Happy Birthday Money Card

Happy Sunday to all of you and thank you so much for taking the time to stop over today.  I am sharing another of the newest dies by Becca Feeken and Spellbinders called "Candlewick Lace Card Front".  This is such a wonderful die to use because it's so easy to make a card or like i did a money envelope.  The die is so intricate and beautiful and it cuts like butter.

Inside of the card it folds up and i cut the same piece and added the white on white to make a pocket to add a few dollars for a special persons birthday.  I hope she likes it.

And to this amazing die i also added the new "Rosebud Etched Die" by Becca Feeken.  With this die you can make those gorgeous buds in whatever size and color that you need for your projects.  I created a white rose and then chalked it with ink to make it match my card.  Oh and that cute little Candlewick swirl comes in the set.  I really love this new line and all the things that you can create with it.  I hope you do too so be sure and check out the whole line HERE <<<<<

Have a really wonderful Sunday and i hope you are doing something crafty today!

Hugs and Smiles.... Teresa

Sending Birthday Wishes your way

Today i am sharing another one of the brand new dies just released by Becca Feeken and Spellbinders called Exquisite Topper.  I wanted to do something really different for this card so i cut the layers in different colors of cardstock and then glued them over the top of each other to make a waterfall of lace.  And to keep the waterfall going but not distract from it i added an ivory one at the bottom.

You can see all the beautiful detail in this die and how fun it is to use as a cut out and also mix the colors.  You all know aqua is one of my favorites so i guess that is why i love this so much.

Here is a picture of the die.  If you had the chance to hop with us on the blog hop this month you would have seen lots of fun ideas to use this die.  It's really gorgeous and the detailing is just amazing.

To close my card i made a slide on ribbon closure with a sentiment in the center.  The sentiment is from Penny Black and fits this card perfect!!  Can't wait to mail it out.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a wonderful rest of the week.

Teresa

A Special Gift for you

Who couldn't resist to get a gift purse for a special occasion?  I know i love them so when i saw this new die called Candlewick Petticoats i new that it would really make up pretty.

My first step was to measure from side to side so that i could see how wide i needed to create the purse.  Then i  made a small rectangle box the same width to put my gift in.  The black paper i folded over the box and scored it to fit and then did the same for the top.  For the dies i cut one in black to blend in on the bottom and one in white for the top to layer over a piece of grey and white.

Here is the die set with all the pieces ....

After i glued on all the pieces of the purse i added a thin handle to fit.  I had some really pretty white satin ribbon and to that i created a white rose with the new Candlewick Rosebud die set.  It was super easy to just dampen the paper and use a stylus to skrunch it up a bit and then when it was dry i glued it all together and added the leaves and that adorable candlewick flourish.  So cute!!

I think i might make some matching stationery to go into this with a gift card for Christmas.  It won't be that long to start shopping and i will be that much farther ahead.

Have a really nice day and thank you for stopping by today!

Big Hugs for my Special Friend

This is probably one of my favorite dies in this new set of Candlewick Sampler dies called Candlewick Edged Corners.  Each of them are extraordinary in their own way but i love how this came out with the pink paper and chalking.  There are 2 different styled dies in this set so i used one for the top and one for the bottom and cut them 2x and layered them so that they would sit nicely on my oval that i stamped.

And then after i cut and embossed them i used a dauber with some pink chalk ink and added all those pretty candlewick dots.  I just love it. That part looked so cute i thought that then i had to chalk around the outside edge of the oval too.  It all blends really nice now.

The rest of the card i layered simply so that all that Candlewick goodness will shine and lastly i made a matching rose and tucked it in with a few flowers and die cut leaves to match... yep, it's my favorite.

As you can see there is so many ways that you can use this die set so be sure and stop by all of our team this month to see their spin on the die too.  I got a sneak peek already and there are so many amazing things that everyone created.

Also don't forget to pop over to our new APG Guest Designer this month.  Her name is Shari Holt and she creates so many inspirational things with Becca's dies.  It's worth the stop for sure :)

Thank you so very much for coming to visit and i hope you like my card today !!

