CSI case file #38

It's been awhile since i have had a chance to join in
over at CSI but I so love to do the pages with
them and this time i scrapped a cute photo I got
of my niece and her puppy.  The colors were really
pretty and I found some things in my stash and mixed
it up with a few new Bo Bunny flowers that I got..

Here is the file for this week:
and here is my page that I did....

They are adding sketches this month to go by too
so i followed it and added a few more layers.
I love that the colors were really subtle and I found
a few pale aqua flowers to mix in and match the papers.
I also punched a few little very tiny flowers to match the
branches that I cut and embossed with a Spellbinders Die.
And spritzed it just a little with Tattered Angels Trunk Bay.

It's really special to get the little things in life like this
scrapped and put in books.  Life seems like it goes
by too fast these days and getting down the stories
is going to be priceless someday for all of us in our family!

Thanks so much for stopping over
and hope you have a very crafty weekend!

First Days of Fall are here...

I finally get to share something I made that is in the gallery today
and it's one of my favorite cards I did.  Spellbinders just came out
with a beautiful set of flower dies called Jewel Flowers and Flourishes
this summer and it had so many pretty pieces to use in it as you can see.
The papers are from Pine Cone Press and Bo Bunny and are so
rich with all the beautiful shades of fall that we are going to see soon!

To make the card I used one of the New Card Creator Dies
called Basic Lattice S5-151 and I cut and embossed a piece
out of brown patterned cardstock.  Over that I layered three
of my new favorite Labels Twenty Eight pieces with a tiny tag
on the top that says Thanks.. I finished it with a beautiful sunflower
filled in the center with rich brown Flower Soft and lots of
pretty Fall Foliage leaves to fill it in under the flower and a couple
of green patterned paper swirls that I cut and embossed.  I love this
because it reminds me of a pretty fall garden and I am
especially partial to sunflowers, especially the huge ones
at Cal Poly Pomona's Pumpkin Patch.

Thanks so much for stopping over
and I still have lots of projects to share and Card Club is coming
up this week so there is lots of fun cards to be made!

Have a wonderful day...

Heidi Swapp File Folder Class

So I had to share this fun class I am teaching this morning
because I can honestly say I LOVE doing these little folders
to make an album!  Rebecca and Heidi are just awesome for
thinking of this fun and unique folders and it is going to be
a blast to teach this morning... I am going to share the photos of my
version and will make a few more styles of folders to share this week!!

It's going to be addicting....

So the story goes that Heidi wanted to create something unique
for her family albums that she could put a whole adventure
or a whole event in and this is what she dreamed up!
Could you just imagine these with Graduation or babies,
school, vacations and even birthdays too!

Each folder is filled with fun flaps and mini folders to
fill with photos and lots and lots of memories!  I love
doing this so it's right up my alley so to speak (((LOVE)))

Just love the colors in this line!

If you are interested in the class ---call
Hearts N Crafts for either the Oct or Nov
class.  We are going to do different themes for each of
the 6 files that go into the File box.
It is going to be really, really fun!!

Have a wonderful Sat....

So much to do and so little time...

It's seems like i am working on a million and one
things these days and thank goodness I am one of those
people who can make deadlines but every once in awhile
time escapes from you and you say oh my gosh how am
I going to get it done.... luckily I take it one thing at a time
and just do it with all my heart and soul!!

and.. our DT is busy at work again on Spellbinders projects and
I wish I could share some of mine with all of you but
alot of it is a secret :)  And if you haven't checked out
the new Summer release available now be sure and stop over at
the online store to see... They are just gorgeous!!
and really, really fun to use too!

So as the days are changing finally and fall is coming---
we are making lots of samples to put up for inspiration
at the store and having a fun Fall Open House tomorrow nite
with make and takes and lots of demos so I am really busy!!

Here is a few of my favorite things I have been creating..

I adore Doodlebug papers and the Haunted Manor
papers this season are just so very cute this time.. I am doing a
6x6 card class with lots of cards in October with this line..

Aren't these pumpkins just the cutest things?

These new papers with a friendship theme from Bo Bunny
are just beautiful.  I love the deep reds and greens for this.

Making these covered memo pads are great for gifts.
You can get the pens and put matching paper inside
so that it all goes together perfectly!

