There is always time for a Thank you....

Hi friends and thank you for stopping over today.  I have a really pretty lacy card to share that i made using a few of my new favorite dies from Becca Feeken.  They are the Braided Grace Squares, Francesca Label and the Isadora Trinkets die sets.  I tried a new grouping with all of these from the Venise Lace set and i think it went together very well.

I used Bazzill Basics papers that had some texture to them to add more depth to the dies and then layered them to make the lace in the dies really stand out.  A fun thing about Becca's dies is that they usually always have a place to thread your ribbons so i took advantage of it and added a piece of white bias ribbon and then added a pretty bow to the left of my card.

Here is a quick close up of the pretty lace in the dies... It's really gorgeous.

Venise Lace Friendship Card

Hi everyone and i hope that you had a fun and eventful weekend.  Summer is my favorite time to catch up with things since the days are so long and it's the perfect time to catch up with friends to send them a pretty card to say hi too.

I just splurged on some new papers from Prima this week and got inspired to layer a few of the new Venise Lace dies by Becca Feeken to create this friendship card.  I used one of my favorite dies from Quietfire Design for the center and added just a bit of ribbon and lace to compliment the papers.

For my card i used the Hemstitch Rectangles, the Gossamer Knot Ensemble set, the Francesca Label and the leaves from the Cinch and Go Flower 2 set.   It's fun to mix and match your dies and amazing designers like Becca Feeken plan exactly that so you can get lots of wear and tear on your dies.  

The stamp that i used from Quietfire Design is called "Friends are those Rare people" and 

it really fit nice inside of the Francesca label.  I inked it in black Versafine ink for a nice crisp image and then embossed it with clear to seal it and brighten the ink.

Good morning and thank you for stopping by to see what's new here on my blog.  Today i have a new share using one of my favorite dies from the Venice Lace collection by Becca Feeken.  It's called Marcheline Plume and with a name like that it has to be gorgeous i think.

I love texture on cards so for this intricate die i used an embossed base in white to really make it stand out more.  And for the center i added a few pop dots to the center to give it more depth and added a brad in the middle from my stash of things.  

And i also kept the bow real simple.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has skads of colors in the bias tape ribbon so i always order lots to keep on hand and it's great in white so that you can die it with Tim Holtz inks to match other projects.  And pearls too.  You can never have enough.

Just a few new cards to share

     I am so very happy that you stopped by today to see what is new with Becca's new "Venise Lace" collection.  Today i have a few new projects to share with you all that i made up real quick and i hope that you will love them as much as i do.

This little gem is one of my favorite dies in the set.  It is called Venise Lace Isabella Frame and i just adore all the lacy details in it and there is so much that you can do with it to make lots of fun projects.  I chose a simple pink and cream palette and used bits of flowers that i had in my stash to add just a bit more color.  I also added just a few tiny pearls to make the designs pop out more.

And for this fun card i used the "Hemstitch Rectangles and the Isadora Trinkets set.  I found a really pretty sentiment by Penny Black and i wanted to really make it pop so i created a frame with the rectangle dies and also die cut and stamped the muted print paper and then mated it with white.

Just to add a little bit of a lacy look i cut/embossed the Isadora trinket die you see above from the set and attached it to the bottom of the sentiment and added a pretty bow and rhinestone.  It's very simple and easy to make and would be wonderful to make up a set of with different papers and sentiments and give it as a gift in a set.  Guess it's always good to think ahead for Christmas and birthdays.

Amazing Paper Grace Blog Hop with Borders

Good morning and thanks for joining us!  We have a blog hop going on today and the entire Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team spent the week creating with the Graceful Borders collection.  Lots of us spun it into a mitered frame or mitered frame backgrounds for use on a card and a couple of us had other creative thoughts to use it.  These beautiful little borders are designed to use with a new product called the Graceful Frame maker.  It's super easy to use and just in case you haven't seen how to use The Graceful Frame Maker with the border dies you can see a step by step tutorial ----- HERE and a video --- HERE.  

And me-- well i went in a totally different direction with my borders.  I used to do alot of wedding cakes back in the day and my border die set "Graceful Scallops"  just screamed at me to make a mini wedding cake box.  I cut them into the paper, embossed them and also used all those cute little borders like piped wedding icing to decorate my cake.  It was so fun and you can take off the top layer and put in a gift card or some cash for the new bride and groom.  And of course you can make a matching card to got with it.

To make this project easier i used small chipboard circle boxes and cover them with mixed media paper.  This has a really nice weight and the die pieces really embossed well with it.  For each layer of my mini cake i added little details into the paper with the dies.  The sizes were perfect to use for those little bits of detail and would be so amazing to use with the frame maker die.  For the top i created some flowers using white paper, chalk ink and the "Cinch and Go 2 Flower Die set"  I just gently folded them and added the leaves and flowers between them to make a pretty arrangement on the cake.

Have a beautiful birthday

Today i have a really pretty card that i made this weekend with one of my favorite new dies from the new "Venise Lace" collection called Emmeline Treillage from Becca Feeken and Spellbinders.  All of them are amazing but i really love this one because of the pretty lacy flowers on it and how delicate and pretty it cuts out.

I think my favorite part of this card is the colors.  I love beach glass and i started with the top color and then just started cutting and layering.  After i got the base of the card done i die cut one of the new Venise Lace Francesca Labels in the same light aqua and stamped a Hero Arts sentiment on it in black Versafine.  Then i added a pretty ribbon and attached all of it with 3D Foam squares.  And to add just a bit more flowery goodness i used Becca's new Cinch and Go flowers 2 die set to create that flower that you see below.  It was super easy to make and of course it matches great because i made it.  How fun its that and you can make lots more if you need them.....  

Here is a closeup of the pretty details in the flower die.  You get 4 sizes and leaves but i only used the smallest 2 sizes and cut 2 of each and then bent the petals.  It went together really quick.  Oh and i also used a pearl pen to make all those pearls.  It's alot easier and you don't have to go out and shop for more pearls if you are running low.  And you can create whatever size looks good.
