Yosemite page

Hi Everyone.. yep I do pages too.... but not so much
with all the cards I have been making-- but I made some time to
put together some pages of our trip to Yosemite
this spring.  It was really fun and we had some snow
but the valley was still great to hike and I got some
wonderful photos of the trees... and some funny stories.

I got a big set of this paper line from WeR and it's
filled with lots of stickers, papers and goodies
so it was really easy to scrap my trip.
The photo on the left is Yosemite Falls right where
a famous man named John Muir had his cabin.  Can you imagine
waking up each day to that view.. I would have loved it
actually.  Being up in the mountains is my one place
of true serenity.  I love all the smells, trees and the rivers..

That's it for today but thanks for stopping!
Have a good Wednesday,
and hope you do something creative today....

Oh how I love Snowflakes....

I am not going to lie.. I love snowflakes on everything.
They say that what you don't have you love so being from
Southern California we don't get much of this beautiful snow!

So when Spellbinders came out with the new release this
summer of snowflake dies I had to get out my Bo Bunny
papers and dies and put together a pretty card and this
is what I came up with! I layered the backround and popped
up the frame and added lots of pretty snowflakes and bling!

I just love how the layers of these snowflakes
came out and the blues and greens of the papers and
the embossing of the folder with the white was
just perfect.  Spellbinders has a new die out at
it has beautiful 3D details on it if you look really close.

These are two of my favorite new dies released and
I just had to share them with you!  The snowflake dies
you can see here with some of the other new Holiday
dies just released... Just Gorgeous aren't they?

My stamp today is from Penny Black and I
used Want2Scrap bling and a pretty piece of bling
in the center from Prima.

Be sure and check back for more fun ideas
with the new dies... You are going to love using them!

Wonderful News!!

Hello Everyone.. I have some wonderful, exciting news..
I recently got the chance to do a few guest spots for
a wonderful stamp company called Quietfire Designs and they
asked me and my friend Debbie to stay on the team with them!!

So very exciting--- and they are connected with Spellbinders
so its the perfect match for me... and I love Calligraphy
so that is perfect too.  Today I want to share a brand new die
that came out this morning at CHA called S4-414 Captivating Squares.
It's a beautiful intricate die and I thought it would be fun to layer it
and turn it on it's side to see what would happen.
I really like how it came out and kind of looks like a star.

The Quietfire stamp I used is from the Happy Birthday set #5905.
And I used lots of pink patterned papers and pink flowers to go with it
so it's super bright and cheerful.

Sometimes to get the right color of ink I mix things together
and for this I mixed Versamark Rose Red and Versafine Satin Red.
They mixed well and still gave me a fine image of the letters.
I stenciled inside the top piece after I embossed the sentiment and
popped up the layers to really show off the dies!

Be sure and check back this week for lots more samples
and die previews from CHA. You are going to love them all
they are really, really fabulous this time again !!!  They have a live
stream coming from CHA at 10 today so be sure and check it out!

Take care and have a great day,
Teresa

Quietfire card to share

Hi Everyone.. I have a quick card to share today with
a new stamp that I got from Quietfire Designs.

The stamp is part of a beautiful set that comes with
the outside oval edge stamp and 3 smaller stamps for inside.

I love when you have other options in a set so that
you can change it up for different people or maybe
just use the sentiment on it or maybe a tag.

This was a really easy card that I did with two Spellbinders
dies.  I used Labels Eighteen for the top and under it I layered
Decorative Labels Eight from the winter release.  I inked
it a little too much but that's ok.. it's fun to try something new.
(I love the reds and tans mixed together it's kind of country looking)
And to finish it I just tied a double bow and added a rose on top.

Hope you like it and be sure and check out the other new
stamps over on the Quietfire Design website....

Have a great day!  Teresa

Fall page to share

I know it's not fall yet but it is my favorite time of year
and I made a quick page to catch up on my photos to share.

My favorite time of year is going up to the local apple farms
and picking lots of good apples to make yummy things with.
So in my spare time I am catching up with all my photos and got
a few done for our apple picking trip last fall.

I mixed up lots of bits from different paper companies to make
my page and a little bit of Imaginese and tags i had in my stash.

For the Spellbinders dies I made the title starting with
a couple of flags and layered an oval from Grand Deco Ovals.
Then cut and embossed 2 pieces of the Picot Edge die and then
added the canvas title from Imaginese. I also used borders along
the edge the backround and used border punches to make them.
It was really fun that day and the weather was perfect!
 Can't wait for fall...

