More fun with border dies

This week i used another new border die set and another fun product from Becca Feeken's new dies. This one is called "Graceful Damask Card Creator" Border die.  You get 2 amazing and gorgeous dies in this set and i really had alot of fun experimenting and trying something new to share.

So when Becca created all these dies she also created a special die to make a cut border for a square card.  It is called "Graceful 6x6 Frame maker" and it's super easy to use.  All you do is cut 4 pieces of the border and gently hold it in place with a good removable tape and run it through your die cutting machine.  Then just glue it in place and you have a gorgeous frame for your card.

I also used the other piece in the set and cut it with the subtle pink card stock and weaved it through a couple of layers of just simple squares.  Then i topped it with a white die cut from the
"Adorning Accents Die set" which is on sale right now in the Spellbinders store!!  How great is that :)

It almost looks like a Snowflake with all the gorgeous little details in it.  And perfect to send with a
wonderful sentiment in the inside for a best friend or thinking of you card.

and this is just a sweet box that i made up with bit of paper from Canvas Corp and that same Adorning Accents die.  These are so easy and you could even make up some of your own flowers with one of the new Fold and Go Flowers from the New release of dies this month.

And lastly i also  had time to whip up a quick pizza box using the Adorning accents die and adding some pretty ribbon around it to tie it off.  These are super easy and fun to make and you can customize them to fit your favorite dies like i did here.  It's perfect for larger cookies or give a special gift card inside to remember a birthday or special friend.  I just wish i had more time in a day!!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out Becca's blog for more inspiration this week.

Creating with Border dies

Today i have a fun share using some of the new border dies by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders.  There are lots of them so you will be seeing more ideas from me in the weeks ahead so be sure and pop back in for a quick peek.

So this project started with me finding that cute little glass jar on one of my trips to my neighborhood Hobby Lobby.  They have a huge wall of fun things to decorate but i chose this because i new i could do something fun with the "Graceful Sweet Words Card Creator set from Becca."  There are 3 dies in this set and they all cut beautifully.

I really loved the hugs die so i cut it in a lighter blue and also cut the loopy border to attach below it and then around the jar.  I used double sided adhesive tape because it is clear and doesn't leave a residue like glue does.  And then i cut that circle you see on the top and the loopy flower in light blue to match the hugs border and glued it on the top with glue dots.  And to finish it i just added a piece of matching ribbon and a few rhinestones and now i can fill it with something yummy to give for a gift.  Sugar scrub would also be a great idea to put inside for a wedding shower.

For my card i had alot of fun mixing and matching a few of the new dies that were just released.  I love that Becca Feekens dies mix so well and give you so many options for other things.  I used the new Braided Grace Square, the circles from the Venise Lace Marcheline Plume die set and the tiny tag from the Victoriana Crest die i used for the hop this last Tuesday.  And the border die in the darker blue was the perfect compliment to make the sentiment from the Graceful tiny tags die set stand out more.  It's fun when it all goes together so well.

Here is a close up of the pieces and if you need any of them be sure and check out all the new things from the Spellbinders store from Becca Feeken... you are going to love them!!

Thank you for stopping back and i hope that you all enjoyed the hop!!

Amazing Grace Blog Hop with Venise Lace

Hi there, welcome to the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team Blog Hop. Today we are introducing a new die collection by Becca Feeken called Venise Lace.  I'll list all of the creative team so that you don't miss a beat but don't forget, each of us will be giving away an Amazing Paper Grace die pulled from the comments left on each of the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team blogs - details at the bottom of my post.   We thought it would be awesome to introduce the dies along with samples to show what you can make.  So, without further ado let me talk about the two dies I get to introduce:

First up is Spellbinders S6-125 Venise Lace - Victoriana Crest by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace in the Venise Lace Collection.

For my project I really wanted to show this die off so i created a shaped card.  To make it i had to create a base so i did that in navy and white for the inside back and i attached them at the top. Then i cut/embossed the front in silver and glued it to the front of the card and I also cut the oval floral piece and the outside ring and glued them on a white base.  I stamped it in navy to make it match the ribbons i used and added a few pearls and rhinestones to really make it vintage looking.

I loved that this die set has so many pieces that you can mix and match to make other styles of cards. It is filled with amazing details from the outside grand victorian base piece to the tiny little tag that fits in the center and I am sure that you will love to create something with this one too.

The second up is Spellbinders S4-790 Venise Lace - Bella Clair Border by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace in the Venise Lace Collection.

For my project I wanted to try and create a border for one of the clear acetate boxes that i love to do for gift cards and mini card sets.  It was super easy and all i did was die cut the die on a measured piece of paper on both the top and bottom and this is how it came out. There is a piece for both the front and the back and i overlapped them on the sides and glued them.  Then  I tied a pink ribbon around the center to bring out the colors in the paper i used to wrap the box and then added an extra bow in ivory and gold to compliment the whole thing.  I also found this pretty adhesive bling piece in my stash so i used that to finish off my bow.  For the inside i am going to make a card to give a gift card so be sure and check my blog for another post to see what i did.

I loved this die because i can think of a million things to decorate with this border.  I make lots of boxes and bags and other little gifty things so this would be perfect to add with a few flowers and ribbon to make very special things for my friends.

And i also have another quick card to share that i did with just the centers of the Victoriana Crest die.  Here in the states we will be celebrating our 4th of July so i made up a quick card to send out in red, white and blue.  I kept it really simple and added just a bit of silver in the center.

