Cardabilities sketch #120 is up today

Today there is a brand new sketch up on Cardabilites and i think you are really
going to love the possibilities of this one.  We are partnering with Sami Stamps
digital designs this time so each of us picked a special digi stamp and used it on
our sketches.  Mine is in my favorite shade of pink and i used one
of the brand new Spellbinders dies to start the base for it.

So to start my card i use a piece of Pion paper in a pretty pink
rose pattern.  Then i cut the new Spellbinders Labels 47 in ivory.

On top of that i cut 2 layers of both ivory and Authentique Faith
Collection 6x6 pad to fill the square.  Then i cut 2 pieces of a fancy
Martha Stewart punch and used that as my left side border base.

The flowers that i printed i first colored with chalk in to match and
then i cut 2 centers from a SB die and added a gem.  I should have printed
them in a dark pink since i forget i have that option when you use digitals
but i will remember next time.  And to finish i stamped Thankyou from
an amazing stamp set from Stampendous and then I
added a pretty ivory seam binding bow from RRR Ribbons.com

Here is the sketch so that you can join us and play along too.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by :)

RRR Bright Spring Colors Challenge is up

Happy Spring to all of you that have tiny flowers popping up where you live!  It's
been a funny weather season for us here in California but my spring bulbs are just
beginning to pop up and I think i will have some beautiful blooms to see soon.

Our challenge over on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog this time is bright
spring colors and ribbons so i decided to make up a quick canvas with some
really pretty ribbons and papers that matched by Kaiser Kraft.

Sometimes you can find the perfect papers to create something and this one went
together in a snap just for that reason.  The papers had the words on it and lots of
fun layering already so i started with a black back round and then added bits of torn
and distressed paper to make the layers.  I also added my favorite Versa Mark
inks from Tsukineko called Sea Breeze and Midnight Black.  They went perfect.

This was my perfect chance to use some of my favorite ribbons from the RRR
May Arts collection in this gorgeous shade of pink melon.  It ties the most
beautiful bows and has the prettiest lines in it.  It's called Textured two tone rose
and actually comes in lots of other colors that you can see here.

All these fun banners came with the sticker sheet so i used them up on the top
and attached some RRR bakers twine on it with lots of loops across it.

And here is a closeup of the stenciled dots and glitter paste that
i used from Deco art and Fab Scraps.  I love to add those fun layers of
texture on my projects to make it more fun!

Thanks so much for stopping over and be sure and join us on the
challenge this month.  It's going to be lots of fun :)

1st Cardabilites post up for today

It's time again for another new amazing sketch up on the Cardabilites blog
today.  Our new sketch is a fun one and i used lots of my favorite dies
and some fun Bo Bunny papers that i had in my stash.  We have a
wonderful sponsor for our prize this month from The Stamping Boutique
so be sure and share your card with us on the Cardabilites blog and that
way you have chance to win and get lots of inspiration too!

For my card i used one of the gorgeous fairy stamps that they had and
copied it a few times on my paper that i printed out so that i could layer
it to give it more depth.  I colored it with copic markers and used
diamond stickles to make it sparkle on the wings and on the flower.

Here is a photo of the sketch.  I changed it just a little bit so
that i could make the most of the digital design that i had.

And here is a closeup of the dies that i used for it.  I used different
Spellbinders dies and layered each of them so that i would get pretty
layered patterns with each of the colors.  I love this because it's bright
and filled with lots of pretty springtime colors.  One of my favorite
new dies is called Diamondessence and another one called Interlocking love
that i used for the border in green-- is so versatile and pretty.

And here is another card that i did with the same sketch and lots of
pretty flowers in my stash.  The papers for this are from Pion in Sweden
and i just love them.  I wish they made fabric just like it so that i could
decorate my scrapbook room with it.  I just love the Shabby Chic
look of things.  One of my favorite is called Royal Circle and it's
layered with a Scalloped circle and the Pierced Circles dies.  I really
love this one.  So that's all for today but don't forget to join us and
link up with your favorite design using the sketch to play along.

Have a really wonderful day.... Teresa

RRR Blog Hop for March

Hi Everyone it's the middle of March already and were are geared up here
waiting for the flowers of spring to pop up everywhere with a fun blog
hop for you all.  I decided to create a pretty photo board with this piece of
wood that i got at my local scrapbook store and some flowers.  It's super
quick and easy and you can put any photos on it after the holiday too!

If you just started on the hop be sure and go back to the
RRR blog and start there otherwise you should be coming from

So my projects that i am sharing with the amazing Ribbon Club Assortment
this month and a few of my favorites are a Spring Photo stand and a pretty
decorative box to put out or give a little something special to someone in.
I found the photo stand at HL and painted it white first then sanded it and put
and then painted it again.  Then i found this pretty printed kraft paper and made
a pattern and cut it out.  Then i glued it on the front.  Then i added lots of flowers,
greenery and ribbons with a hot glue gun.  I used the turquoise, purple and
light blue ribbons in the set.  Oh and i tucked in a few WOC leaves to
fill in just a little bit more. It came out nice and bright and now i can add a fun
photo from Easter or something fun to remember and share for spring.

