C'est Magnifique Pocket page challenge for January

It's time for another fun challenge up on the C'est Magnifique blog today!  Since
there are so many of you that do pocket pages we have a few ideas to share with
you using the new kit available this month.  I did mine using the tags page that comes
in it and made a quick and simple page for some upcoming photos i need to do.

Since the object of this way of scrapbooking should be quick and simple i went ahead and started
by using the cards that come on the tag page as my center line.  Here i can add journaling if i
need to and names or important places with the letters in the kit.  For the outside four photos
i used the cardstock for the base and inked around each one with gingerbread ink.  Then i cut
white card to use for matting on each and added some tags and left over flowers that i had. All
of this comes in the Basic Kit so there is plenty left over to do more pocket pages...

This has to be pretty flat so that you don't ruin your photos so the flowers and letters
were all that i really could use for it.  You can add some ribbon for borders or maybe
a flat button or 2.  There really is lots that you can do with this paper line.  And the
best part of it is that this is all my left overs from the other projects that i did so it shows
that you really get lots of fun goodies to use.

Thanks so much for stopping over to see what is new and be sure and check
out all the other pages on the challenge today... and don't forget to show us what you
made with it.  Have a fun and crafty day!!  Teresa

Adventures in life...

Today i have a post with a couple of cards i did with some of my favorite
papers from Kaisercraft.  This one if full of neat things about Adventure
and i so love it i am going to do a book for my National park Bucket list book.
We have been to 14 so far and i have lots of amazing photos and things to put in
it so i guess i better get started and make it a really big book since there will be
so many things in the future to put in it too.

I am hoping this year i can do lots of quick trips places to see some fun things
in our beautiful country and the sentiments on the cards pretty much say it all.
I love the colors and all the neat little bits that you get with this set.  Yep
i could go on and on about this one.....

Here is just a quick photo of the card and the papers.  The orange one
has a really neat world print embossed in clear on it.  I used a die from
Richard Garay to cut it out and pop it up.  And then i just layered some
fun pieces from the Kaiser set called "Wanderlust Collectables".

And here is the other card.  I love all the fun tags in this set... it's a fun
way to add ribbons and if you need any for projects this year be sure
and check out "Really Reasonable Ribbon"... lots of amazing ones
at really good prices.

So thank you for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment so i
can stop by your blog for a visit too.  I am hoping to have more time this year
to do other things and can't wait to meet all of you :)

January Hoarders Hop... are you ready?

It's the beginning of a brand new year and time to find and get out all those projects
that you have stored in your scrap room to make something fun!

Today i have a new journal to share that i made with a Simple Stories release
from last year called I AM.  I love to make up journals to post about things that
happen throughout the year and i love this paper line so it went together pretty well.

For the book i used one that i found on sale at Hobby Lobby.  It has clear pockets
inside and i picked it up for less than $8 so that was wonderful.  On the front I used
some of the 12 x 12 papers in the "I AM" collection and layered on some of the
journaling cards and stickers.  Then i added words from the other adhesive sheet
that matched it and a few frames from the chipboard set too. It was nice that i had lots
of things for this line and kept it all together to find when i needed it.

And... with everything else that i do i added some little whipped spackle dots with a Prima
stencil that i had in my stash.  Don't you love all the pretty colors in this set?  Me too!

Here is a quick photo of the inside that i created.  Besides the clear acetate pages i added
white card stock pages that i can add journaling and photos as i go through the year.  I hope
that i will have enough space... I have lots of adventures planned in 2016.  Can't wait :)

And here is what some of the stickers and letters look like in the set.  Most
of it is precut cards so it's easy to create places for photos and journaling. And
that is it for me.  I will have lots of fun things each month to share so be sure
and check back again next month ......

So you should have arrived from Wendi's blog but if you didn't and want
to check out all the other things we did check the list at the bottom ok!

And now it's time to hop to the next designer on our team...
the amazing Barbara Rankin :)
