Cardabilites #94 is up...

Today we have a brand new sketch up on the blog for
Cardabilites and wow is it ever cute.  I really loved this one
and made 2 cards to share this time.  One is with our sponser
this month-Chapel Road Artstamps up in Canada and the other
is with only the sketch using my favorite MME papers.

For my first card I used papers from Prima called Nature Garden.
I thought the muted purples and pinks would really be pretty
with the flowers on the stamp.  I stamped the image (Picture Poems)
on one of the new release dies from Spellbinders called Labels 34.
It's the perfect size and shape for my 5x5 card.  I also layered some
lace and ribbons and prima flowers that I had in my stash with
the flags on the left side.  Oh and I used just a little bit of
light pink distress ink to stencil around the inside of my die.

For my second card I followed the sketch and created
a basic backround and then used Spellbinders Labels 25
for the backround and then layered pretty pieces of patterned
papers for the flags and then fussy cut a flower from the
prints and added foliage, twine, a chipboard button and a tag.
I really love the prints and papers for this one alot.

Thank you so much for stopping and be sure and create
a card from the sketch and add it to our gallery.  We always
love to see what you create from the sketches too :)

Paper and Bezels

Today I want to share an easy way to do Bezels
without the long wait for resin to dry.  There are lots
of really pretty Bezels in the Butterbee Scraps online
store and a quick and easy way to fill them is by hand
cutting bits of your favorite papers or stamping on the
papers and cutting it to fit inside each of them.

For my first necklace I used these things
from the Butterbee online store:

 Large Silver Rectangle Bezels

You will also need Glossy Accents, Beacon Quick Grip,
wire cutters, scissors and some tweezers.

I cut the papers with scissors to the size i wanted to
fill the bezel with and made sure that I had the pattern
where I wanted it.  Then I filled it with foam dots to
fill the bottom up a little and then stuck in the papers.

I used my wire cutters to snip off both ends of the charm
and then glued on the love heart charm in the center
of it and let it dry.  Meanwhile I filled the bezel with a thin
layer of Glossy Accents and let that dry too.  When it was
done i used a little bit of Beacon Quick Grip glue to adhere
the charm to the center and added a few rhinestones at the top
and at the bottom and both sides of the charm. For the
chain you just cut a piece however long that you would
like and attach the closure piece on the end of it. It's super easy.

And if that wasn't easy then my next necklace I cut
2 pieces of glittery paper, one black with silver dots and the other a
striped silver and glued those in at the bottom of the bezel.
Next I glued in the large silver rose charm and let it all
dry really well. To finish it i added a really thin layer of Glossy
Accents and tiny clear rhinestones on each corner inside
of the bezel and let it dry.  I put the same chain on this
one too because you get so much with your order it's
easy to do 2-3 projects easy.  These were super simple and
you can do a bunch for gifts in just a night... sometimes it's
good just to do fun and easy things to change it up a little!!

That's all from me today so have a great day and
create something amazing ok :)

Cameos from Butterbee Scraps

Today I have a quick share using a cameo and some
other special pieces that I got from Butterbee Scraps.
Both of these projects went together so quick and easy
and I didn't need many peices for either one to finish them
beacause they are so pretty and ornate already....

So here is some quick instructions to get you started:

To make my pin I glued in the cameo to the Copper Cameo back
and then glued on the bronze filligree piece across the back
so that I could attach a pin back.  I thought that this would look
so nice on a jacket or maybe i could give the set as a gift to my
grandmother for something special.

For my necklace I glued 2 pieces of the center
copper Cameo ovals together so that if it turns when i wear
it it will look nice.  And then I glued in the cameo and let
it dry.  To make the attachment at the top I took a piece of 20
gauge wire and twisted a double loop and then cut another piece
of wire and looped it on both ends and slid that through the
double loops to attach the chain.  I finished the ends
of the chain with a matching lobster claw clasp and that was it.
I really love this set and the pieces are so ornate and delicate
looking. You will need these pieces to make this project:

Matching chain, tiny pearls, wire cutters, chain nose pliers,
nylon jaw pliers, Beacon Quick grip adhesive and a pin back.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and
thanks for stopping over to see what's new

New Butterbee Scraps projects today

It's Wednesday already and i have a few new projects
to share made with all the neat products online at
Butterbee Scraps. I had lots of bronze pieces and some
really pretty chain to go with it all so I mixed and matched
them and came up with a necklace and matching bracelet and
also a really pretty hair barrette to wear in my hair.

For my necklace I used the chain # CH 206-B and
added Suns 092-B with bronze jump rings. On each of
suns I used a small bronze cap and glued a pearl
inside each one and let them dry.  Between each sun i used
a headpin to add a pearl and made a loop to hang each of
them. To finish it I added an extra layer of chain and used
a lobster clasp to finish the back also using jump rings.

My bracelet went together super easy just by layering
a few of the bronze filigree pieces and gluing them and
then I added the bead caps that look like flowers and
glued in tiny pearls to match the necklace.
For this piece i used the bracelet form J198 B and then
added  #806-B and #810-B over the top.  I really like the
way it came out and it was so easy to do.