Thanks for coming over and hope that you had fun on our
Spellbinders hop.  There is lots more coming and they are
having a live broadcast next Tuesday from CHA so be sure and check
it out so you can be the first to see what is new for this summer!
It is going to be amazing and you will want it all :)

Hugs and Smiles,  Teresa

Spellbinders Shape It Up Sneak Peek and Giveaway Day 1

Hi Everyone, Welcome to the first day of our CHA Summer Sneak Peek!
I am the first stop on the hop and I am so excited to share Spellbinders
latest innovation in die design called-Nestabilities Enhancing Elements.

I have a really beautiful Brand New Die to share with you
called, Gold Squares One (S4-410).

These unique die templates can be used on their own or mixed
with all of your existing dies to create
beautifully detailed inset designs that enhance without limits.
They Cut, Emboss, Stencil, and Deboss too!

For my project today, I am sharing with you a special stationery gift set
that I created using the dies both on the front of the gift box and on the
beautiful cards made to put inside of it. And I am sharing the directions
on how to use the dies and how to put it together too.
So grab a cup of tea and lets get started!

First here is a list of things that you will need...

Spellbinders Dies:
      S4-410 Gold Squares One
      LF-018 Grand Decorative Labels One
      S4-380 Decorative Labels Twenty Seven
      S4-375 Scalloped Labels One
      S4-395 Les Papillions Two
      S5-145 French Frills
      GC-015 Junior Magnetic Mat
GC-001 Grand Caliber® Die Cutting and Embossing Machine

Cross Promotional Partners:
Graphic 45 Secret Garden- Sunkissed, Beautiful Blooms
Bazzill Basics Paper® Ivory Cardstock
Scor-Pal®  1/4" Scor-tape and a Scor-Pal
SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVE BY 3L™, E-Z Runner, 3D Foam dots
Want2Scrap(C) 72 count adhesive pearls in ivory

Other: Ribbon, scissors, papercutter, polka dot vellum

Instructions:

  1. To begin this project you are going to first cut a piece of the lavender printed cardstock 9 ½” x 12”.  Using a Scor pal score the paper on the 9 ½” side at 2” and 7 1/2”.  Turn the paper and score again at 5 and 7”.  Fold the lines in and then cut in on the 5 and 7” sides to the center.  Fold the box up and adhere the sides together with Scor-tape.
  2. For the lid you need to cut another piece of the lavender printed cardstock 5 ¼”x 10 1/2”.  Also cut a piece of the ivory cardstock 5 ½” x 11 inches and adhere the lavender on top of the ivory paper.  Scor  this piece on 5 1/2" and 71/2" too.  Fold on both lines.  Lay your lid on the top of your box to find placement and mark where 2 lines of scor-tape will go to the back to hold on the lid.  Undo the tape and carefully glue in place.  Mark with pencil 2 small dots for the Velcro in the front and add small white Velcro dots to hold the front in place.

3. For the front pieces cut and emboss #1 Grand Decorative Labels
one with the #6 and #7 square enhancing elements
using the magnetic mat on your grey base plate.
Lay the paper on top and then the cutting mat and run
it through your Grand Caliber.  Replace the cutting plate with the
embossing mat and the pink embossing plate and run it through again.
Don't the enhancing dies just work just beautiful?
 But wait there is more....

  1. Now you can do the same thing with #3 Decorative Labels Twenty-Seven with the #1, 2 and #3 enhancing squares inside of it, this time on an angle as shown using ivory cardstock.

  1.  And lastly cut and emboss the #5 scalloped labels one with the #5 Enhancing element in the center with the purple printed cardstock.  Also cut and emboss 4 of the small corners from the French Frills die set in the same purple patterned cardstock.

  1. To assemble the pieces for the front adhere the large ivory piece to the front of the box flap.  Adhere the top piece to the purple printed cardstock and then to the labels twenty seven piece.  Adhere this piece to the box with small foam dots to make it pop up more as shown in the photos below.  Adhere the decorative photo corners on with adhesive and add tiny pearls.  Cut and emboss a butterfly cutout and a base and glue them together.  Adhere this to the right side of the box and gently lift the wings and add tiny pearls.

  1. For the inside cards cut ivory cardstock to measure 5 ¼” x 5 ¼”.  Cut 4 for your box.  Cut and emboss the #1 Grand Decorative labels One in ivory for each one.  Cut and emboss the scalloped labels one in lavender cardstock for each one.  Cut and emboss the labels twenty seven in ivory for each one. And finally use the #3 scalloped label and cut and emboss the #1,2,3 and #5 dies in the front as shown at different angles.  To make the designs pop more cut a small label in lavender and adhere under the top piece.  Add tiny pearls on the corners and a pretty satin bow.  Emboss envelopes to match or create your own with vellum.  You can make all of them the same or have fun and mix up the dies to create fun an unique cards made especially by you!  It’s really fun and wait until you see the other amazing dies available soon… you are going to want them all!

