New Sketchabilites sketch posted....

It's already been 2 weeks and it's time again
for another amazing sketch from Karan and
lots of new pages to show off on the Sketchabilites Blog!

Here is the New Sketch posted:

and here is my take on it this time...

I joined over at CSI a couple of weeks ago .. )which
is totally up my super sleuthing alley) and used some
of the clues to create my page for today!  It's a blast
and I love combining the two together.  This is a
picture of my daughter at her dance recital last year and
the song lyrics "Baby you can drive my car" by the
Beatles was just perfect.  My journaling is hidden on
the left with a tag and I made the flowers with
a Spellbinders Die and some brads from Basic Grey.

Sometimes it is really hard to get the right letters
so I often download fonts on my computer so
that I can change the colors and size to whatever
I want it to go with.. This font is called Eyewitness
which I thought was pretty cool seeing that it's CSI.

For my page I used:
Echo Park papers and stickers
Spellbinders Tags and Flags S5-095
Spellbinders Rose Creations S5-050
Me and My Big Ideas Chipboard
Zva Bling/ Basic Grey Brads

Thanks so much for stopping in and be sure
and check out all the other amazing pages
that the DT did on the blog and pop on over
to their blogs to see more...

Have a super amazing day,
Teresa

Card Club for April

We had a really fun Card Club on Friday and Sat. for april
and we used so many fun Spellbinders dies to create the cards.
I showed them all the beautiful Edgeabilites, Embossing
folders and dies available and what fun things we are
going to create in the months ahead with them...
I love seeing big smiles :)

Everyone really loved how easy it was to make
the flowers and how fun all the dies were
to use on both the edges, create labels and
to do tiny pretty inserts on your cards...

I got big smiles from Leslie and Helene,
it was a really fun 2 days of classes this month...

Favorite flower I think was the roses to make,
all of theirs came out really beautiful.
Thanks ladies for such a wonderful weekend :)

And so lastly today I have
a new card I made to share today
that I did with some new papers that
dropped into my shopping basket again :)
(I love when that happens)
It's not too often that I can make a man card but
I really like the way this came out and the ribbon
looks pretty nice on it too.  I used 2 different dies
on this card.  One is Labels Twenty Two S4-346
and the other is FancyTags Three  S5-031.
The papers for this are from Echo Park-Note to Self
it has some really nice prints and colors and I like
the numbers and music papers.  Really cute!

Don't forget the Spellbinders Spring Blog Hop
starts tomorrow and my day is this friday morning!
so have fun hopping and be sure to enter the contest so
that you can win some amazing products!!  Yay!!

Have a great day,
Teresa

Spring Flowers in the air?

Well it seemed like it was going to be spring but
the crazy weather we are having with snow in
places says a little bit otherwise I think.  But not to fret
because there is lots of papers out there with lots
and lots of flowers and a few jumped in my cart
again so I had to make up a few cards just to play
with my new Spellbinders dies!

I think my favorite dies to use are all the flower dies
that Spellbinders has.  You can make so many
different styles and the paper choices make it
really fun to experiment with... and the flowers
match perfect so what could be better right? And did
you know that you can cut fabric and lots of other
fun materials with it too.. Seems like lots of fun
creative possibilites out there... love that :)

These flowers are made with the Bitty Blossoms die and
I used a couple different prints for these and curled the
edges with my tweezers.  The papers for this card
are from Echo Parks new "This and That" paper line.
Isn't it just scrumptious! I so love the prints on this :)

There is lots of wood looking papers out there now and
i thought it would be fun to create an old fashioned
doily looking card with lots of layers of dies. I popped
them up with thin Scrapbook Adhesives foam dots.
The Spellbinders dies I used were Lacey Ovals S4-293
along with my Floral Doily Motifs S5-041. It's fun
to layer different ones because it gives you more
variety in creating.  The little tag that I stamped on
is from Label's Eighteen S4-310 and a Penny Black stamp.

Thanks so very much for stopping in
to see what new things are being created
on my blog and don't forget about the
to start this Monday!!  There is lots of prizes
and everyone has been working hard to create
lots of amazing things to show you all so
don't forget to mark your calendars for the 30th!

Hugs,  Teresa

Pagemaps and a card

to use and just thought I would do a few things to catch
up on my own pictures and join in the sketch this month
on the Pagemaps Blog.  Becky has designed some awesome
little dies that you are going to love to get for all the
tiny little details on your pages and cards.
They are super cute and very fun to use!!

so....Here is her sketch this time

Here is my take using Authentique papers...