For my hair barrette I kind of did the same thing as the
bracelet but in the center I added a really pretty flower
#535-B and glued in some rhinestones and a couple for the
bead caps on the sides to match.  Underneath is a hair
barrette that I got at the craft store and I glued that on
with some heavy duty glue and let it dry.

You can get everything online from the Butterbee store and
there is lots of new products too so be sure and check it
out.  Thanks for stopping over... and thanks to all of
you who always leave comments...
it's really nice to hear from you..

Happy Birthday in white...

I hope you all had a really nice weekend.  I taught a really fun
class yesterday at Scrap N Yap making a New File folder so
my weekend was spent out planting flowers in my garden and
having fun with all the ladies in my class.  It was really nice :)

but around the rest of the country-- I am seeing so much
white snow in the news everyday I thought I would share a card
that I did just in white paper and some pretty ribbon.

For my card i am using one of the new CHA release Spellbinders
dies called Lucious Labels One.  This is such a beautiful
and detailed die and it's perfect to mix with all the other Labels
One dies that they carry.  The backround is made with an
embossing folder and it gives it just the right amount of texture to
compliment the pretty details in the dies I used.

For the sentiment I used a stamp from Just Rite stampers and
stamped it in black and then cut around the edges. The dies
have these neat holes in the sides so I laced my white ribbon
through it and tied a pretty bow on the side and then
added some foliage and a pretty glittery embellishment.
And that was it.  It went together really fast and easy.

I have lots of things to make today so I better be off
and get a few things done.  Thanks for stopping over and
I hope that you have a really nice day!

Cardabilites New Sketch #93

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Today is the first reveal of our new team and I have 3 cards
to share with all of you using the new Cardabilies sketch.  It is so
cute and there is so many possibilites for it so I hope that you will
have a chance to use it and create something fun to give or send out.

Here is the sketch this time...
and here is the first card I have to share

The stamp is from an amazing company up
in Canada called Chapel Road Artstamps.  I can't say enough
about all the beautiful styles they have and you will have to
go and check them out for yourself when you get time.
The papers I used are from Teresa Collins 6x6 pad.  I love the
soft hues of yellow, grey and black together and I had a really
cute dragonfly charm from my stash that i added over the bow.

Here is a different version using black, cream and pink.
I used vellum for the backround die and then layered the
other pieces over it and added a bit of bling from Want2Scrap.

My last card is using papers from MME.  It's my favorite paper
line and I love all the cute little patterns on it.  To make my
card I used a Spellbinders die called Stately Circles and created
layers of colored paper and then added the embellishments
like the sketch.  I love this one and can't wait to mail it out.

Thanks for stopping over and be sure and create something
to enter on Cardabilites to show us what you can do too.

Have a really amazing, love filled and crafty day!!

It's almost Valentines Day

I have two quick cards to share today to inspire you all
to make up something to give out for Valentines Day this friday...

My first card is made with an image from
Lily of the Valley stamps in England.  I think
these cute little characters are my favorite and I used
the New Spellbinders Elegant Oval set for this one and the
With Love card below.  The papers are from Doodlebug's
Valentine 6x6 pad and match perfectly.  And the flowers
and Want2Scrap pearls I used on the side are from my stash.

This card was supposed to be for the Verve challenge
but I am a little late.  I still love their stamps though
and made this one to give for Valentines.  I love the
sentiment on this... the lettering is so pretty. Oh and the
flowers are from Prima but you can always make your
own with the new flower dies we have coming out
from Spellbinders that you can see here

That's all for today..I am going out to do a little
bit of gardening while the weather is good.

Thanks for stopping over to see what's new and I
hope that you all have a very sweet and wonderful
Valentines day with those you love...

Queen of Hearts Blog Hop

Welcome to our Queen of Hearts Event!
We are all celebrating this week with projects filled with
love inspired stamps to make for family and friends either
for Valentines or just to give to someone to show how much
you care about them or love them.

Today I am sharing a card that I made with the true Queen
of Hearts theme in mind.  I adore Alice in Wonderland
so I made my card with lots of Red roses, white, black
and silver mirrored cardstock to really make it special.

To make my card I layered simple cardstock in red
and white and then I added a layer of vellum that
has a subtle silver design in it and tiny hearts too.

For my stamp I used the Happy Valentines Day
from the new Gentle Thoughts set #6428 below
and stamped it in black Versafine Ink from Tsukineko
and embossed it with clear to really make it stand out.

There are lots of great sentiments in this set and
you can use them other times of the year too.

I also used one of the Brand New Dies from Spellbinders
called Tranquil Moments in the silver cardstock and made
lots of red roses and leaves with the Bitty Blossoms Rose
and Foliage dies that are available online too.

