Playing along with Sketchabilites today...

Since I got scads of photos printed last week and a

beautiful new sketch is up on Sketchabilites-- I

thought I would play along and get some more

pages done while my mojo is still working good!!

Here is Karan's sketch...

and here is my page that I did...

This is a picture of my DD and her friend

on her birthday at Disneyland. They are both so funny

and fun to be around and we had a really great day

celebrating with her.  The papers I used are from

Bo Bunny and are from the Prairie Chic line which

fits my baby girl pretty good I think! The sketch was

really pretty and made it easy to put my page

together quick and I got to use a little paint too!

I fussy cut lots of the tags and goodies that I had

on the paper to create the flower cluster that she had.

And I inked some prima wood leaves to fill in the spots.

I am still trying to use what I have around and mixed

some Bo Bunny letters and Authentique letters from

my stash. I love the colors and it was really fun to do.

Thanks for stopping over and have

a really nice day !

New Sketchabilites

Today there is a new post up with a really fun

twist on using a die cut and i really loved playing

along with this idea!  There is lots of flowers and places

to put embellishments so I picked some of my favorite

papers and stickers from Basic Grey and had fun...

Here is the sketch this time...

and here is my take on it...

Title: Good Company on a journey
makes the way seem shorter....

My inspiration started with the word sticker and I picked

this fun photo of some of the talented and amazing

girls that I met on our Spellbinders retreat this spring..
Just let me say they are even more amazing in person...
so sweet, so nice and sooo fun too!!!

but on to the page of the day...

I cut my own die cut shaped pieces and overlapped them
to get the shadow behind the smaller one and added
lots of the stickers from the large sticker sheet and used

lots of foam dots to pop it up and give it dimension.

It was just really fun and I love that some things that really

mean alot to you seem to go together pretty quick.

If you haven't tried Karan's sketches be sure and

pop on over to her blog (Sketchabilites) and try a few and

get caught up on some of those pages you have been

meaning to do!  And don't forget to post what you did...

We would love to see and brag about you :)

Have a great day and lots of hugs,

Teresa

New Sketchabilites post up today....

We have a new post up again at the Sketchabilites

blog and it's super cute and you can do lots of different

kinds of pages with it.  I used the sketch to create this

page of my DD's recent trip to Sea World with some of

my favorite papers by Bo Bunny.  Love these colors!

Here is the sketch this time:

And here is my take on it:

I tried to keep to Karan's sketch but only used

one photo for my page.  All the blues and greens

in this paper were just perfect for this picture.

There is lots of waves and tags and chipboard too.

Wish I would have gotten more of this one.....

I used circle letters from Authentique and chipboard

letters American crafts.  The chipboard was fun to

create a little bubbly sea plant scene with fishes

in the corner and I used the waves to continue on

with the pool at the bottom.

It was a really fun page to do and it's going on the

wall now to share with everyone who comes over!

Thanks so much for stopping in and seeing my

new page today and I hope you all have the

chance to stop in all the other DT's blogs and see

what great pages they have to share!

Hugs and Smiles,

Teresa

New Sketchabilites up today!

It seems like the days are going by so fast but

I am really happy for summer to be here!  Lots

of sunshine and relaxing and lots of time for scrapping too!

We have a new sketch over at Sketchabilites this week

and there are some really cute pages that everyone did

so be sure and stop on over and check them out...

Here is the new sketch to create from:

and here is my take on the sketch

I used some of my favorite Doodlebug papers

to create my page and the beautiful colors and prints

made it really easy to put it together this week.

The photo is a friends daughter and she is

just so adorable and I think the papers went perfectly!

The flowers are a mix of the stickers from the Doodlebug line

and of my Spellbinders Carnation creations.

I used some 3L foam squares to pop them up to

add some dimension and that was all it

needed!  Thanks Karan for another cute sketch and

sure hope you all created something adorable and join

us for a chance to win a prize!

Have a Scrappy Happy Day :)

Sketchabilites #71

Karan has a new sketch for all of you today over

on the Sketchabilites Blog and it a really fantastic one

so be sure and pop over and maybe try it out with your
own take on it and enter to win a fantastic prize too!

Here is the sketch this time:

And here is my take on it---

My title is "our adventure in Venice"

This was such an easy and fun page to do and

I used lots of different bits and pieces of things

that I had in my stash to create it.  I kept the

sketch pretty much the same but added extra borders

and a few extra tickets and letters for my title.

All the colors of flowers pick up all the pretty colors

in the photos and for me personally reminds me of

all the beautiful flower stands there on the island.

It was a really, really fun trip for all of us.

Thanks so much for stopping over for a little inspiration

and be sure and join us and upload your page too!

Have a fabulously creative day,

Teresa

New Sketchabilites sketch posted....

It's already been 2 weeks and it's time again

for another amazing sketch from Karan and

lots of new pages to show off on the Sketchabilites Blog!

Here is the New Sketch posted:

and here is my take on it this time...

I joined over at CSI a couple of weeks ago .. )which

is totally up my super sleuthing alley) and used some

of the clues to create my page for today!  It's a blast

and I love combining the two together.  This is a

picture of my daughter at her dance recital last year and

the song lyrics "Baby you can drive my car" by the

Beatles was just perfect.  My journaling is hidden on

the left with a tag and I made the flowers with

a Spellbinders Die and some brads from Basic Grey.

Sometimes it is really hard to get the right letters

so I often download fonts on my computer so

that I can change the colors and size to whatever

I want it to go with.. This font is called Eyewitness

which I thought was pretty cool seeing that it's CSI.

For my page I used:

Echo Park papers and stickers

Spellbinders Tags and Flags S5-095
Spellbinders Rose Creations S5-050

Me and My Big Ideas Chipboard

Zva Bling/ Basic Grey Brads

Thanks so much for stopping in and be sure

and check out all the other amazing pages

that the DT did on the blog and pop on over

to their blogs to see more...

Have a super amazing day,

Teresa

New Sketchabilities Post up today

The Newest Sketch is up at Sketchabilites today (#69) and

I decided to do my page of my wonderful niece and her

trip to Greece this spring.  She got to go for a week

for college and really loved the whole experience

and loved the fabulous old ruins everywhere.

So being that I am putting together lots of pages

for her to remember the fun things she did at college

this is one more to add to her book.

So here is the sketch we got this week #69

and here is my take on it----

For my page I found this really neat old looking papers

in gray, greens and cream that went perfect with her photos

she sent me.  They were in Thessalonica and the picture

where she is looking up is her thinking about where

the crepe store is up the street.......she loves good food!!

and for a small town USA girl this was one amazing trip...

So this photo is a closeup of 2 dies I used from Spellbinders.

They are Twisted Metal Tags and Accents S5-071
and the border from Damask Accents S5-080

and I added purchased flowers and pearls to match it.
I left the tag blank so that my niece can fill in with
her words about some of their favorite things she did there.

My favorite thing about Karan's sketches is how much

fun it is to add details on your pages no matter what you

decide to use for that spot.  Each sketch she does
every 2 weeks has lots of detail and
is really fun to work on. She's amazing!
For the page I cut the flags like the sketch had them

and added these fun pieces from the die to make it look

more Roman/ Greek looking.  And adding the

embossing on the dies gives it that much more dimension.

Hope this gives you a few fun ideas and be sure and check
out all the other layouts on the blog this week and
you can even do your own sketch and win prizes!

Have a wonderful day,
Teresa
