New Cards for Card Club....

Card Class was really fun this month. Our theme
was paper flowers so I used lots of the New Spring
stamps from Penny Black and taught them how
to make all kinds of fun flowers. I also showed everyone
some of the new Spellbinders they had at the show.  We got lots
of new ones in the store this week.  I taught the class both Friday
and Saturday and it was really fun and relaxing catching up with everyone
that I hadn't seen in a month.  And since there was so much rain this
past week it was a good day to do something creative indoors.

Thanks for stopping by...

I had a few minutes to play and make a few things
with my new Basic Grey papers.  They have some
really pretty embossing dies at Sizzix so I used one
for this card and the beaded ovals Spellbinders die.
The white dots are enamel essentials and an adhesive
word "Thanks" and a bow to finish it off.

This is one of my favorite photos of Nicole and she loved to
Swing on the tree outside when she was little all day long.
I really like all the colors of the papers and am really lovin
making lots of flowers and using my punches for the pages.

This photo was fun to scrap of the girls when we were out
in the desert last fall riding.  It rained all night and when
we woke up there was snow on the mountains.  It was
just gorgeous.
That is all for today.  I am working on some more
cards with my new Spellbinders and will get them
up soon.  I have lots of things to do in my yard to plant
and get all the weeds cut so not much time this weekend!

I got a new paper pad this week from Basic Grey( Hello Luscious)
and decided to use it for some of my New Lili of the Valley
cut outs and stamps that I haven't had time to do and actually
got alot done.  6 cards total and I still got to sqeeze in dinner,
a few episodes of American pickers and CNN about Japan.

I love all the rich colors and patterns and I got so many
new flowers on Sat. to decorate that I had a blast.  My mom is
coming over this week so we can do some more for her and maybe
I can get some done to send out for gifts for Mom's day too.

I also used a few of the new Spellbinders dies that just
came out.  They are gorgeous and there are lots
of them to chose from. Guess that
I am going to have to place another order soon
for all the others that I don't have yet  :)

This is made with one of the new Sizzix
embossing plates and a spellbinders die.
It is amazing how such a simple thing can
make a card look so much more intricate!
Can you tell I love these things....

What a wonderful day!

Today is a great day everyone, the sun is shining
and the trees are starting to bud out with gorgeous
flowers and all my flowers around the house
are blooming too.  I love spring because it is a time to
start fresh and I love all the colors and fragrances in the air!

Yesterday was Kathleen service and it was beautiful!
She is being buried in Salt Lake with her parents on Sat.
I used lots and lots of tissues  and there were 100's of people
but I know that she gets to be an Angel
to all of us now and it is comforting to
know that she won't feel anymore pain.  But there is a
huge set of shoes to fill now and an empty chair but  I
will always remember how she touched my life and was
always there for me.  I got asked by Amy to do a couple of
pages to show at the service and that was such an honor!
Not everyone wants to share the cute pictures
of their childhood and only when
they pass do we get to see these wonderful moments!

The special part of scrapbooking is secretly adding
the special colors and things the person really loves
so that it becomes a treasured thing to share with friends
and family throughout the ages......
I tried to put all these special things in her pages to remember her.
Amy added words for the family but I just think I was
blessed to be able to do this for them :)

We will miss you Kathleen Walker for a very long time :)

It is Monday already.....

Here is a layout I wanted to share  that I made with the
New Bo Bunny for the store...  My son loves spaceships
and all those planets like on Magic School Bus
so this was a perfect paper to remember him riding
his fun little car that he named his "Go Go"
He makes me smile!!!

I am sad to have to say that we lost Kathleen on Sat morn.
She was an amazing women and a really good friend to
me and I really had fun working with her.  I will miss her
smile and words of wisdom alot and so will so many others.
I can never understand though why so many good people are taken
from this earth so soon..... we will miss you Kathleen :)

It's been a really tough week....

So I am catching up again and using some of my favorite papers
in my stash.  I still have a few more to photograph but I will get
them up later today.  This page was made with some gorgeous
paper from GCD.  I haven't gotten a hold of any of the new
from the show but I will be first in line to get some of it!!  There
is lots of beautiful flowers and gorgeous prints that will be perfect
for my albums!  Yeah!!  I added lots of details on this page and
made a few rolled flowers and a large folded one on the side.
I was really happy with the end result on this and of course my baby
girl is all about pink so this paper was just perfect.

Just to let all of you know, my friend and one of the
owners of the store I work at had a really horrible stroke on
Tuesday.  We are praying everyday that she will wake
up but so far there is no good knews.  I thought I
would put this out there because I hope that the more
we all say prayers for Kathleen maybe God will listen
and let her stay with us :)  So please put her in your prayers
today ok...... She is an amazing women and life will be
really sad on the planet without her......

Oh how I love clocks!!!

I am amazed daily at the glorious details of the beautiful
things on our planet.  The light was hitting my tulips and so
i had to run and take a photo before the petals started to drop.
The color was just so soft and pretty and i think I will put this
next to my other favorite flower photo- bleeding hearts.

Bo Bunny came out with this new vintage paper with lots
of clocks and gorgeous colors so I made a couple of things
last night with some of the old family photos I just got from
my cousin.  This is actually my great uncles and the outside 2
ended up getting married also.  Its a really cool photo and I am lucky
that it turned up so I could get a copy of it!

This is just a fun card that I made with some of the
new Bo Bunny lined cardstock and their new butterfly
line of papers.  I love turquoise and brown so this was
just perfect with the butterflies.
And my one of my new favorite flowers is Britt's rolled
flower from our hop!  I love her video so I am totally giving
her credit for it!  And yeah Britt, you do get hooked on
doing these and everyone is my class loved them too!

Thanks for stopping by &
lots of hugs,
Teresa
