Cardabilities #100 is up today...

Today is our 100th sketch on Cardabilities and how exciting is that!!
We are sharing cards that we created using digital images
from Pickled Potpourri designs and i chose the beehive to use.

The new sketch is below and has lots and lots of possibilites
that you can see from all the ideas that we have to share on
our Cardabilites blog.  I used some really cute papers that
i had from Carte Bella and also a few of my favorite Spellbinders
dies for the top and for the doily under the beehive.

I used Copic pens to color my image and added tiny flowers
and borders that i cut with punches that i had in my stash.
The twine is from Really Reasonable Ribbon who by the
way has amazing ribbons for sale and the brads are by
Basic Grey.  This was really fun to create and i loved adding
all the bits and pieces to the digital image to create a scene.

Thanks for stopping over and be sure and create something
and add it to our blog so we can see what you do too!!

Dragonflies and Roses...

There is lots of new things in the Butterbee Scrap shop and
this beautiful dragonfly really caught my eye and i found a
fun and easy way to decorate it with glitter and other fun things
that i had in my crafty room.

For my necklace i used one of the brand new Bronze Dragonfly charms and
some glitter glue and sprinkled the colors one at a time into the channels and then
let it dry.  To seal it i put a thin layer of glossy accents and let
that dry too.  It was really easy and it went super fast.
For it's head i added a few rhinestones and a turquoise
rhinestone to match the glitter.  And finally for the necklace i added tiny flower
shaped filigree pieces and rhinestones and attached them with
matching jump rings to the chain.  The beautiful toggle clasp is also something
that you can get in the shop and makes it easy to put on.

Here is what i used to decorate my Dragonfly.

My next project was the easiest card i think i ever did.
I used one of the metal roses and put a layer of pink stickles
over all of it and added some more glitter on top of that and let it
dry.  Then i added a tiny pink stone in the center of it.  To
make the card just cut strips of coordinating papers and glued them and then
added ribbons and a bow.  Tuck the bronze metal leaves under
the bow and then add the pretty pink flower to finish it.

The stamp is from one of my favorites from Quietfire Design
and they have lots of beautiful hand done calligraphy stamps
for lots of occasions.  And it's perfect on my card too.

Thanks for stopping by....

Card Club for May

It's been a while since i have posted anything for Card Club
at Scrap N Yap so i thought today i would do a quick
post to share with some of the things we did with
Stampendous stamps and the fun glitters and embossing
powders that they have.  It was really fun and they
were so quiet and working it was almost scary.... but we
all laughed alot and shared our stories to catch up
with life so another great class went down in the books.

Lots of lace and butterflies so it was great!
Thanks Stampendous and Fran for creating
all these fun things to work with :)

I loved the simpleness of this one... oh and the colors too!

I am a glitzy, melty, glittery kind of girl so
this was really fun to do.  I use 4 of the embossing
powders and glitters and some of the mica flakes
to do the front. It was really fun.....

Hope the weekend was great for you all and
I have lots of crafty things to share this week
so be sure and check back soon :)

Happy Birthday with Quietfire Design

Today i have another card to share with all of you with
the new Cling sets from Quietfire Design.  This is a birthday
set called Happy Birthday Plain and Simple and it's filled with
different designs to use for all those birthday
cards that you make and send out each month.

I kind of have clocks on a lot of my projects this
week and i am not sure why but it seems i bought
lots of things with them on or in it.. crazy how that
works out sometimes right? I really loved the colors
and the patterns in this paper and the stamp that
i picked from the set really went well.  I hand cut
the clocks from the papers and added a bit of
twine and a few flowers from my stash. Oh and
the black rhinestones are from Want2Scrap...

Thanks for stopping and don't forget to leave
a message and say hi.... I always love to hear from you :)

Steampunk inspired necklace and card

It's Wednesday and time for another share using
some of the amazing things from the Butterbee store!!
This week i ordered some fun clock pieces and gears
and i had lots of fun making a card and a cute necklace
with the gears and a heart clock charm.

All those beautiful clock charms that you see are
called Creative Clocks and they go perfect with
these papers from Graphic 45.  The black bias
ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the
die under the clock is called Stately Circles and
it's from Spellbinders of course :)

The necklace was super easy to make and all i
did was attach all the gears that you got in the set
with assorted jump rings that i had and attached
a bit of chain and a clasp for the back of it.  I think
that if you want to fancy it up a bit you might add
some crystals or beads to the front but i thought
it looked good just the way it was.. Who knows i
might change my mind.  Here is list of all the things
that i used from the Butterbee shop for it...

Gears, Creative Clocks, Copper Jump Rings and
a matching lobster claw for the back. There is also
these antique brass toggles that you can order if
the shop is out of the other...

Thanks for stopping by... classes coming up this
weekend at Scrap N Yap so i have lots of cutting
to do.. have a wonderful day :)

Today i have a quick post to share for all of you about the
new Cling stamps from Quietfire Design.  Yep that's right
i did say Cling and wow they are new and they work amazing!!

I used the Believe in Yourself stamp and I thought it would
be great for a graduation too to give a special someone.  I used
a new paper pad by Bazzill Basics, Dies from Spellbinders and
ribbons and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbons.

The ink is from Tsukineko Versacolor in pink and i embossed
it with clear to make it really stand out.  I really love this stamp
the other stamps in the set in the photo below.

