Card Club for October

This was a really fun class to teach this month and it was
fun getting our inspiration going for Christmas even though
we have a couple of months ahead of us.  We made 5 cards,
a tag and they learned to make boxes for Christmas goodies too!

There was lots of embossing powder, ribbons and assorted other
things we used this month to glitz them up and I think that is
my favorite part of the season!!  Can't wait to start decorating
and get all my things ready to celebrate with my family...

This is one of my favorite stamps from Just Rite Stampers
and all the ladies loved that there were so many ornaments
to pick from and the designs fit perfect on the matching
Spellbinders dies....

That's all for today, i still have lots to make and share but
it's time to get ready for Halloween and lots of
Trick or Treaters so I hope you all have a safe and fun day!

Vintage Roses Purse with Spellbinders

I have another project in the gallery this week on
Spellbinders to share and this is one of my favorites
because I made lots of vintage roses and used my favorite
papers from my stash from Basic Grey!

I used the Grand Deco Circle dies to create this purse on
the fronts and backs and made a small box for the inside
to put a mini book or a special gift for someone. I also used
some vintage door handles for the base and they worked
perfect because they are so heavy and keep it nice and
flat.  Be sure and check here to see all the other dies
in the set because they are all so beautiful and you can make
so many things with them.  One can never have enough circles
to work with right?  Here is the list of products that I used:
Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms
Spellbinders Foliage
Spellbinders Carnation Creations
Spellbinders Grand Deco Circles
Spellbinders Grand Caliber
Metal Purse Handles, Kraft Cardstock, Scor-tape,
Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive, rhinestone swirls,
vintage door handles, chalk ink and ribbons. tweezers.

Thanks so much for stopping in and I have lots to share
with my new card club this month and lots of fun
things that I did for our Fall Open House at the store!

Have a wonderful day to you all,

New Heidi Swapp File Folders

Today I wanted to share 2 New File Folders that I
am doing for our next class at the store this Sat. We decided to
make this a monthly project so that by Christmas they
would have an entire File box done and can fill it with
things they needed to catch up on this year!

Our first File this time is "Family Themed" and we
are using lots of Pink Paislee papers and Heidi Swapp
embellies to finish it.  I can't tell you have fun it
is to make these and they hold so many pictures and
you have lots and lots of room for stories so that
part couldn't be better.  And I love the blues and yellows
of the Indigo Blue line, it's very, very pretty!

This is a few shots of the "All about Me File".
This is great for girls of all ages and I used some
fun Hero Arts stamps that I had all around in the
mini files.  This is very colorful and fun and I went
a little crazy with the book but it was very fun to do!!

Next time we are doing a Disney File and a Christmas
File so be sure and stop back to see sneak peaks of those!

Have a great day and hope you got inspired
to make some of these for yourself!

Victorian Card Class

I taught such a fun class Sat. with the ladies and
they got to make lots of Spellbinders Victorian cards with lots of
lace and pearls and bits of ribbons too.  We made 5 in our class
and their favorites were the black and white card and the tea card...
and they just happened to be my favorites too :)

For this card we used the Grand Deco Ovals smallest piece
to make the backround and we made some flowers with
Carnation Creations out of white card stock and pearls.  And I used
a small oval die Beaded Ovals for the sentiment and
finally the dress form in black Bazzill from
the dies I used on my Paris card the other day (French Frills).
I love the simplicity of this card because you
could really do any sentiment for it for any occasion....

Since I love afternoon Tea and coffee this is also one of my
favorites of the bunch.  I used Darsie's tea stamp set
and to make the tea cup and stamped it with Archival ink in brown
and used lots of foam dots to pop it up.  The dies are from
Spellbinders Antique Frames and Accents and
I think my favorite part is the steam and for this i used a swirl piece
from the new Jewels Flowers and Flourishes Die set and added Stickles
to make it shine a little. I should have made the flower but we
were pressed for time and just used a ready made one with a bit of netting.
Still love it though and the colors are so pretty and fall looking.

The papers on this card are from Bella and I used only
one piece of paper and one die for it (Decorative Labels Eight).
The paper has a beautiful side on front and back so I used it for the
back round and for the pop ups on the front.  The flowers are from Prima
and the little foliage is from Spellbinders Foliage1.  I love
netting and used it to tie bows and add little bits of
it with the lace and flowers and I love the feminine feel it
gives to all the cards.

