CSI Case File S365-1

I am barely getting in for the case file this month but I am
happy to have finished another couple of pages and it
reminds me that I need to get more done for my trip.  This time
CSI has a fun travel challenge and I did some pages on
our trip up to Canada to Niagara Falls and Niagara by the Lake.

so ....First I want to share the things I needed to make my page...

It was a really fun file and there were lots of things to
think about with it.  I always have fun and it really makes
me think outside the box when creating.  So my page today
is about this really neat and old hotel that I found while on my
journey in Niagara by the Lake.

There where so many neat places in this town and
I would love to live there with all the beautiful victorian
stores and shops and beautiful houses.  I really had a nice
time there and can't wait to go back someday.

Some of the evidence I need was metal, a sunburst,
journaling, stripes, a title and the cute little passport book.

If you get time be sure and stop over to see some of the other
neat pages that everyone posts for this Casefile.
Thanks for stopping over and hope you have a great day!

Asters and Poppies...

I am trying so new things lately, it is always good to explore
new products and do something you may not always think
is your style but the result may surprise you.

For my card today I only used solid colored cardstock
and for me that is a real miracle because after years
of working at the store I was a real patterned paper junky!
But I am trying to make easy projects and this was a snap.

I used plain white to cut the back borders out of
S5-158 Timeless Rectangles and layered another white
piece on top using S5-156 Labels Twenty-Nine.  I do
really love mixing my dies and it makes it fun and gives
me so many more styles to use for making cards and such.

For the top of my card I used a brand new Die D-Lites
Asters and Poppies die from Spellbinders and
Cut/Embossed it in white cardstock.
You can see all the beautiful detail in the embossing
and I think that is what I love the most about the dies
and no one else has dies like this!!  WTG Spellbinders!

Thanks for stopping and checking out my new card
and hope to see you again.  And don't be shy about
leaving a comment or letting me know where you are,
that is the best part of being in this creative world :)

Hugs and smiles...

New LOTV came in my mailbox...

Lily of the Valley stamps had the most adorable release a
couple of weeks ago of little bears and girls and lots of fun
Christmas stamps so you know i had to order a few.
They have some new colored image packs that I picked up and
these are great for when you are in a pinch and need something fast!

Today I am sharing 2 cards that I made last night and I
really had fun with the layers of dies and lace and lots
of flowers that I had in my stash.  And pinks.. lots of pinks!

My first card is this adorable little girl that had the
best day shopping.  This was inspired by my wonderful
friend on our SB team who lives in London named Christine.
I love big hats and pretty lacy things and I love how everything is
lovely there.  The LOTV sentiment went just perfect.
(Can't wait to visit someday Christine and have tea :)
For this card I used Basic Grey Kissing booth papers and
and I embossed the center with a butterfly folder called
Garden delight and was the perfect touch of texture for it.

And my next card today is a Birthday card for my DD.
I love the little girl getting all dressed up for her big day
and so reminds me of my daughter when she was little.
I used Gold Labels Four on her and also made a red
piece out of Labels 29 for the back to make the reds pop.
The flowers are from Prima and the pearls are these super
tiny ones that are becoming my very favorite to use from
Want2Scrap. The flourish is a Die D-Lite and is called
Fantastic Flourish and I cut it up and tucked it in with the
ribbons and the bows on both of them.

So that is all for today and I'll be making
lots more things from the goodies I got... I even got a few
new baby stamps too with adorable little bears on them :)

Hope you all have a really great weekend.

Wonderful Week with Spellbinders

I was so excited to make the team again and even more
excited to get to meet all the designers on the team this year!!
Stacey is so amazing and flew all of us for the best weekend
ever to Arizona to have classes and meet each other!
And it turned out to be so very, very, very fun...

This is just a few shots of Judy (my roomie last year)and
some of my favs like Debbie Olsen and Yvonne, Beck( roomie
for this year), the amazing Ken Oliver
and of course my favorite tablemate last year Lesley!

