Vintage Treasure Notepads

Happy Saturday to all of you..... and thank you so much for stopping by today.

This morning i have a few fun projects to share that i did with Becca's newest notepad die set.  This is such a fun and easy set to use and you can make so many different versions of this.  I did 2 for you... one for a friend that works at Disney and the other a fancier version with flowers.  In each of the die sets you get all the pieces for flowers, the base and for those cute little note letters.  It's so cute!

And this is the inside.  You can make up your own notepads for a perfect fit or you can find them online to just pop in and glue.  The die set also comes with this cute little die piece to add a pencil...
And you can find it here on the Spellbinders website to buy...

These would make such wonderful gifts for Mother's Day and Christmas...

This is one of my favorites because of the colors and also the simplicity of it.  I just layered the pieces on the inside and out and matted them in silver to make a sleek and fancy noteholder.... Love it!!

And the best part is that you can make these in about 30 minutes from start to finish.  It's just that easy to do.... Be sure and check out Becca's blog for more ideas with this die set!!

Hugs and Smiles and thanks so much for stopping over today :)

Vintage Treasures Book Cover

Today you are going to be really surprised at my project that i created to share i am sure.... when i used to teach classes our favorite class was getting messy with inks and sprays and lots of embossing powders.  Sooooo... i decided to channel my inner Seth Apter and make this journal cover for a book i am doing with some vintage family photos.  It's such a perfect way to use these dies.
My die is called Cannetille Rectangle and is from the brand new Vintage Treasures dies that were just released.  I originally made this in soft shades of pink for the packaging samples so i thought doing a total 180 would give all you embossing gals something fun to do with them.  What a difference layers of ink and aged embossing powders can make to a cut out die.  Imagine using thin chipboard too.  How fun would that be to try....

The details in this die set are so pretty and the tiny bits of vintage gold embossing powder from Stampendous really just cling on to the right places and make this look so old.  The spray i used is from Lindy's stamp gang and the neat part of these sprays is that they all have a two toned effect to them.  I used one with teal colors and the other with green and added a bit of purple ink that you can just barely see.  Lots of layers of inks and embossing powders can produce amazing effects.

The inside is just simple ivory pages and i am going to add some old family pictures that i found while working on my ancestry books these past 2 years.  I actually have alot so i might have to make a couple more of these for the other sides of the family.

Thank you so very much for stopping by and I hope you like this project ... I have lots more to share in the weeks ahead with these new dies so i hope you can stop back again.

Hugs and Smiles.... Teresa

Happy Golden Anniversary

Wedding Anniversaries are some of my favorite events to celebrate and we have a big one today for a couple that has been married for 65 amazing years.  They are two of the sweetest and kindest people on the earth and I am so happy for them.  So... i had to make a special card to give them and i came up with this beautiful ivory and gold card using one of the new shadowbox dies and one of my favorites from the Vintage Grace collection.  Since this set has stamps included in it, it was perfect to use for my card.

With each layer i alternated the ivory card stock and gold metallic paper and made sure that each of the details stand out.  I really love this card and the simple elegance of it makes it so beautiful.  I hope they like it and will celebrate many more happy years of marriage in their lifetime.

Thank you for stopping over today and be sure and stop over to the Spellbinders website and see all the new dies Becca has ....

Have a really wonderful and relaxing weekend,
Teresa

Amazing Paper Grace April Die of the Month Blog Hop

I am really excited to share about this new die of the month from Becca Feeken and Spellbinders.  There are so many fun pieces in this new set.  And with all those cute word dies and the other fancier pieces and flowers i can really add to my other dies or just make this spectacular card to give away for Mother's Day this year.

For my papers on this card i chose to use a patterned paper filled with roses in beautiful shades of pink and burgundy and grey.  It was fun to layer the card with all the die pieces and make all those sweet flowers for the front to give it a beautiful vintage feel.

Here you can see all the dies you get in this set.  The flowers are super cute and you get gorgeous leaves in this set too.  And i really love that fancy little panel that goes on the sides of the pop out.  I still haven't decided who i am giving this too so i haven't done the 2 pictures that go on the center panels but you get the idea.  I want it to be perfect so i am going to search around for the right ones.

And inside you can see how this works.  There is a fold out piece that you cut 2 of that will be anchored in the center of the bottom that you adhere the mini book that you made to.  And when you fold it open the whole thing twists and folds out and then closed when you close it.  Be sure and use strong tape for that piece so that it will stay working for along time after the person gets it.  It's a fun thing to do and I am sure they will want to show this one off alot to all their friends and family.

My next Card for Today is:

For my Hello card i just used the pieces of the die and created that back round on a piece of printed pink paper.  I used the arches to put above and below the center and then used the frame of the design part to make a rectangle to put my sentiment in.  I had to chalk the word just a little to darken it up so it would pop but i think it looks really pretty with all those pieces put together in a different way.

To add a bit more depth i criss crossed pink crinkle ribbon across the center under the sentiment and then i added a cute pink bow with a pink flower over it to anchor all of it together.  And to finish it i added a light pink card stock under the gated front panel and then attached all of it to an ivory card.

I really love using all these pieces and i can see me using this die for alot of other cards in the future.  It was fun to make this and i really truly love how it came out.  And it's pink so i love that too.

Your never too old to dream a new dream....

Happy Saturday and it's so nice that you came to visit and see what's new on my blog... did you have a chance to hop with us and see the new Vintage Treasures Dies?  I hope so.  They were all really pretty and honestly i can't wait to mix a few of those with some of the Shadowbox dies.  How fun will that be to do...  there are so many things to make with all these dies.