Thanks so much for stopping over and don't forget
to check out all the other ideas on the blog for
more inspiration with the new cling stamps :)

Something new from Butterbee Scraps

Butterbee Scraps Zibbet Online store is getting lots of
new things in these days and i jumped at the chance to get
a few of them and one of my favorites is this new
Bronze Tibetan piece and the tag charms that are hanging from it.

A long time ago in my Costume history class my professor brought
in a beautiful Egyptian necklace that was so ornate and so beautifully
made it was something i have never forgot.  These pieces inspired
me to make something similar and i think it would look great with
a white jacket and matching cami for summer don't you think?

Here is a closeup of the details in the necklace... I used these
things from the Butterbee shop.

and a set of bronze closures for the back.

and always you will need your best jewelry tools and a few rhinestones
to glue into the front of the piece.  It was pretty quick and easy and i think
I will have to put together a bracelet to match maybe.

Thanks for stopping over today and have a great weekend!

Fill it up Friday

Today I am sharing something fun with a new
stamp from Quietfire Design that you can use
all your doodling skills to finish, emboss it or anything
else you can think of to fill it in with.

and each of us did a different version that
you can see on the blog if you click here...

I opted to do mine in a old fashioned medieval way after reading
a book filled with stories of vintage things in Venice this week.

To make my card-- layer pieces of papers that you have
distressed and inked around the edges to make the base.
For the front i used a new CWStencil and did that on the
top with antique linen distress ink.  Then i stamped the
Thanks image with Grey Flannel Momento ink and embossed
it all with clear embossing powder.  To make it sparkle a little
I sprinkled a little vintage gold embossing powder on the top
and heated it from the back.

To fill in my T i created a cute little doodle pattern and
colored it in with distress inks in blues and pinks.
And finally i tied the front with some vintage twine and
made a cute little bow on the side.

Be sure and hop on over to the Quietfire blog and see
all the other creations the rest of them team did.

New Cardabilities sketch is up today...

Today there is a new sketch up on Cardabilites and it
is super cute.  Since it is finally springtime everywhere
I decided to use some really pretty papers from Doodlebug
that i just got.  Our sketch this time called for creating a
border across the card and adding some flowers and
a sentiment across the front which was super easy to do.

I layered the back with a few of the pretty prints in the
pack and then created a border using Spellbinders A2 Scalloped
Borders 1 die set.  The flowers are from my stash and this
was a great color scheme to pull out some of those
leftover flowers that I had laying around my scraproom.

Here is the sketch so that you can play along this time
and be sure and check out all the other girls cards
on Cardabilities for some great inspiration!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop over and
see what's new and i hope you have fun with
the new sketch this time :)

Hugs and Smiles.....

Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

Welcome to our RRR Blog hop for May!  Today
all of us will be sharing projects that we made using
our new monthly Ribbon Club Ribbons with a
Patriotic Theme.  This is just in time to get ready for
the 4th or just to decorate for summer and all the fun
barbecues that we are all going to have!

If you have started from the beginning you should
have arrived here from Jessies' blog.....and if not i posted
the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog so you can start there.

So then lets get started with my projects....

This was such a fun project to do. The ribbons in this set have
so many cute patterns and textures i really couldn't decide what
to use so i had to make things using all of them.  So for my
first project i thought i would make a card to send out to a friend
and I thought since i love to bake I would make a matching basket
to go with it and fill with some yummy homemade cookies.
The papers I used are from Canvas Corp and i think they match
really good with the kraft paper backrounds.

There are 9 different ribbons in the set and i think they are just
so pretty and the textures are just amazing.
you can order it here in the states or out of the country too!

Here is a close up of the gorgeous red satin ribbon that i used
to embellish the side of the card that i created and the twine that
i used both at the top and the bottom of my card to add just the
right amount of texture to it. The anchor die
and copper metal for it are from Spellbinders.

I also couldn't resist to make up a cute banner too and i can put it
up to celebrate for the 4th.  I cut 11 squares and flagged them and
added a mat to the back.  The letters i cut on my Cricut and I tied
them all together with lots and lots of ribbons from the set.
I really love how this one came out and can't wait to put it up!
I think i might even add more ribbons just because they are so pretty.

So that's all from me and next you will be headed over to
Cherry's blog to see what amazing things she has to share...

Have a really great day :)

Dare to be you ...

I am a huge fan of Teresa Collins, she is just the
most amazing person and i really admire her and what
she stands for....so today i am going to share a card
i made with one of her collections with the prettiest
flowers and colors in it.  Yep it's my favorite one!
Sometimes the papers prints and colors just call out to you...

I only used the papers and a few of the embellishments
that go with it to make it and I used one of my
stamps from Verve that i got recently.  And that's it.
It went together really quick and easy.

Hope you all have a good week!

Bright Spring RRR Color Challenge

Today my first project is going up on the Really Reasonable Ribbon
Challenge and i have some really cute things to share but i also
had another card that fit perfect with the color scheme
that we used so i thought i would go ahead and share it too.

I mixed some of my favorite New dies from Spellbinders
along with some of my favorite flowers and ribbon from RRR
and used lots of pinks and white to go with it.

The stamp is from Justrite Papercraft and i used
a bright pink Momento Ink and embossed it to go with
the flowers in the card.  I love making things with pinks
and aqua's so this was really fun to do :)  Be sure
and stop over on the RRR blog and see the other gorgeous
things that all of us made for inspiration .

Have a really wonderful day and thanks for
stopping over to see what's new with me :)
