorian set this month
so i decided to use this one today to create a pretty border that i could cut
out of vinyl to put on a mug and some pretty accents for my card that i made.

This die set is called the Anne Border Strip and I love the simple way
that it can be used to both impress the design in simple white card stock
and use it as the border. The card is a trifold and i did that so i could layer
the borders under the edges and have them stand out better.

The vinyl is really easy to cut and it stays on for a very long time
even if you wash it.  I had to cut 2 strips of the vinyl to fit around the
mug but i made sure the design continued nicely. The vinyl you can
get online and is by Oracle.  I have used it alot on all kinds of glass
projects and it works really good and comes in about 60 or more colors
so imagine what you could do with it.

Sorry this is quick but thank you for stopping over to see
what's new.  I am headed out Christmas shopping today!  Last night
we went to this amazing neighborhood where everyone does gorgeous
light displays on their house. It was really fun and got us both
in the Christmas spirit... have a great day :)

Graphic 45 Christmas Card

I always tell you that if you have a special person in mind for
a project i think that your heart will help you create something
magical for them and today i have just that kind of project.

I made this card with the new Christmas line from Graphic 45 and
a beautiful plaid paper from the pet line they have.
It's so beautiful and the colors are just amazing I think!

I wanted to make a special card the recipient could put on a desk beside
her so i did an easel card for the base and used one of the tags on it to
make the base of the top part of the card.  I also cut a pretty frame using a
Spellbinders die to back it and then added some tags and stamps on the page.

To finish it i cut out some Spellbinders poinsettia flowers and added
just a bit of gold stickles on them to match the ribbon that i used
on the bottom.  I hope you like it and I know my grandma will like it too :)

Be sure and stop back by for more inspiration this week and
please leave a comment so i can visit you too :)

A little Christmas Church ....

Today i have something really cute to share that i made up with a few
of the girls on the Spellbinders team.  Spellbinders parters with an amazing
company called "A Gilded Life" and they make gorgeous products to use
for jewelry and for amazing projects in your home.  So today i want to share
a new die that they came out with in November that you can make these
adorable little churches with and add lots of gilding to your own taste.

Mind you i just made this last night and it's my first try at this
so i have lots of things i would like to try to do another but you get the idea.
All the pieces come in the set and i used 110 lb card stock
to do the base and then used a Fun Stampers Journey embossing
folder pieces to glue it to.  I wanted to make snow on my
simple church roof so i used some modeling paste and
glittered it up really good with glitter from Stampendous
that i had in my stash.  I think that on my next one i would add a cross
to the front of the church and maybe some icicles would be
pretty too... It was really fun to make you all need to try this!!

Here is a photo of the Deco Art modeling paste that i used
for the snow.  It dries really quick and it's light enough
to use on the paper without weighing it down.

Here is a photo of the die pieces as you would get them.

And lastly here is a lighted shot from the windows.  It would
be fun to put a light in the bottom so that you could have it
glisten at night with all your other decorations or in the tree!
Maybe do a small cut that you could put a battery operated tea
light into and out when you need it.  Hmmm i will have to figure
that one out for the next one :)

Be sure and check out my team mates blogs and see
what they came up with too for their projects and if you
make one be sure and leave your link so that we can share
it on the Spellbinders facebook page soon..

Thanks so much for stopping over today!

Silver Ornament card to share

Hi everyone, today i have another card i did to give out this year
with a really pretty new Spellbinders Victorian die called Regal Frame.
This is a really gorgeous set to use to make your holiday cards this year and
just about anything else you can think of for the new year after.

The frame was perfect to cut out in silver and put around a gorgeous silver ornament
that i made with the Spellbinders Heirloom Reflections die set.  The silver string
is from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store and you can order lots if you need it.

I also used a beautiful Christmas stamp set that i got from Stampendous
called Tis the Season and i stamped it and put it in the inside as you can see below.

I hope that all of you are having fun getting ready for the holidays.
Things are super busy around here and we are headed out to
Disneyland tomorrow to see the parades and see all the gorgeous
decorations that they put up every year.  It's my favorite thing
to do.  Oh and see Santa Claus too!!

Be sure and let me know what you think about the new dies
so far.....i have a few more ideas in the days ahead too!!

