Card Club for February

Hi Everyone,

It's time again for my Card Club for Feb and this month
we are using lots of new stamps from Stampendous
and their Frantage glitters and embossing powders
and are they ever fun to use.  I love glitter and glittery things
so this should be a fun class to do and teach for me :)

This is my favorite card to do only because
I used lots of inks to do the backrounds and used
some of the aged embossing powders to glitter up
the front of the card.. I love really old things and
the purples on this were so pretty!  This idea is from
the catalog but I put my own colors and spin on it ...
It would be great for a dinner invite i think :)

This is all the cards that we are doing and even though
the layout idea is simple I used them in different ways
with ribbons and ties and cutting things out to change
them up each in their own ways...

This is a close up of the corset stamp.  I stamped it
in black and embossed in clear and cut around the
edges so that I could pop it up.  Where the flowers
are I added bits of glitter and the mica chips to make it
glisten a little more.  The backround is also a new stamp
and I used the taupe aged embossing powder on it.

This is my last favorite card because being
from California I actually have some of these
antique labels and it was fun to do a woody
kind of shabby card using chalks and colored
pencils for the stamps.  You can't see it but
I put glossy accents on the orange itself to make
it look more juicy!  It's fun just to play sometimes!

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I can take
a few photos of the ladies and share what they did
for all of you.  Have a great Thursday!

Bramble Rose MME

I was out scouring the isles yesterday for a few
things to make some cards and came across this
beautiful 6x6 pad from MME  (Bramble Rose) filled with
tiny roses and bits of worn wood and other fun papers so
of course I had to get it!  And then back to my craft room
I went to create!  Yay!  I made a couple more cards
but I always feel funny posting them if they are for
special people because they should get it before I
show it off so that it is more of a surprise right?

So this is my card to share today...

I also got a few new packs of word stamps from
Hero arts and this was from one of them and I
thought that it went well with the vintage papers.
I made it really simple just using bands of
the lovely papers and adding some ribbons,
flowers and a few stick pins.

I am off to read my new Suzi Blu book
and start getting back to some painting and
canvas work so thanks for stopping in
to see whats new and I should have lots more
to share this week because it is time for Card Club
at the store and we are making lots of pretty cards
this time with lots of glitter and embossing powders!

Hugs and Smiles to you,
Teresa

Yahoo I made the Cardabilites Team

So first things first I guess! I have some great news today..
I made the Cardabilites Design Team this term and you can
see all the other girls here that made it too!
I am really excited and love Karan's teams.  All the girls
are always so nice and it's so fun to do the sketches
each week!!  Yay!!  Such wonderful happy news!!

and....
We got some fun new Easter things in the store
from WeR so I had to get some and started on a few cards
last night.  For both of them I used the 6x6
paper pad from WeR, some stickers, tags, pearls
and some of my favorite Spellbinders dies!!

For my first card I used one of my favorite dies
this season from the Card Creator Series called
Matting Basics S5-132. I Love this die set!!
You can cut and emboss with it and you can
just only emboss the design in things too. It's awesome!!
I also tucked in a little butterfly from the Les Papillions
set in yellow and polka dots and added some pretty
little pearls on the top. Don't you just love butterflies!

I really loved all the soft colors of this line
and the prints in it were just so very pretty too,
I think that I am going to have to maybe go
and get a few more sheets just in case....
But anyway...

To make my next card I started with a white card base
and ran it through my M-Bossing folder to make the
tiny dots.  Then I used Timeless Rectangles S5-158
to make the base in the green stripe and the floral print.
The flower circle is a tag but i used my circle die to cut it smaller so
that I could make the Lacy circle border around it in
the orange dot and pop it up. And lastly to finish it
i added a butterfly sticker and stamped Happy Everything
with a new stamp I got from Paper Smooches.  The
stamping didn't come out so hot but I think it was
the coating on the new stamp so FYI clean your stamps
before you stamp so it comes out clean and crisp.

That is all for today and
Thanks so much for stopping by and
hope you have a really wonderful day :)

XOXO Card

Good morning everyone!  I have the day off today so I wanted
to play with a fun embossing folder that I have and create
a card with a new stamp from Penny Black..

Sometimes... something catches your eye (heart folder) and then the
creative juices start to flow and that is how I got started today!

To make this card I embossed a piece of white cardstock with
this beautiful Spellbinders m-bossing folder called Hearts EL-008.
The design is so pretty and is perfect to use for lots of
different projects for Valentines next week!  I also used Penny Blacks
new stamp "Long Stem Cuties" on the Grand Decorative Ovals One
smallest die #1 and my favorite Versafine black ink with a little
bit of clear embossing powder to pop it up.  The papers I
used are from Doodlebug and the tiny pearls I made with
a pearl pen in cream. For the little mice I just used my chalks
and shaded them with matching colored pencils and a little
bit of marker.  Sometimes I like using chalk because
it is easy to blend and looks more subtle.
And lastly for the tag I added the xoxo in black.
(The finished card is 5x5 just so you have an idea for size)

Here is a close up of the pattern in the folder.  It is
really pretty and I guess you can tell this is my favorite holiday
with all the hearts and love goodies out there.

That is it for today
and thanks so much for stopping by!

Cardabilites #68

There is another fun sketch up on Cardabilites this
week and just to get my Valentine cards done I thought
that I would play along and play with some of my dies.

Here is the sketch for this week

and here is my card that I created

I used 4 different dies this time (some are old and
some of them are new) and mixed
them up in layers to create my card.  The papers
are from the new Basic Grey Valentine Collection
and the flower is from Prima.  The stamp in the center
of the die is from Hero Arts and I used Archival Ink
in Vermillion and clear embossing powder over it
to get a deep dark red to match the papers.
I also popped it up alot between the layers so that the
really pretty intricate details of the dies stand out
and I think it came out pretty cool!
Here are the dies I used just so you know :)
S5-090 Romantic Rectangles
S4-316 Heart Circles
S5-123 Asian Accents
S4-114 Standard Circles

Thanks so much for stopping over
and I hope you have a very crafty weekend
and make something fun!!
Hugs and Smiles