Lastly we had to use Bitty Blossoms to make a few roses
for a card and the ladies had lots of fun with this new
Summer release die Decorative Labels Twenty-Seven
that we cut in Bo Bunny dot and layered on a pretty piece of Graphic 45.
The lace is from my stash when I used to go to the Jessica McClintock
warehouse along time ago and it worked perfect for this card.
I could really use some more sentiment stamps and I think that
we are going to order some more in for the store soon
so that will be great for us!

Thanks so much for stopping over and I hope that
I have lots of ideas to inspire you today with some
of the New Dies out from Spellbinders.

Hugs and Smiles :)

Paris card

Hi Everyone,
I had some time to make another card this week because I am
finally catching up with projects I am doing... yay!!
Since I have a Spellbinders Vintage card class coming up this
weekend I am in vintage mode and got out my favorite Paris set
of dies from Spellbinders.  I love this die set and used lots of
pretty pinks and black to make this fun card that I can use
for someone at a later date.

The papers I used are from Bo Bunny (pink dot), Authentique
and Fancy Pants (Black dot).  I use lots of foam squares between
the layers to really give this dimension so this will not be a card
that I can mail but it looks really pretty!!

I added lots of bling too from Want2Scrap in pink
and the tiny rhinestone in the middle is from Prima.
The new dies out this summer are just beautiful
and have so much embossing and cut out details.
I love them both and there is lots of great pieces in each of them!
The ribbon is from Creative Impressions and the ink
I used to distress the middle panel is Worn Lipstick by Ranger.

Thanks again for popping on over and hope you
make something fun today too....

Hugs and Smiles!

I love embossing folders

I think that one of my favorite products on the market
today is embossing folders.  It is amazing to me how they
can take plain flat paper and make it so beautiful.
Today's card is something I put together really quick this morning
by just using white cardstock and some flowers.  No paper
matching whatsoever!  Yay!  And I picked some new flowers
that I got from Bo Bunny to add on to it.

I used two of my favorite Spellbinders dies for this:
and layered them over a white card that I embossed
with  the Enchanted M-Bossabilities folder.  Oh how
i love victorian things and this was so easy to do....

Another fun idea is to emboss your envelopes so
that when it arrives in the mail to your recipient they
will be amazed at how creative you are!!  Isn't the
embossing sooo pretty!  The extras on my card are:
Distress Ink in worn lipstick
White lace by Hero Arts
Pearls and ribbon by Creative Impressions
Stamp by Penny Black (Gratitude Set)

Thanks so much for stopping in and
I hope you have a really wonderful day!

Xmas Cards?

I wanted to just make a few cards today and play
which I haven't done for awhile and as I picked up papers
close to me I ended up today with 2 christmas cards! LOL!
I guess if you go where inspiration leads you-- you never
know what you may end up with!
So today my first card is with one of the prettiest dies
out from Spellbinders called Venetian Motifs S5-119.

I love the intricate design of this die and with all the tiny
pieces you can really have fun and create something gorgeous.
For me this seemed perfect to create an ornament adding a
little bit of our silver foil and a few tiny pearls and ribbon.  I used the
new Card Creator Rectangles to make an embossed backround
for my card and layered the die and added a pretty white bow
onto the top of the ornament.  I don't think my picture really does
this justice but I think this might be in the running for my cards this year.
The stamp I used is from Penny Black (Christmas Cheer)
and it's wonderful set because it has so many sentiments to chose from.

My next card was quick and simple and is from
a Christmas Kaisercraft  mini pad of paper.  The patterns are
super cute and it even has tags and borders in the back!  Sometimes
that can be a gift if you are wanting to make something quick!

One of my favorite dies is Spellbinders Lacey Oval and it
was perfect to frame this sentiment in. The rest I just
layered the borders and added a couple of ribbons
tied in a bow and added a couple of stick pins to make it glisten.

Thanks so much for stopping over today and I
have lots more to share so be sure and stop back soon.

Hugs and Smiles!

Sept Card Club

This month we started in making a few Holiday Cards mixed
in with a fun butterfly card and a fun tag that went with
a cupcake box.  We used lots of Penny Black Stamps again
this month and I think my favorite is the cute little elf using
New Bo Bunny Christmas and the adorable kitten
and the balloons using Doodlebug Birthday papers.

We used some of my favorite Spellbinders Dies too.
Poinsettia's, Create a Flake 3, Lacey Ovals, Splendid
Circles and one of the new tags that just came out in stores.
The cards are colored with Copic markers and we mixed in
a few Distress markers to play with.

It was alot of fun and we have lots of classes scheduled this
month so I will have lots to share with you!
Have a great day and hope you make a few fun cards today...