Hugs and Smiles..... Teresa

Introducing Candlewick Sampler /Giveaway

If you're a "Gracelet" or by chance happened by the Amazing Paper Grace website over time, you have no doubt wondered how Becca comes up with her names and inspiration.  Today, we're excited to give a little peek into a new collection and the inspiration.  Join us as we share lovely creations made using Candlewick Sampler

Since the age of 12 Becca has loved fiber - she quilts, knits, crochets, does cross stitch and before becoming a Licensed Die Designer sewed most of her own clothes. Fascinated with intricate textures and the look of laces, fabrics, and embroidery, Becca tried to replicate the look and feel of those textures in dies.  Candlewicking has such a distinct look and Becca thrilled at the prospect of getting that look and feel into a die.  If you've loved her lace look collections or that elegant look of Hemstitch, you'll love Candlewick Sampler.

The Inspiration Behind Candlewick Sampler
Candlewicking is a type of whitework embroidery normally done on cream or white fabric embellished with cream or white french knots.  The series of french knots create the outlines of the pattern giving it a unique look while adding a touch of elegance.  In these dies, you can see rounded motifs that hint at the texture of dots.  Without overpowering, it's a sweet little detail present on all the dies in the collection.  Plus, it just happens to be the perfect spot to place a pearl.  Google candlewicking and you'll see exactly what we mean.

My Projects For Today
I'm introducing  "Candlewick Grand Pocket"
Here is what the plate actually looks like.

For my project today I made an invitation.  I love to throw parties and do wedding invitations so this was the perfect die to make a pretty pocket with and add a simple but vintage invite on vellum.  I cut 2 corners with matted silver paper and overlapped them at the bottom.  Then i layered the silver and blue papers under it and tied it with a matching  grey satin bow.  I would be so excited to get this invitation and I am sure it would be a party to remember and get me intrigued to come all the more.

Season's Greetings in Glimmer

I had to share this card i did with the new Christmas Glimmer plates and foils that Becca created for Spellbinders.  It is called Christmas Damask Jubilee and the designs in it are just so gorgeous.  I knew i had to keep it simple so when i heated it on the glimmer machine in gold on the red metallic paper it really did it justice.  It turned out better than i imagined.

And since that was my focal point I wanted to make a simple back round to place it on so i used another set of glimmer plates called the Gilded Nested Rectangles that are just frames and i made 2 layers in ivory to go under the red piece.  And then it just needed a sentiment so i used one of the sentiment die cuts to create that in gold metallic paper and used the bright red glimmer foil to compliment the layer under it.  It's very sophisticated and would make an even better front of an invitation for a party.  But this one is going to someone really special this year and i know they will really like it!

The last thing i added was a really thin bow in red satin and on top of that i added gorgeous buttons that i found at Joann's.  It's fun to shop around for that special piece that will really make your card stand out and i think this really added the perfect touch.

Thank you for stopping by today and be sure and check out all the other holiday glimmer plates that Becca has so that you can try them.  They are really fun and so easy to use....

Have a wonderful day,  Teresa

Amazing Paper Grace September Die of the Month Blog Hop

Another month has come and gone and this month for September all of us on our APG team have been marveling at all the ways you can use this amazing new die set for the September Die of the Month called "Snip It Flowers".

At first glance, it looks like a background die; but it is anything but a background die.  It was designed so that each of the flowers can be snipped out to create a panel, frame or element.  Whether you want the 4 x 4 frame, the 3 x 4 frame, a one layer border, a two-layer border or a corner, all you have to do is "snip".  Each one of us has taken the die and spun it into a creation - we hope to inspire you as you hop through all of our blogs today !!

This was another really fun die to use so for my first project i used the whole die and cut it in muted gold paper to put on a vintage back round papers with black to make it pop.  It was really simple to make and the rhinestones really added an elegant feel to it.  You are going to love trying some of those gorgeous papers in your stash with this die..... you really have so many options with it.  You could craft all day long .....

Here is the die as you will get it in the set and it also comes with those tiny flowers on the sides so that you can layer the pieces if you should decide to cut them up.
How fun will that be to do?

To download the flyer showing 12 different configurations of Snip-it Flowers, click HERE.

My 2nd Project Today:

My second project is a pizza styled gift box that i created using just 9 of the pieces to make a square.  I cut and embossed this piece and then layered the other elements around it and added a pretty bow and flower.  This was super fun and easy and i even had extra paper to create this tiny gift card to go with it.  This only has 4 of the flowers and measures 3x3.  There is so many ways you can snip this and make gorgeous cards and other things... you are going to love having this die in your collection.  I think it's one of my favorites so far!

And here is just a closeup so that you can see the gift card better.  I just love this!