I also got to meet Becca Feeken, Heidi Blankenship, Seth Apter,
Linda Lucas, Sheery Cheever and Candy with G45!  Everyone
is so very nice and being with all that talent each and every day
was absolutely the most amazing way to spend a week...

The photo session was sooo fun and our photographer was the
best.  The out takes were a crack up and I have lots and lots
of those for my scrapbooks but these are some of my favs.

It was the first time I have been to an I Pic theatre and it was
the coolest thing in the world.  Where on earth can you get
blankets and pillows, lounging chairs and dinner brought
right to your seat... AJ, Heidi and I got front row seats and
I snapped a few shots of everyone else enjoying the movie too!

I know you have seen lots of funny shots of Nerd night but I
wanted to share a few of mine.  Laughter is the best
medicine of all and we were all in stitches the whole night
with all the funny pictures we took, dancing and just being
a little bit crazy together... it was the best :) Theresa, Beck,
Marielle and my new Nerd Buddy Janice you are the best..

And here is Stacey the wonderful, amazing, sweet
kind and awesome owner of Spellbinders who made
all this possible for all of us.... thank you so very much :)

I loved this picture of Chris showing all the dies
that we get at the retreat!!  Their generosity is an understatement!
We definitely got really spoiled with all the goodies
and dinners and yummy treats during the day :)

One of my favorite classes was taught by John from
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko.. I love inks and all the other
products they have and he is just the best teacher!!
If you get a chance to take a class you really should..

And the last day Linda and Beck shared some amazing
treats from Aussie land and they were so good!  They
spoiled us too and am so sad they had to go back home :(

Judy and Thespa :)

And sadly on Sunday morning we had to leave and
go back home but I have made so many new friends
and have a memory to last a lifetime!!  Thank you so much
to Stacey, Kim, Cathy, Richard, Cindy, AJ, and everyone
else who made this such a very special week for us!!

Watch out everyone.. Spellbinders is going to rock
the house even more than usual this year!!

Golden Coin Bezel Necklace

If you didn't know already, Spellbinders joined with an
amazing jewelry artist last year named Susan Lenart Kazmer
and designed some beautiful bezels and other fun things
for us to use.  I made a really fun and simple to do necklace
on the Spellbinders Tutorial for July that you can find directions
and a supply list that you can make yourself.

For it I used Spellbinders cotton rag papers and gold metal foils
and embossed it with the new Gold One Enhancing Element Dies.
I added bits of gold glitter inside and then poured a clear coat of
Susan's ICE Resin to seal it all.  I repurposed some beads that I had
and found a pretty piece of chain that went well and put it all together.
I thought that it would be really pretty with a white or black sundress
for summer and guess I am going to have to make the matching earrings
now too.  You can get the bezels online or you can get them from
JoAnn Fabric store.  They are really fun to use and you can make so much with them.

Thanks for stopping and visiting and don't forget to leave a comment.
Always happy that you stop over :)

Sisters Card

Hi Everyone!!  Today I have a pretty card to share that
I made to give one of your favorite sisters in your life.
I can't say enough about all the fun I had with my 2 sisters
growing up and wish that we all could spend more time
together now.  But thankfully the times that we do are
great and we really have fun.

So my card today uses 3 Spellbinders dies.
I used the Matting basics to create the backround pieces
and then used on of the new S5-190 Noble Rectangles
for the printed insert in the back.  The tag was from
the Cosmo Cricket Queen for a Day paper pad so
it matched perfectly.  I added some pretty Prima flowers
and Foliage that I cut from the Foliage 1 die and
just a few little pearls to finish it.  It was super
quick and easy to do.

Also I want to say Thankyou to all the ladies that
attended Card Club this weekend.  It is wonderful
to be doing something new and different and having you
all there to enjoy the fun with!  I can't wait for next month
and really love our new homes!

I have lots to do before I leave for Arizona and our
Spellbinders Retreat so I better go..... I hope that you
all have a wonderful day and happy creating to you!