Congratulations Graduate

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog today.  I have another share using Becca Feeken's new Vintage Elegance dies and this time i used some gorgeous papers from my stash to create a Graduation gift card for a co worker.  I actually used 2 dies to over lap for this one so read on to see how i did it.

Sometimes when i make something the inspiration comes from the paper that i use.  I had this really pretty printed piece of black and silver foil paper so i thought i would see if i could create something special with it.  So i used it for the back round and added a silver piece of foil paper to cut both the
Amazing Paper Grace Vintage Elegance Curled Grace Oval and the Amazing Paper Grace Vintage Elegance Giving Occasions Stamp and Die Set.  Both of these die sets are gorgeous and there is so many fun things you can do with them on their own but it was fun to combine them.  The best part was it was really quick to make... the dies really make cardmaking easy!

Here is a view of the card closeup to see how the two dies interlock.  The stamp set is wonderful too in that you get so many different sentiments in the set.  Be sure and check out the links above on the dies so you can see all of them and maybe order a few to make up your special cards that you need this summer.  It's going to be a fun and crafty one for sure!!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!  Teresa

Especially for you

It's been a few days and today i get to post another new die from the Vintage Elegance collection that was just released from Spellbinders called Braided Grace Square.  Everyone on our team has created lots of cards using this die set and it's amazing how many ways you can use this.

This is one of my favorite style cards to do because it only uses the dies in the set but it's how you use the paper that makes it different.  For my card i used both light aqua and a med aqua and cut the larger die with the center in out of both.  Then I stamped and embossed the sentiment on light aqua paper and cut it out with the die from the center.  This way i can make sure that the Penny Black  sentiment is straight on and fits perfect.

For the base of the card i cut a square piece of aqua just a bit smaller than the dies and just embossed it with 2 square dies to make the frame.  I added a mat in dark aqua to fit and then created the card to go under all of it with light aqua again.  For the medallion I glued on the dark aqua die to the card and then attached the second layer with a foam square.  The little bit sticking out from the sentiment is another piece of the die but i cut it into little photo corners kind of and glued it under the center sentiment piece.  And finally i attached the sentiment with glue dots to make it pop out too.

Here is a closeup of the medallion and the little ribbon bow i added to finish it.  Oh and i also added a few tiny rhinestones to make it a little more sparkly.  I love sparkly so might see alot of my things that way in the months ahead.

Be sure and check out Becca Feeken's blog today for all the ideas from our design team this week.  There is lots of beautiful inspiration for the new dies and you can see all of Becca's dies
here in the Spellbinders store just in case you need to order a few!!

Happy Tuesday and happy crafting to all of you :)

A cute Victorian Bookmark

Summer is the perfect time to relax and read a good book so don't forget to have lots of bookmarks on hand to save your place when you are reading.  Becca Feeken has a new Filigree Bookmark/Tag die from her Vintage Elegance collection with Spellbinders and it's really gorgeous.  I used some papers that i had in my stash to create mine using my favorite Robin's Egg blue and black combo.

This one is super easy to make so you can do them up in a afternoon for friends and even your bookclub members.  What a fun surprise to bring each of them a summer bookmark designed for each of them.  Mine is made using black cardstock for the back layer which i cut 2 of and glued them at the top so that it can fit over the pages nicely.  Then i cut a piece of Bo Bunny paper for the top lace piece and another to glue my top to for a base.  Then i glued it to the top black piece and finished it with some pretty silk ribbon and roses from my stash.  And of course i had to add a few rhinestones to make it a little more sparkly.

Here you can see a closeup of the dies pretty details.  It's amazing how Becca creates such beautiful and intricate dies and i love also how she make other pieces to tie into them.  This die also
has a beautiful pocket that you can create for a card and then give you bookmark.

And this is just a closeup of my flowers that i added.  I also put just a touch of supefine glitter on them too.  I love having roses that keep forever.

Supplies List:

Bazzill Basics Paper in black
Bo Bunny Paper
1/4 silk ribbon
Flowers
Rhinestones
Adhesive

Thanks again for stopping by and be sure and check in on the Amazing Paper Grace blog for a weekly update on all the projects that our team designs for her!!  You will love them....

Walk with the Dreamers

Happy Saturday to all of you and welcome back to my blog.  I have another sweet card to share with all of you that i just did for a co worker and i really love the way it came out. I used a soft blue print mixed with a bright navy and muted white.  It's bright and cheerful and of course i love the new dies!

For my card i used a new release die from Becca Feeken called Vintage Elegance Beautiful Dreamer Stamp and Die Set.  This is a beautiful set because the die is so universal and you even get 3 stamps with it that fit perfectly inside of the middle of the die.  I also used one of the new Graceful Border dies called Graceful Fans.  It worked brilliantly to pop out the sentiment on the front like i wanted.

Here you can see a closeup of the beautiful and intricate details in Becca's dies.  I added a few perfect pearls to a few of the areas and also a few tiny flowers i picked up from the store.  My sentiment i stamped in a beautiful cobalt blue using Ranger Archival ink in cobalt and gently embossed it with clear embossing powder to make it pop more.  The paper i used is from Bazzill Basics paper and the print is a piece i had in my stash from Maja Designs.

Design Tip:  To make the pieces pop more add tiny 3D foam dots or squares in between the layers.  I love Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  They are my favorite and always work the best for me.

Thanks so much for stopping over and please come by again to see more ideas
using Becca's new Vintage Elegance dies this next week.  They are gorgeous!
