You are wonderful card

Good morning and I am so happy you could stop over again for a little Die Cutting inspiration.  Today i have a sweet card to share that i did with Becca Feeken's "bookmark/tag etched die".  I wanted to make something different with it so i used it as a window of sorts on my card and layered the sentiment ovals and flowers on it to really pop it out.  I kept the papers really clean and crisp so that everything would really go together well.  And...Sometimes it's fun to try new things with your dies to get other effects and change things up a bit with them... It keeps my crafty life fun I think :)

And the flower you see is also one of Becca's dies called "Cinch and Go Flowers Two".  You can make this alot of ways depending on what paper weight that you use and like Joanna on our team, you can use handmade papers and have a whole other effect.  It's really fun.  For mine i just cut 1 of each petal and just slightly skrunched them and then added a cute little flower i had in my stash for the center.  It finished it off just perfectly.

And for the sentiment i used 2 of the labels in the "Curled Grace Oval Die set".  It makes this hobby alot more practical if you mix and match your dies and that way the possibilities can be endless!

Thanks so much for stopping over today and i wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas!!

A Very Merry Christmas

Today i have a really special post to share that i did for a very special friend and neighbor that is moving away this month.  I wanted to make something very bright and cheerful and let her know that i will always remember her during the holidays and all the days hereafter and i think i did it.

For my card I used lots of Becca's new dies to layer a pretty vintage Christmas card.  My inspiration came from that beautiful piece of red metallic paper i found in my stash and as i layered i added a touch of glitter and a bit of glistening ivory paper too.  As always it was really fun to make!!

For this this card i really wanted to bring out all the textures so i added a layer of embossing on the paper too that just slightly peeks out on the edges.  It's always so neat to see how incredible all the dies go together.  Everything on this card is a die so it was nice to be able to make it all match... even the poinsettia's.

And just in case you need a supply list...

Spellbinders Nestabilities Breanna's Corset Label Etched Die

A little bit of whimsy

I know that usually i do a post with very victorian styled projects but i do have a totally different side from working at the scrapbook store that i did.  I got to use so many different papers to create displays and one of my favorite lines was Doodlebug.  So having a bunch of those little cuties in front of me i decided to get out my Venise Lace Mini Card/ Booklet Gift Box die and put together a cute gift card box for a friend.  I created this one in white and then cut pieces of patterned paper to decorate the top and sides.  Under the cute little red bird i added a white die cut from the Francesca Label die to make it all pop.  And the cute little buttons and twine on the front just add a fun touch of whimsey to it all.

My favorite part about this die is that i always need a cute little box for something so i can make this in any color or pattern and fill it with fun things to give for gifts.  And i don't have to go out to the store to find one.... love that part so much.

And for my second project we used to make lots of these little paper wrappers for cellophane bags of treats.  They are from a 12x12 piece of paper and you can cut them 4 inches wide or like mine is 4 1/4 so that i can get more of the colors of the prints to stand out.  I just used the Gossamer Knot Ensemble that goes with the box and made a pretty white trellis backround for my Santa and his tree.

And to finish it i punched two holes in the top and tied some Doodlebug twine and added a sticker heart.  And inside is a goodie bag filled with yummy chocolates to give to my friend.  These are great for those little gifts that you want to give to remember those special in your heart!

Thank you so much for stopping over and hope that you Christmas Holidays are going good!

Your thoughtfulness card

I have one of my favorite cards to share with you today with a brand new die from Becca Feeken's new Chantilly Paper Lace collection called Annabelle's Trouseau Layering Die set.  There were so many gorgeous details in this set i decided to use only solid Bazzill cardstock in a very soft peach for the whole card to really make all the details shine.  And of course a few rhinestones and ribbon to add extra sparkle.

I really love all of Becca's dies but this is one of those special dies where you can make the whole card with the die by cutting 2 pieces of the base and attaching them together at the top.  It's just so pretty.  And I love all the little tiny dots and swirls in the die and the Penny Black stamp i used with swirls really sets it all off.

Thanks so much for stopping over today... i am in my crafty studio creating lots of fun
things this week for gifts so be sure and stop by again for a bit more holiday inspiration.