Here is a closeup of the flowers and ribbons that i put in it.

And because i hate storing scraps of paper i had a small chipboard
box so i just cut small squares to fit the sides and top and i also inked
around all the papers with gingerbread chalk in from Tsukineko.

And I used Cream Mesh Ribbon to tie the bow and then added
some Natural Burlap string and Arianna natural crochet lace around the
top.  And i had some pretty ivory flowers and tiny babies breath that i
tucked in under the flowers to finish it.

So off you go now to Jenn's blog to see what incredible
project she has to share with you this month....

Thank you so much for stopping over and hope that
everyone inspires you to create something fun to celebrate spring!

Believe in Miracles from Quietfire

Happy Wednesday everyone and hope that your week is going
really well so far.  Today i am sharing a quick card by Quietfire
Design stamps.  I love this set because there is always someone
that i can make this card for to let them know how special they are.

For this project i used the Believe in Miracles stamp set that you
can order online from Quietfire Designs.

And i also used the Basic Grey 6x6 Mon Ami paper set and the
stickers that go with it.  I love the colors in this one!  The Spellbinders
border die set is called Curved Borders 2 and it's a good one to get
if you don't already have it only because there is so much that you can
do with it.  Lots of ways to interchange the dies and i love that.  The ribbon
is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.com and comes in lots of yummy colors
if you are in need of something fun to use for your cards.

Sorry this is such a quick post--- its time to be off to work now but
as always there is lots of fun new things to share and the RRR
Blog hop is coming up this friday.

Have a wonderful day,  Teresa

Go Green Challenge with Craft Hoarders...

Today we have an awesome challenge up just in time to create for St. Patricks day
just around the corner.  I have 2 parts of me from that beautiful Celtic island
so i dug deep into my stash and found some of my favorite papers
that i put away from Best Creation.

To make my book i started with a chipboard staggered book that i had and covered
the front and back with the bordered paper so that it would all match.  I had
the perfect sentiment to stick on it so that part was really easy.  Then i tied some
glittery green tulle on the side and layered a flower that i had and a flower that i
made in plaid to match and glued that on the bottom left.

Here is a shot from the top so that you can see all the layers in the book.
It's a great way to show off all those pretty papers in a book that you have
hoarded away through the years.  I just chalked my edges to give it more color.

Here is the inside and i used die cuts from the paper collection that i cut
out and added flowers with just a bit of bling to go with the glittery embossing
on the papers.  This set really had great papers to work with and it was
really fast and easy to make it.  The other Celtic die cut that i used is
from Spellbinders and I have used it alot of different ways.

Here is another view just simple and i have some fun pictures to put in
it of my grandmother who was from Ireland and my husbands Grandfathers
side who were from Cork.  Someday i hope to get there and will have more
photos to add to it I hope.  Ireland is such a beautiful place and i can't wait to go.

And lastly here is another page that i did.  I really took advantage of the borders
and pretty details on my paper and used the letters and tags just as accents.

And that's all from this little irish/german girl today and don't forget to make
something amazing and share it with us on the Craft Hoarders Blog too. And
be sure and check out all the other projects from all the girls on the team!!

Irish Blessings to you all and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Card Club and Easel cards

It's been a really busy week for me so i have been MIA in the creative area because
of my new job at Disneyland and Card Club this last weekend.  But i can finally catch
up with everything and do a quick post about my class. Our theme this month was
easel cards and it was alot of fun.  I taught 6 quick cards in class using the brand new
spring release stamps from Stampendous.  They are gorgeous flower filled beauties
and the quality is just amazing.  All the girls had fun and they were all done in the 3
hours that we had to do them.  Not much time but we always like to color :)

This stamp is called Bowl Bouquet and it's just gorgeous.  Lots of pretty
flowers to color and the water was really fun to add their new glitters
to it to make it shiny.  The Spellbinders die set is called Labels 28, on of my favs.

I love going to tea so this is one of my favorite stamps
in the set.  It's called Teapot Posies and it too if filled
with gorgeous roses.  The die i used for this one is called
Fleur de Elegance and it's a really pretty die with some
amazing embossing in it.  You can't see it but its really neat.

This was another of my favorite stamps and this one
is called Blossom Spray stamp and it has these gorgeous
little delicate flowers that you can stamp and cut out
or just add to your favorite die.  This one we used a simple
Spellbinders scalloped circle and the regular die to go with it.
It's a super simple shaped card and i love the colors for it.

Here is all 6 of the easel cards that we did to share with you.
Next month we are working on some fun watercolor flower
cards with another new release so it should be fun too.

The stamps that i used for this are:

Thanks so much for stopping over and I am back in my workroom
today to create so i should have lots more on my blog soon....

Have a wonderful day....Teresa