I used her Tags and Flags S5-095, Whimsy S4-361 and
her Tags and Labels S5-094 to make the tag, buttons,
scalloped borders and the cute little butterfly on the page.

I love, love, love to make my own flowers-- so for these I
layered the Spellbinders Blossom Two S4-232 in different
colors and prints and crunched them up a little. For
the centers I added paper buttons and a Basic Grey brad.
Normally i ink everything but I wanted to keep
this page clean and crisp and put the attention on the flowers
and the beautiful embossing on them.

The circle border at the top was made by cutting out
the circles on the paper and sliding them under the
sticker border from the paper line and then I added the leftover
piece of Becky's scalloped border die.  I liked that it
was embossed and gives the page a little more dimension.

and I always try to use the leftovers to make a card and
i was playing with one of my Edgeabilities Die Sets
Spellbinders Classic Decorative Inserts Two E8-010
and Spellbinders Classic Edges One E8-007 and when
I cut 2 pieces at one time in this thick paper the top cut and
embossed and the bottom only embossed.  Since the paper
is really thick-- I got this neat effect for the border.
I didn't put a sentiment on this yet because sometimes you want
a quick card and I can have this to save for my card box and
have it ready to give and put a sentiment in when I find
the perfect person to give it to!!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and stop
back in again, there is always something fun in the works!

Hugs,  Teresa

Trying new things..

Trying new things is good.  Stepping out of your comfort
zone and using something new can be both fun and
challenging at the same time.  It makes me think
outside of the box and maybe try new products in a
new and different way... So the rest of this year
I am going to try lots of new things and hopefully
i will have lots of fun ideas and new ways to do them
to share with all of you stopping by....

Today I am sharing a card I did with a new stamp
I got from the Stamp Simply Ribbon online store from
Just Rite Stamps. I always do these cute little characters
on my cards so I thought I would step out and give
these gorgeous victorian looking stamps a go...

So here is my card..

To start I used papers from MME and their Howdy Doody
6x6 paper pad that I just got.  For the sentiment I used
a Vintage oval labels stamp CL 02100
I stamped it with embossing ink
and then used seafoam white powder so that it would
match with the papers. (Note to self next time: use
a dust buddy to wipe off the card before so that the
powder doesn't stick everywhere I don't want it to)
Thankfully the bits weren't too much and the
intricate gorgeous design of the stamp stands out
so beautifully and really makes the card.

To create the bottom edges on my card
I used my Spellbinders
If you haven't gotten any of these edges you are in
for a real treat because they mix and match so well
and you can cut an entire edge of a card with them.
I love using them and I will have lots of ideas
on these coming up to share..

Thanks so much for stopping by
and hope you have a wonderful day!

New Sketchabilities Post up today

The Newest Sketch is up at Sketchabilites today (#69) and
I decided to do my page of my wonderful niece and her
trip to Greece this spring.  She got to go for a week
for college and really loved the whole experience
and loved the fabulous old ruins everywhere.

So being that I am putting together lots of pages
for her to remember the fun things she did at college
this is one more to add to her book.

So here is the sketch we got this week #69

and here is my take on it----

For my page I found this really neat old looking papers
in gray, greens and cream that went perfect with her photos
she sent me.  They were in Thessalonica and the picture
where she is looking up is her thinking about where
the crepe store is up the street.......she loves good food!!
and for a small town USA girl this was one amazing trip...

So this photo is a closeup of 2 dies I used from Spellbinders.
They are Twisted Metal Tags and Accents S5-071
and the border from Damask Accents S5-080
and I added purchased flowers and pearls to match it.
I left the tag blank so that my niece can fill in with
her words about some of their favorite things she did there.

My favorite thing about Karan's sketches is how much
fun it is to add details on your pages no matter what you
decide to use for that spot.  Each sketch she does
every 2 weeks has lots of detail and
is really fun to work on. She's amazing!
For the page I cut the flags like the sketch had them
and added these fun pieces from the die to make it look
more Roman/ Greek looking.  And adding the
embossing on the dies gives it that much more dimension.

Hope this gives you a few fun ideas and be sure and check
out all the other layouts on the blog this week and
you can even do your own sketch and win prizes!

