A wedding gift for you

Today i have a fun post to share that i just did using some of my favorite dies from Becca Feeken and Spellbinders.  This month our team is sharing lots of ideas using border and corners so i thought i would try and use the pieces as ornamental designs using the same color paper to make a box and a card to give for a wedding gift.  This is alot like my recipe box i did but i tried to use as much white as i could and then just add bit of pink for the flower and ribbons to give it just a hint of color.

The card was really fun and easy to make.  I started with the center die and put the corners around it to get my size for the card middle.  Then i cut out the center die like you see above to layer with.  The beautiful corners i cut out of white paper to match and glued them on all four sides around the center die cut.  I think it really shows them off and adding 3D foam dots between the layers makes the center die really stand out with the white.  That cute little "For You tag" is from the Tiny Tags and sentiment set and i stamped it with vintage sepia Versafine ink to make it crisp and nice.

And my wedding gift card box was really easy and fun to make.  I used both sets of the corners on the top and the sides because of the sizes on the top and sides of the box are different.  Both are a perfect match and i added the same circle die from Marcheline Plume as the card and then leaves and that tiny heart swirl on the front from the corners.  Oh how i love to mix and match all my beautiful dies from Becca!! It's amazing how all of them work so wonderfully together.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop over today...
and don't be shy i would love to hear from you and where you craft in our amazing world!

Lacy in Pink

Sometimes you find a very special die that you really love because everything seems to work great in it.  This new die called "Isabella Frame" from Becca Feeken is one of those gorgeous dies you can use so many ways and this lovely sentiment from Quietfire Design works great inside of it don't you think.  The stamp is called "Where flowers bloom" and I adore this stamp because it so says alot about me personally and i am forever doing something and never standing still so I just had to use it.

I was rummaging around and cleaning up my scrap room and came across these gorgeous vintage papers that i had put away.  The paper colors layered really well over each other and the stamp i did in a rich cocoa to give it a nice vintage feel.

To finish my card i just added a few pretty flowers on the side and tied a cute bow with seam binding ribbon.  And wha la!!  It's all done and ready to mail.

And that's all for today but i have lots of things to share so be sure and check back soon.

Big Hugs...Teresa

Good luck everyone and enjoy all the cards.  And if you are hopping in the right order you should have stopped over by way of the wonderful and very talented Clare Prezzia .....

I am really happy with my card and it was so fun to make.  My beginnings for it were from the new "Quietfire Design" stamp set called "A Rustle in the Wind".  This set contains 2 sentiment stamps and 2 cute add on designs that will really spark your creativity.  I chose to use the "See the Magic" one since i worked at Disneyland.  My papers are simple ivory, pink and green card stock that went with a piece of my favorite paper from Basic Grey.  I had lots of flowers in my stash too so I added them on both of the sides so that brought out all the colors in the paper and really framed the sentiment nicely.

The dies i used for the border under the sentiment are from Spellbinders and Becca Feeken .  She has some brand new border dies so i created a fun design with the Graceful Scallops set on the base of the card in ivory and just added a simple oval over it.  It makes it pretty and feminine and the little touches of Diamond Stickles give it that little bit of magical sparkle that i wanted.  This would be a great sentiment for a family Disney page too.

I also had time to do a second card with a brand new die from the release and another new stamp set.

For this card i used one of the new dies in the Elizabeth Craft Collection called "Flourished Frame"     and a new stamp also by Suzanne Cannon and Elizabeth Craft called "A bit of Fragrance".  These new stamps are clear and you get alot of them in each set so this is really fun and exciting for Quietfire.  And they work amazing too.  Super clear stamping and easy to add to all of your projects.

To make my card i used some Ruby Rock-it papers that i had in my stash to create a pretty colored base and then cut the printed aqua paper with the border die.  I glued all that down and then stamped my sentiment in black versafine ink by Tsukineko.  It comes in lots of colors so it's always a good staple to have on hand to stamp with.   Then i just added a beautiful flower garden to go under my stamp to finish it up.  Oh and the Butterfly die is also a new set that you can find here.  My mom loved butterflies and flowers so this one is dedicated to her !!

Here is a closeup of the stamp and the flowers just so that you can see it better.

So i guess it's time to hop on over to the next artist Yogi Grunwald

Have an Awesome Day

It's been a busy month and a really fun catching up with life and getting my craft on.  Today i have a card to share that i did for a co worker at the castle. It's a little fun and whimsical but those are the best kinds of projects to create because they make you laugh and have fun!

I created my card with another one of Becca's amazing border dies called "Graceful Sweet Words".  It's a gorgeous die set and i really loved this loopy kind of border that came in the set so i cut/embossed two pieces in black to go on either side of the Queen of Hearts tag and added sweet rhinestones to it to bling it out a little.  The rest of the colors i coordinated with the queen image so it all fell into place and it was really fun to do.

The stamp is from a brand new release of dies from Quietfire Designs and they are clear stamps and work amazing.  You are going to really love these little gems.

Thank you so much for stopping in this week and i hope to have lots of new things to share soon.

Have a really wonderful day... Teresa

So very Thankful for you

Hi everyone and thanks so much for dropping by today.  I have a another sweet card to share that i made for a friend in fall colors from the New Echo park Fall Reflections line.  It was perfect to add the gorgeous borders from Becca Feekens Graceful Fans die set and also the Graceful Brackets die.

I wanted to give my friend something pretty that she could put on her desk so i created a simple easel card and did simple layering on it.  For the borders i used one in dark brown to give it a nice lacey look across the bottom and then the smaller edge border i put all around the sentiment.  It really gave it the pop i was looking for and it was nice to be able to cut the lacy pieces in the paper i needed to.

Here you can see how pretty the designs in the border is.  I love the fans and the other border in the set is even cuter so you have double the creativity if you use both of them.

Be sure and check out all the other girls this week on their blogs for more ideas using the border dies this month.  We have lots of ideas to spark your creativity!!

Hugs and Smiles... Teresa

Border die ideas to share

Hi and welcome to my blog today.  All this month the APG team will be sharing fun ideas to use Becca Feeken's border dies from Spellbinders.  Today i have a quick and easy card to share using Graceful brackets and the Beautiful Dreamer die set.

Border dies are really fun and there are so many things you can do with them so first i wanted to pass on the idea that you can just simply die cut and emboss them into a piece of paper to make cut outs so to speak.  To make this one emboss cut out your piece of paper that you need and die cut and emboss only 1/2 of it at a time when you run it through your machine.  That way each side will emboss.  Then you can layer it over another piece of paper to make it pop and add other dies if you want over the borders cutouts.  Mine is very vintage today with the papers i used from Prima.

And then i layered on the Beautiful Dreamer die with 3D Foam dots and added a few pearls and ribbons.  The stamped piece is done on the same paper and just trimmed on the edge and chalked.  This way I could keep all those curly script lines from the stamp on it.  Don't ever be afraid to try something new, you never know what amazing projects you will come up with!!

Thanks so much for stopping over this week.