Today i have a cute little frame that you can set on a table to inspire you each and everyday.  I have a HUGE list of things i want to do in my lifetime so i love this quote.  And of course I used my favorite colors for it.  Lots of turquoise and white with lots of texture.
Here is the die set so that you can see all the beautiful intricate details of it.  There are 3 layers so each of them would be wonderful on their own for cards and other fun projects you want to design.  Or you can mix them with your other dies to create even more things.....

And here is a closeup.  Remember that if you use thinner paper for these frames it's a good idea to cut a couple of them and glue them together for stability.  And the added thickness will give it more dimension and just look prettier and more richer.  And don't forget those 3D foam dots in between layers.  That will also make if more dimensional.  On the outside edge if you notice i added one of our flower border dies to give it more texture.  You can use borders or even embossing plates for the frame before you put it together.  That part is really fun and you can get so many different styles that way.
Thank you as always for stopping over to see what's new...

Have a wonderful weekend in your part of the world :)

Teresa

Introducing The Vintage Treasures Collection by Becca Feeken

We are so tickled today to be introducing  Vintage Treasures .  You'll find this entire collection chalked full of classics!!  As always, there is a rectangle, oval, square and circle that will work well with everything in your stash and are perfect for layering.  Next are several embellishment sets.  As you hop through all the design team links in the blog hop, you'll see each of the new dies and how we used them.  You will love all the inspiration in this hop.

Inspiration for Vintage Treasures

There is a special place in our hearts for those things kept in a hope chest.  Other than a promise of the future, they symbolize things of value and keepsakes that bring back treasured memories.  I delved there to find memories, filigree jewelry and keepsakes of old.  From long-forgotten turn of the century jewelry to the edgings on an old tattered handkerchief, I love bringing the past into the present in a style that is ....well, timeless.  These things -- bejeweled lockets, a sweet tiara and vintage adornments from long ago -- provided the sweet inspiration and restoration of some lovely, lovely Vintage Treasures.

The physical dies in this collection have an extra measure of flexibility and function.  Most templates have an outer rim, and inlay and an inner rim that you can use for your sentiment.

My Project For Today:

My Second Die for Today is one of my favorites with this collection:

Shapeabilities Cinch and Go V Etched Dies Vintage Treasures by Becca Feeken

Since this flower is a die set you can use with all your other favorite dies i mixed it with my first die set by just using the biggest outer die for the top of the box and then adding lots of gorgeous little handmade flowers over the ribbons.  I also cut up the center piece and used that for a corner piece and also for the front clasp.   The best part was it was really simple to put together.

*If you had the chance to buy the Becca Feeken box this past year this is the one.  It's one of my favorites and it's perfect for a gift card.

And as to the flowers-- i cut lots and lots of them in white paper which is so easy to do since they are attached in a row.  I chalked them with pink ink on the edges and then stacked them with white stamens in the center of each and glued them on the back.  This die set also comes with leaves so i made those in a pale green and chalked them too and tucked them under the flowers in the center with ribbon.  And of course lots of pearls.

Now it's all set to add a small gift or gift card for the happy couple.  And perfect for a wedding i have coming up in June this year.

Friends Forever Card with Graphic 45

I am not going to lie... i love this card and how it came out.  The crisp color combination of the papers and the beautiful details in these dies really make a great match.  And i added some tiny handmade flowers into the mix and it adds just the right amount of femininity to balance it out.

If you have had the chance to hop with our design team for the last month or so we all have been sharing fun ideas with the new Shadowbox Dies from Becca Feeken.  The two i used today are called Adoria Square and the Layered Friends forever Cafe Scene.  They match perfectly over each other and making the cafe scene in a matching black print really pops that part of the die set out.

Here is what the die looks like for the base of my card.  I used the outer die set and then the middle square die to set the cafe scene on.

This die set also comes with those tiny flower dies that you see and for me those are always a good one to have on hand and make up in big bunches.  You can keep them handy in lots of colors to use on all your projects.

And this is the cafe set of dies.  And don't forget you can use just pieces of dies from sets to make fun things.  And always interchange them with your other dies to get more use out of them.  I just love Becca's dies and love how versatile that they are .

We are having a blog hop this week on the 10th sharing the brand new Die of the Month.
It is beautiful and i hope that you have the chance to stop and see all of our projects.

Butterfly Acetate Gift card Box

I can't believe that it is Wednesday already... where does all of our crafty time go during the week?  Being that it was a really fun and relaxing week for me i decided to have a little fun and mix up a few of the dies from Shadowbox to make this fun pillow box gift card holder.  I have a birthday coming up and wanted something fun and cheerful so i think this will work really good!

Using some of those things you have stashed away is always fun and i found these Graphic 45 calendar papers that made it even better.  I love the bright colors and the banded center with the butterfly really says spring.  I used Shapeabilities Shadowbox Ribbon Threader Etched Dies Shadowbox by Becca Feeken to created the layered band over the outside of the box and added the Shapeabilities Flutter Wing Shadowbox Butterflies Etched Dies Shadowbox by Becca Feeken to the top with a pretty rolled rose and bias ribbon bow to finish it.  Each of them creates such pretty details on the box.

You are going to love this butterfly and all the things you can use it for :)

The inside card is easy to make just by measuring where the plastic corners end and then cutting it.  You might have to trim it a few times before it fits in perfect but then you can add a strip of paper on both ends and add your gift card in the center.  How fun is that.  And don't forgot to add flowers.  There are so many dies by Becca that you can use and if you are running out of time you can always use some from your stash.

Thank you as always for stopping by and i have lots more to share so please check back soon!

  Hugs and Smiles.... Teresa
