Vintage Cards 2

Happy Thursday everyone!  Here is the other 3 cards
that i am doing for my class tonight.  I try and chose
lots of different colors so that we have fun using lots
of brands and styles each time.  I think my favorite paper
to use was the middle card which is from Authentique.
The papers are so high quality and have such cute tiny patterns
for card making.  And--- there is lots of stickers you can
use too.  It's all so much fun and creating with my
Spellbinders dies makes them come out that much better!

On this card I use 3 different dies and layered them
and I think it works because the colors are super
subdued. The dies are Parisian Motifs, Scalloped Squares,
and Fleur de lis Squares... I stamped with coffee Archival
ink for the Happy anniversary and added a flower and ribbon
edged in gold to antique it up a bit. I used thin foam
squares from Scrapbook Adhesives on all the cards
between the layers to pop it out and give it more depth.

I love the idea for this card and don't ever
borrow from others but I had to redo this and
show the girls in the class how fun it is to
use flags on a card.  It's super easy and I just
added some layered Spellbinders tags and a ribbon.

Last card today is using some of the new Bo Bunny
Tea papers.  I love, love, love roses and the pretty
pinks and peaches of this card are just gorgeous.
For this I layered the papers and added a ribbon and
made a medallion with 3 dies and stamped in the center
of the top one.  The ribbons are some of my favorite
from Creative Impressions and I think I bought every
color they had just to have it on hand :)  Crazy me!!

So....That's all for today to share.  I hope you
liked them and I always love comments...
it keeps the inspiration coming to make new things.

Thanks so much for dropping by,
Teresa

Vintage Card Class

Today I just wanted to share a few of the cards I am
doing for a Vintage Card Class this week.  I am doing
5 in all and they have lots of flowers and Spellbinders
on them and they were really fun to make.

The backround for this card is the new
Spellbinders Labels Twenty eight.  I think it's going to
be one of my favorite shapes to use too.  It's
very versatile and great for mixing with other dies
and for stamping on because of the sizes you get.

I used the New line from G45 for these 2 and
Bo Bunny and Authentique for the others that
I will share tomorrow. One of the papers has cute
die cuts of very old fashioned ladies and would
make up the cutest cards!  So I better go and finish
my class prep now and thanks so much for stopping
to visit and get inspired!  Have a wonderful day,
Teresa

LOTV friday

It's friday everyone and hope you all are doing
something fun for the weekend!  I have one more card
to share from my new stamps I got from LOTV. I still
have more to stamp but at least I have a few to give
away now for upcoming birthdays and such :)

I brought out one of my favorite dies today from
Spellbinders, Lacey Circles.  The stamp
has a circle on it so I thought this would be perfect
to frame it.  The package on the stamp is a bit big so I
cut around it and put the die underneath to cut and emboss it.
I colored this card with chalks too and added a little
bit of colored pencils.  And for my bow I got a big
piece of the Twinery's twine in brown and made a
big loopy bow to finish it.  Oh and I forgot to say
that I distressed up the edges and chalked them with
Colorbox chalk in Chestnut roan... my favorite!
This cute little stamp is from their new release and
the wheelbarrow full of gifts is just so cute!

That's it for today.. I've got to get back to cleaning
up my scraproom but I hope you liked the cards
this week and maybe picked up a few ideas
and be sure and stop back for some fun
things with the new dies from CHA!

Have a very happy weekend....
and I always love comments to hear
how I am doing with my creations :)

LOTV day 4

I can't believe it's Thursday already... I am redesigning my
scraproom and there is lots to do and things to clean up
so I guess the days go fast when you are busy.  But it's
going to be worth it and I think it is going to be really pretty
when I am all done with cleaning.  I even ordered some pretty pink
rose fabric to make some pillows and cushions... Can't wait to be done!

So this is my 4th card this week and for this card I used the same
die in different sizes and prints, layered it and changed the positions.
I found some Prima paper with sunflowers to go with the stamp
and used my Leafy Squares die from Spellbinders.  The stamp
today is called "Blooming Lovely" and is just so cute!
And instead of using Copics I got out my favorite chalks and
colored pencils and blended them all together.  I really love
chalks because they cover a big area and blend really smoothly.
To finish the card I added a bit of vintage lace and a bias bow
and that is all.  I couldn't quite figure out where to put
the sentiment so I just put it on a tag with a bit of
colored paper behind it on the inside of the card.
It says "Have a blooming great day!"

So one more card and one more day and then
lots of fun starting with CHA....

LOTV Day 3

Here it is day 3 of using my adorable new stamps
and today I have a cute little ballerina stamp
called "Wish upon a star" that I used to make a fun
birthday card to send to my daughters friend this week.

So everyday I am trying to think outside
the box and maybe use something a different way-
so for this card I stamped and embossed the image
and cut and embossed her out with a flower die from
Spellbinders called Blossom Four.  And they also have some
brand new dies for cardmaking that I used to create
the 3 rectangles in the back round.  They are Matting Basics
and you will be able to get them in stores really soon!!
All of them are going to be so amazing to use
so be sure and check your LSS or online to get them.

but enough with my commercial and back to the card right?....
I colored her with both Copics and colored pencils
and used some chunky glitter to add onto her wand!
The sentiment is stamped onto the tiniest piece of the
Splendid Circles die S4-354. It's a great die to use for
almost anything and has great details on it. The papers
I used are from MME and I used May Arts ribbon.