So now that you know how they work I have another
simple project to share using the same
Square Enhancing Elements dies and a few of
my other Square Nestabilites dies to make a cute desk
calendar.  When you pair these elements with your existing dies
you can really create some one of a kind designs.
It’s really fun and easy to do.

I hope you loved these new dies and you are going
to love all the other amazing products being shown this week!

Happy Anniversary with LOTV

I had a really relaxing weekend and had some me time
so I created a few cards with some of the
fun stamps I got from LOTV and Quietfire Designs.

Today I am sharing a card that i did with LOTV bears.
They are so very cute and I only used Bo Bunny Prairie Chic and plain
white cardstock to make it.  The dies I used are
Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nine for the front 2 pieces that
I stenciled around.  And for the backround piece I used
5x7 Elegant Labels Four in white cardstock. The tag
I wanted smaller so i used that die from the
Enchanted Labels Twenty-Eight set and I think they
mixed rather well.  Yes I am really partial to blues
and pinks if you havent' noticed already :)

I stamped it in black versafine with clear detail embossing
powder and used both chalks and Copics for the coloring.  And
i added just a few Stickles for some glitter on the stars and the
cute little champagne glasses.  For the tag I stamped it with Versafine
deep lagoon and stenciled around the edges just a tiny bit.
To finish it I tied a pretty piece of bias ribbon from
the Stamp Simply Ribbon store and a pretty white rose.
I am not sure who I am going to give it to but I am ready
for someones Anniversary in the future :)

Thanks for stopping over and have a super amazing day!

Quietfire Guest Designer

I love it when doors open for me in my life and I
have the wonderful opportunity to be the guest
designer for Quietfire stamps this month.  They
are an amazing online stamp and calligraphy site
which I really love and it makes me want to get back
into doing my own handwritten sayings and such!
You can check out their website here...

Today I have a simple card that I did with #6195.

I love this saying because I am a heart collector
of all things.. jewelry, stamps, pillows and lots of
other things that have hearts.  And here is my card..

I created this with 3 Spellbinders dies and
some ink from Studio G and Detail Clear Embossing Powder.
The base die is Decorative Labels Eight and
I stamped on Labels Twenty Five and it fit perfect.
Spellbinders also has tiny single dies called Die-Delights
and I also cut a heart locket in pink and put it under the ribbon
with Love Locket that you can see here...
The papers I used are from Basic Grey's Kissing Booth
6x6 pad and the brad is from the same line.
I am a sucker for pretty pinks so this was really fun
to make and be sure and check out the other card
I did on the Quietfire Blog here.....

Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!

Sketchabilities #94 today

I am still working on catching up on pages so
here is another page of my daughter and her friend
when we all went night diving with the Manta Rays
in Kona Hawaii last fall.  It was so amazing and so
fun and we are going again next time we go for sure.

So here is Karan's beautiful sketch's on Sketchabilites
that I followed for the most part but added a backing
and changed it up around the title just a little.

I think this is one of my favorite Bo Bunny lines
this summer.. I loved last years but the colors this time
are just beautiful.  The line is called Key Lime and
it's perfect for lots of water related pages like I always need!

For the letters i mixed Canvas alphas and some round
alphabet letters by Authentique.  I think the ribbon is
neat because it looks like water swirls..

For my journaling I tucked a tag in the side
of the backround so I can share how amazing it was to swim
with these creatures of the sea that were 10- 15 feet wide.
It was really unforgettable and we even saw a school of dolphins.
And of course I used a Spellbinders die on it
1st because they are beautiful and it seems like
I can't do much without having one or two on it.
It is called Grand Decorative Circles One and
is really great for pages and for other lg. projects you do.

So that's it for today and I have lots more to share
and don't forget to leave a comment so I can hop
over and see what you do in your part of the planet :)
Lots of hugs....

Disney Day

Today I am just sharing a fun page I did of my sister
and her daughter who works for Disney.. My sister
came out for Christmas and they spent a lovely day together
at Disneyland and taking lots of pictures with all the
characters and just having a really good time.  So I thought
I would scrap some of them for my book and share one today.

I love this picture and even though the papers
aren't correct with the holiday I thought they went
really well and showed off the picture really good. The papers
and tags and goodies are from LYB Poppy Collection for this..

I love the little acetate extras that come
with the LYB lines.  They are fun to use
and are something different.  You could stamp
things like this too now that I think of it and
decorate your pages with them using Staz on inks.

So have a wonderful day and all of you in the states
enjoy the 4th of July.  We are doing something fun I will
share photos with on friday...but be safe and take care,
Teresa
