Gift Boxes for Christmas

Today i am sharing a pretty Christmas gift box that i covered made with dies from Becca Feeken's new die set called "Chantilly Paper Lace".  I love to get the most from my dies so today i combined one from the last release and 2 from this new release called Bella Rose Lattice Layering Frame and the Annabelle's Trousseau Layering Frame.  All of them are amazing together but i really had fun creating this sweet box with some of my favorite papers from Maja Designs.

So to make this you will need the Hemstitch Rectangle for the base in blue.  Then cut just the center of the Bella Rose Lattice die for the lighter snowflake layer.  And on top of that i put just that little edging from the Annabelle's Trousseau layering frame.  These gave the layers a lovely contrast and really made the last center stamped piece stand out.  And since i wanted it to be more Christmas themed I added tiny poinsettia's that i die cut in matching paper and inked around the edges.  And of course lots of pretty rhinestones to make it pretty and magical like the season.

The gorgeous stamp is from a new set of Penny Black christmas stamps and was just perfect to match with the delicate snowflakes in the papers.  I just love when things go together so pretty!!  Can't wait to give this one away to someone special.....

Have a very wonderful and crafty day!

Decorative Vase to share with you...

It's monday and time for another share of one of Stacy's new dies.  She has some brand new
band type dies that you can use for all kinds of projects and this one i really loved and made
a band that ties on the sides around a vase that i picked up at IKEA.

This die is called "Art Deco Arched Diamond" and has really gorgeous details in it.  I inked
the die with embossing ink while the paper was in the die and then added that pretty red
glitter embossing powder to it.  Then i took away the die and embossed it and this is how
it came out.  I made two of them and tied both sides with ribbon to attach it to the glass.

These would be so gorgeous on a table centerpiece for a wedding or even for
a special party that you are throwing.  It's really, really gorgeous and very easy to do.

So thanks again for stopping and i have more to share this week so hope you
can stop over again... Love, love, love these new dies!!

Spellbinders Favorites to share

Recently we were given the go ahead from Spellbinders to share a few of the things that we did for them.  And after 4 years of amazing craftiness i have lots of favorites to put up to share.  Every Tuesday i will share a few things and the dies i used to create them.  Stacey was such an incredible person to be able to work for and i was lucky enough to be picked by them so i think this will be fun.

Some of my most favorite dies in the world are designed by Becca Feeken.  She has an incredible way of designing and creating beautiful things with her dies so it's a little stressful when i set out to make something with them but i think i did ok with this set.  This one is on the website right now I think and since we were always challenged to think outside the box i went for a vellum lantern for this one.

I love the intricate embossing and to make the debossing on the pattern stand out i added a bit of ink to that part of the die while it was still in it.  The corners for this one are the leftover pieces from the inside center of the die.  I cut them in half and then again.  Then i scored them and folded them to reinforce the edges and to glue on the side pieces.  The bottom is another die that i chose because the edges just went perfectly with all of it.  And it looks so pretty with an electric candle inside.

For my frame i used the same die and inking on it but added the center piece with a beautiful sentiment.  I can't say enough about her dies and how gorgeous they can make something look.  Simple paper becomes something amazing just by cutting it with one of her dies.

And lastly this one is a bridal shower card.  I layered the dies in subtle colors of aqua and added some pretty ribbon to match and also a few clear rhinestones.  I really, really love the way this one came out.  And it was fun to make so that makes it even better.

To see more of Becca's dies you can visit here on the SB website.

Thanks for stopping over and be sure and check back again next Tuesday!!