Have a wonderful day,
Teresa

Cardabilites Card Challenge

Thankfully our house is back to normal this week
and everyone is well and I am getting lots of things
made but some I can share and some I can't yet...
but I am having lots of fun and my crafting mojo
is being good to me... so today I am
sharing a card I did for the Cardabilites post
this week.  My printer was acting up so I
created a card but the pages are going to go up pretty soon.

so here is the sketch for this week

and here is my take on it

To make this I used printed cardstock from
MME a Happy Heart 6x6 pad and changed
the backround by breaking it up into 3 pieces
instead of 2.  I used my Spellbinders Lacey Circles
for the 2 back circles and Lacey Ovals S4-314
for the Gracias sentiment.  I also created the flower
by die cutting and layering my
Spellbinders Carnation Creations (Donna Salazar)
with a brad from Basic Grey.  And last but not least
I tucked in a few whispy pieces of greenery from
the Foliage die S4-328.  The tiny check ribbon is
made by Creative Impressions.

Thanks so much for stopping in today
and hope I inspired you to create a few fun cards today!

Hugs,  Teresa

oooo la la it's going to be a fun party...

Today I finished up with some invitations I was doing
for a very special young lady I know that is having a
Sweet 16 birthday party coming up.

She is having a Paris themed party so I created these fun
little invites with the Eiffel Tower, flowers, bling,  & fuzzy yarns
and put them all on a slider made with 2 embossed Spellbinders dies.
I used Floral Doily Motifs S5-041--- it is one of my favorites!

They are going to put in the words for the invite on the
black and white card you see with the stamp at the top
and add a few more rhinestones around the Eiffel Tower
but they are ready to go for them (Yay!!) and I just thought
I would share a little something that has been keeping
me busy this weekend!

Have a great day and thanks
so much for stopping by,
Teresa :)

Keeping Busy...

It's been a busy week here at our house with 2 people
out with a nasty case of the flu and me with my back
out but as the week ends we are all almost back to normal
and I have a fun card to share with a Whipper Snapper stamp.

I used a little bit of MME paper and some from a
Teresa Collins mini book I just picked up so that
I could mix all the bright festive happy colors together!

I used Spellbinders Labels Twenty-five S5-077
for the sentiment and chalked around the inside to give
it a little more color.  And I just got Spellbinders new
Postage Stamps die S4-348 and played with
it for a piece behind the image.  I have a fun birthday
mini book in mind for this die too so I will post that
later this week.  Something that I don't often do
and really makes stamping fun is to double stamp
the image and then cut pieces out to pop up and
match with the papers in the card.  I stamped and
cut a piece for the balloon and for the dirt on this
card.  And lastly tied a huge red bow.  I love all
the little characters on their stamps and they always
make me happy to create with them!!

So that's all for today and hope all of you that
stop by for a peek have a wonderful Easter!

1st Official Day...

Today we got our official notice that we are starting
a brand New Year on the Spellbinders DT.  It is going
to be such a wonderful journey this year with them and
all the talented members of this team.. I am so happy!!!
I really love using their products and have even more things
to share and create with you now... Whoo hooo!!

So... I made a few new cards to share with a few stamps
I just got from Whipper Snapper.  I needed to get my
Easter cards done so the first one is made with a mixture
of bright spring colored papers from Bo Bunny,
Bella Blvd and Doodlebug.

I used Copic pens, chalk and colored pencils to shade
and color the little bunny and chicks.
My Spellbinders dies for this card were:
Edgeabilities Decorative Inserts E8-010 Insert C
Shapeabilities- Foliage S4-328 Tiny Leaf
Lacey Circles S4-293 #4

My next card I used an MME Honey Cake 6x6 pad
and layered lots of little pieces of the different prints
and stamped this cute little mushroom fairy
from Whipper Snapper stamps.
I colored her with Copics and colored pencils.
I used my Spellbinders Edgeabilities E8-010 to cut out
a design in the bottom edge band and also my
Blossoms Two S4-328 # 1, 2, 3 to create the flower
and added some leaves from Foliage S4-328.

My last card is from a paper pad I got from Glitz Design
and their stickers that go with it.

For this I created the medallion to put the sticker
on by layering 2 dies Picot Edge Circles S4-345 #2
and Foral Doily Motifs S5-041.  The border on
the side and the little piece on the top are also
made from the same die set.  I love the colors and the
prints in this set.  Pinks and browns always look so pretty
together.. especially with polka dots!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and seeing
what's new in my part of the world!

Lots of Hugs,  Teresa