Hope you like this one and I still have 2 more to
share so see you back tomorrow and thanks
so much for stopping in to get inspired!

LOTV Day 2

It was so much fun making cards with all my new stamps
from LOTV and today I have a card to share with
one of my favorite New releases from Spellbinders too.
On our hop we previewed the new Grand Deco Ovals
and I love using them!  You can use these amazing oval shapes
for so many different things like cards, pages, mini books,
mixed media projects and so many more things too.

My favorite part of this die is the intricate designs on the edges
and I made a shaped card today by cutting it on the top edge
with a folded piece of paper. Then I covered it with another
cut and embossed piece of pink. With the next smaller size die
I cut 2 pieces and layered on and then stamped on the other.
I stamped on the print to see if I could make a scene with it
and I think it worked well.  I colored her with Copic pens
and added a little bit of shimmer with diamond stickles.
The sentiment is done on tiny Labels 20 die and I finished
it with a bias tape bow and a lovely little white rose.
The papers I used are from Prima.

These are the new dies... don't you just love them?
Next week is CHA so you will see lots of new things
and be sure and check out our blog for updates too!

Have a great day and see you tomorrow,

1st day of Lotv week

This week I want to do something fun with the
Lily of the Valley stamps that I just got so I had an idea
to make some fun cards each day and share... and of
course using lots of Spellbinders dies with them.....LOTV has
some of my favorite stamps to use and nothing beats the sweet
and adorable little figures and animals that they create!!
...So today I am sharing a card that i did using
 Milly Flower Power.

I love sunflowers so I picked these papers from  MME
"So Sophie" to use with yellows and purples.  I used Copics
to color her and added a little glossy accents in the center
of the flower to make it glisten. And-- for the flower
I stamped a coordinating piece of yellow paper and
cut around the flower and popped it up with foam dots.
This takes time but is a really fun way to add extra prints to
your stamping and a little less coloring.
For the sentiment I am trying to
get in the habit to use the tiny Spellbinders dies.  They
have the cutest shapes and make the perfect accent to
add words on.  And I tried stamping her on a bit of printed
card stock which I really like.  I love to try new things and
I have lots more to share all week so be sure and check
back to see more adorable new stamps!

Materials List for this is:
MME So Sopie, Spellbinders/ Teardrop Circles, Ranger
Archival ink in Coffee, Superfine Detail Clear Embossing
Powder, Bias Ribbon, Glossy Accents, Distress Ink-Dusty
Concord, Copic Markers, button, Versa Magic Purple Hydrangea.

See you tomorrow,

Life is good...

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July and if you
were like alot of people is So Cal we discovered going
home from Dana Point last night that lots of people went
to the beach to hang out with friends and to watch all
the fireworks shows out on the barges.  The winds were good
this time and the fireworks were beautiful!!
It was a really great day :)

And today I have a few new cards to share. I have so
many fun stamps and I ordered a few from LOTV with
bears so I thought I need to work on some to put in my box.

These papers are from MME and the stamp from
Studio G's new release and I used
some of my Copics to color it for a quick
and easy card.  I didn't blend much but to
be creative you don't always have to follow
rules.  Sometimes it's just fun to try new things :)

For this card I just layered a few shapes and
cut and embossed a border with my
Spellbinders Edgeabilites die to put at the bottom.
I stamped the Happy Birthday from a Penny Black
stamp on my circle die and layered that on the
Picot edge die on top of another circle.
I am kind of lovin the lacey edged dies and there is lots
of neat things coming out for CHA if you love them too!!
To finish my card I added ribbon and a few tiny seed pearls
and it's all done.  Sometimes it's fun to do really fancy cards
and sometimes it's great to do quick ones you can have
ready and in the mail to loved ones :)

So that's it for today but always check back because I
have lots on the scrap table to share from the
new dies once CHA hits the Chicago floors!

Hugs and Smiles,
Teresa

July Pagemaps from Becky Fleck!

I can't believe it's July already and it's time for
new Pagemaps from Becky Fleck!  And the good
news is I got to do a page this month!!  It was
such an honor and I was doing my happy dance
the whole day when I got the email.  Very happy news!

So here is my map for July...

and here is what I did with it...

There are some brand new papers out from
Little Yellow Bicycle for summer that are just
beautiful and I did another page of Nicole's
day at Sea World.  The title is "Smile little fish"
and seemed just perfect for the two of them. I
changed the direction of the photo on the map
and did a circle picture instead but that is the
idea for the maps too.  You can customize them
to work for what you have and they give you great
inspiration and help in getting lots of pages done!

The line comes with lots of acetate stickers so I used
lots of them for water splashes and the sun in the
back of the photo... and like everything I do I used
a few Spellbinders on the page!!  Becky has lots of
dies with Spellbinders that are super cute to use on
both cards and layouts and if you click here you can
see some of them.  I also used a Spellbinders circle die to
cut the photo out.  Since they are open in the centers you can
line them up perfectly and you can emboss them.
I hate circle cutters but these work just perfect!

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure and
stop over and see the new maps up and get
caught up with some pages this summer! There is
some amazing papers out right now :)
Hugs and Smiles,  Teresa