Happy Sunday with Blessings... Teresa

Hugs and Smiles,  Teresa

Believe in the Magic....

There is another fun sketch up on the Cardabilites blog today and i decided to join
in using some gorgeous snowflake dies from Spellbinders and lots of glitter.

I used a Fun Stampers Journey embossing folder for my base
and layered lots of pieces from the die to create the sketch.

The glitter i used is from Stampendous and they have lots of
beautiful products to use to make your holiday cards even more gorgeous.
The white eyelash yarn gave it that perfect touch that i needed to make
it more whispy and snowlike looking.  Here is the sketch that i used.

Thanks for dropping by today....

RRR December Challenge is up

Welcome to our December challenge for RRR.  This month we
are doing Tags, tags and more tags and we hoping to inspire you
to get a little creative and make lots of tags for your holiday projects.

I had just gotten lots of these cute little stickers so i decided to start with
some premade tags i had in white and emboss them with a snowflake
folder to create the backround.  Then i stamped them all with red ink
and added pretty bows made with the Winter Wonderland ribbon club set.
Then i tucked in all these cute little snowmen and they are ready to go.
Super quick and easy to do... I love that part :)

For my next set of tags i used some of the ribbons that are
here in the Christmas themed section on RRR.

Here is a closeup of one of my favorites.  I got out lots of
my border punches and used lots of pretty ribbons and burlap string
to decorate them all up.  These are actually going to be for
gift cards.  I am going to put a pocket on the back so that i
can slip on inside and give them for a gift.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out our
challenge blog for more fun ideas making tags this month.

I just couldn't wait to share this card i did with one of the new Spellbinders
Victorian dies that were just released and some of the new ribbons from
the Winter Wonderland ribbon assortment from RRR.  I just love the reds, greys
and silver together in this card and the intricate details in the die really set it off.

This die is called Victorian Medallion Two and it has 3 pieces in the set so
that you can cut the beautiful piece out in the center and separate them to
stamp on and create the intricate pattern that i did.

Here you can see the pretty ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbons
new Winter Wonderland set.  The grey's went perfect with it and the
silver string added just the right touch that i wanted. The papers are from
the Pink Paislee Merry and Bright 6x6 paper pad. I really love this set.

So.....Thanks for stopping by and be sure and come back i have lots more
Christmas cards to share this week and next with the new Victorian dies.

Have a really great day... Big Hugs and Smiles :)

Card Club Christmas Ideas

Hi Everyone.. today is a very happy Monday for me and I hope that you
all had a really wonderful weekend with all your families and had
lots of yummy things to eat on Thanksgiving.  Our's was good and we
watched the Macy's parade and of course lots of football games.  We
spent the rest of the weekend catching up around the house for the
rain that finally started today and some Christmas decorations
up in the house too.  I am almost done and everything looks so pretty!

Today i am sharing a few of the cards i did for my class last weekend
that we stamped and used lots of Stampendous glitter on.  We had lots
of fun since i did 2 days of back to back classes and it was so good to
get together with all the Card Club ladies before the holidays.

My first card is using a beautiful stamp from Stampendous
that you can see here.  This one sold out fast and they all had alot
of fun adding the glitter and snowflakes to make it look like a beautiful
snowfall at Christmas. (I used the Frantage Treasures glitter set)

This was a really elegant and fast card that is just done with
the new Victorian release dies that you can see here.  It's called
Heirloom oval and it's really beautiful cut out in white. We just
stamped with gold and embossed it with Stampendous detail
gold powder and added a bow and some stickles to it.

This stamp set is from Penny Black and the girls had a good
time creating a scene with lots of colored inks and glitter.
For this one i used a new Stampendous snow glitter called
Shaved Ice and everyone loved it!!

This cute reindeer stamp is by Hampton and it was super easy
to use and we just added a little bit of glitter on the antlers
and the scarf... I love this one and it went together really quick.

My last card is using a new poinsettia stamp set and we created
a watercolor effect by using sponge daubers to add shading and
more color into the flower and of course lots of glitter by
Stampendous.  They have lots of new products that you can see
here and it makes all your things that much more gorgeous!!

New products i used in class are:

Thanks for stopping by and have fun making your
Christmas cards... guess i better get started too- only 25 days to go :)