Fit for a Queen

Today I made another piece of jewelry from the new
Gilded Life Collection from Spellbinders.  This bezel
is called the Small Crown Bezel and it is truly a
gorgeous piece to work with.  It too comes in 2 sizes
and comes in both bronze and silver.

There really wasn't much needed for this piece.
I used the matching dies to cut the aqua paper to put
inside of the bezel and then i used a small decorative trinket
that I found at the hobby store to put in the center. Then I
just added a little bit of Glossy Accents and let it dry. To finish it
I added a few rhinestones from Want2Scrap and that was it.

The beautiful aqua really sets off the bronze in the Bezel
and I just added a simple chain for this one so it wouldn't be so fussy.

I sure am having lots of fun with these beautiful bezels
and hope you get the chance to make up a few for you too.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what's new on my blog
and be sure and let me know what you think so that I can
pass it on to everyone at Spellbinders :)

Have a wonderful day,  Teresa

Hugs and Kisses Card

Hi Everyone can you believe that it is Friday already.
Today is our Card Club up at Scrap N Yap and I
have some really fun cards for the girls to do this month.
It should be lots of fun and we are working alot with ideas to
use white and solid colored cardstock to make cards so my
card today is a good example to share with all of you.

Since we are only a week away from Valentines I used
one of my favorite heart dies from Spellbinders
called Lace Hearts that you can see below

I love this set because you have so many options with
it.  All the pieces cut seperate and you can layer them
to make really beautiful projects to give away or keep
to decorate your own house.  My card is basically made
in white cardstock and I used just a bit of peachy pink
to set off the intricate details of the white in the dies.

I also did another project posted on the Spellbinders Blog
yesterday using parts of the same die.  I made an Easel Box
to fill with candies for Valentines and it was really fun to
create and I love the colors and how it came out.

If you have time be sure and stop over on the blog and see it
and let me know what you think... Have a happy and
very crafty day everyone.....

Happy Valentines Day Card

Hello Everyone and I hope that you are all having a really
great week so far.  Today as promised I have a card that I did
this past weekend to give for Valentines.  There is a brand new die
just released from Spellbinders called Elegant Ovals and I think
that its already one of my favorites of all time to create with.

I love pinks and blacks and this was the perfect paper to match
with the elegance of the new oval dies.  The top and bottom
edges are cut and embossed with the new A-2 Scalloped Borders 2.
The set comes with 8 pieces that you can mix and match and
they are all really gorgeous and super intricate. I love that!

(The papers I used are from the Carta Bella Paris Girl 6x6 pad)

Don't you love the details in this die set, it's so pretty.
Oh and the pearls are from Want2Scrap and they are
called Baby Bling!  How cute is that :)

I hope this inspires you to start creating something
special for those in your family that you care about
and don't forget to check out the new dies on the web
out from CHA... They will be coming soon and you
can order them on the Spellbinders website too.

Gilded Life in Pink...

Today I have another brand new necklace to share that I created
with the Gilded Life Iron Cross Bezel.  They come in 2 sizes and
in both bronze and silver and since I was using pink beads I
used the small bronze bezel to create with....

So to start my necklace I decided to only use a pretty intricate
cabachon I had to decorate the front of the bezel and fill it with pretty
pink glitter. It has a dome cover so I glued that on and let it dry
and then glued the whole piece on the front of the Iron Cross Bezel .
It was really simple yet it looks really pretty I think.

For the chain I repurposed some pearls and pink crystal beads
and mixed them in throughout the chain to make it
a little more feminine.  I also had fancy metal circles that
matched from my stash so I added those too.  I finished the end
with a matching closure and that was it.  I have the perfect outfit to
match and can't wait to wear it somewhere and show it off!

Be sure and check out all the Spellbinders Gilded life products on
the Spellbinders website and your local craft store too. They
can really be addicting to craft with :)  Can't wait to show you the
other beautiful things that they have later this week.....

Have a great day everyone,
Teresa

New Gilded Life for Spellbinders

Now that the CHA show is over we can share lots of the fun
products that we have for Spellbinders and Gilded Life.
All this week I will have something new that I made
and lots of new cards for Valentines next week.  How exciting!!

My first project to share is a heart necklace that I made
with the small Heart Bezel in bronze. Each of the pieces
come with matching dies to cut out the insides so I cut
and embossed a piece of the heart die with premium craft foil
and then embossed it again with the French Script Texture plates.
Then I added rhinestones all around the outside edges
and filled it in with Glossy Accents.  This is faster than resin
and will dry overnite so that you can wear it the next day.

To attach my heart to the chain I created a twisted loop
that I attached to the chain with jump rings.

I had some really pretty red beads so I created the chain
but cutting small pieces of bronze 20 gauge wire from Beadalon
and attaching them together with Beadalong chain nose pliers and
my nylon jaw pliers.  I added chain on both ends
with bronze jump rings and a clasp to close it.

I love hearts of all kinds and this was really fun and easy
to make in an evening.  I hope you like it and be sure
and go check out all the other beautiful things available
to buy and stop in tomorrow for another new project!!

Happy Monday....