We have lots of New Penny Black Stamps in the store now and
I used 2 of the New ones to create these 2 cards for our
make and takes for the Open House tomorrow nite.

I love this house and wouldn't you know it..
it's an old Victorian just a little bit haunted!
How cute is this! The papers are Bo Bunny
and Doodlebug dots....

This is a mix of a bunch of different patterned papers but
it's just to give the idea of stamping on colored
papers and then shading them.  I love using doilies
and love the cute little leaves on this one.

I have lots more cute little goodie boxes and pages I did
but I need pictures so I will share those on friday!
Thanks so much for stopping in :)

New Fall Class at HNC

I think that autumn is my favorite time of year here..
The leaves start changing and there is lots of corn and pumpkins
and raspberries to pick on the farms up at Riley's.  So it inspired
me to be ready this year and create a fun album to put some
photos of a new adventure this month.

The new Bo Bunny book is in the shape of a pumpkin and
has lots of pages to decorate and add flowers and lots
of bits and pieces of papers and ribbons.  I am
teaching this today at HNC and I am sure we will
have lots of fun!  Oh and of course I had to add
a Spellbinders die on the front and this time we are doing
flowers from Jewel Flowers and Flourishes that has lots
of cute flowers and swirls to cut with.  See here....

I have lots of photos from my trip last weekend
hiking in the redwoods in Sequoia to post but need to
get ready for class now!  Have a wonderful day :)

Becky Fleck's Cardmaps for Sept

It's the first of Sept already and that means new Maps up
on Pagemaps this month!!  And this month our team at
Spellbinders got the opportunity to make a few to share
with all of you to make some really adorable cards!  Yay!

So here is my map that I got to use for inspiration...

and here is the card that I created.....

I know it's a little early for fall but some of the
leaves are falling here in California and all this New
Apple Cider papers from Bo Bunny had me totally inspired!
For my card I used Becky's dies called Jar Labels S5-096
starting with the label for the back and adding lots
of flowers (Jewel Flowers and Flourishes S5-143)
and leaves (Little Leaf Sets S4-385) where the kites should be.
If you trace the outside of the die you have an extra layer and
that is where i got the ivory mat on the back of the label!
And no you don't see any kites anywhere because
sometimes it's just the placement of where things are that
gets you inspired to create --and I really love the way this came out
and hope you do too!

Thanks Becky for the fun sketch and thanks
to all of you that drop in for inspiration!

Check it out here for the other girls fun ideas....
Have a really wonderful day :)

Journal Monday #4

I hope you are all having a great holiday weekend so far!
It is nice to have these days to catch up with life and maybe
create a few things here and there right?  Well today
is Journal Monday and lots of things happened this week
some good and some bad but it got me to thinking how
important each day is in our lives and how we
should step out of our comfort zones and do things...
lots of things that we wouldn't normally do--- just to say
you tried it once... My book this week is a pocket journal
that I made from a Basically Bare Kraft book from Tattered Angels.
The title is "Just Go" and it was inspired by all those people
in my life that just go... they take life running and enjoy
each and every moment... I hear so many people say
"We are going to do that when we retire" and for me I want
to start now.... and "Just Go".....

So here is the front of my book filled with lots
of fun bits of this and that...

I used some Echo Park and alot of MME papers for it
and as promised there is lots of things that I used
from my stash to use some of it up...
stickers, tags, buttons, ribbons and keys.

I love the book because it has 4 pockets with a card
in each for photos and whatever else you pick up on
your journeys.  And in my case since i am a huge
collector of things I am adding some envelopes that
I am decorating and extra cards to write in and to
put photos in when I get them printed up..

This was such a fun book to do and is going to be
perfect for my next trip to Sacramento and Sequoia.
The pages measure about the same so it was really
quick and if you use a pack of the same collection then
all of it is fun to mix and match on each of the
 pages when you are working.

This book was also inspired because I lost one
of my very favorite Aunts this last week.  I will
love her always and will miss her alot but I take
great comfort in knowing she is with my Uncle now
and I will always remember to enjoy each and every
moment in life.... because you just never know....

Have a wonderful Monday...
Hugs and Smiles :)
