Cardabilites #122 is up today...

It's time for another new sketch up on Karan's Cardabilties blog and today with this one
i decided to go all out and create a wedding card for a family friend using a new die from Spellbinders that i had. The die is called Floral Affair and i used silver metallic papers to
cut it out to lay on the backround papers. The sketch has 3 layers so i used a printed
metallic paper for the first then layered it with the black printed metallic and then my
silver cardstock that was die cut as you can see below.

The wedding dress is a sticker that i had in my stash and the really pretty sentiment is
from Ruby Rock-it.  They have an amazing wedding line too that would be perfect to use.

And finally on the inside i created a pocket to put a little something
for the bride and groom with another sticker from the Ruby Rock-it set.

Here is a photo of our sketch this month and we have a fabulous sponsor
too called Crafty City http://craftycity.com so be sure and play along with
us with a card or something that you created with the sketch for a chance
to win too.  We would love to see what you come up with.....

Supplies used for my card:
Spellbinders Floral Affair and Sprigs Die Sets
Ruby Rock-it Wedding Stickers
Paper Studio- wedding papers
satin ribbon, silver wired ribbon and white satin flowers
white and black cardstock
and 3D Foam Squares (Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L)

Out in the Deep Blue Sea...

It's been way too long since my last post but if you don't see much of me
be sure and check out the posts on Quietfire, Really Reasonable Ribbon,
or Ruby Rock-it and i am sure you will find something fun there too.

Today i have a page to share and don't be shocked-- i know.. it's been awhile
for one but this paper was so perfect for my photo of my niece i just had to
jump at the inspiration and get it done.  The papers are of course from Ruby
Rock-it (Something Blue Collection) but they are wedding ones
so i flipped them over and this is what i ended up with.
The photo is from Kona Hawaii when she was over this past year.
I spend every day in the water when we go over on vacation -so i wanted to
make it simple since she is in the middle of the ocean in the deep blue sea....
so very, very happy :)

I think one of my favorite papers is the aqua shade geography paper in the back.
It picked up the water so nice and the die cut of A Beautiful moment was perfect.
I added some stenciling in the backround and a big circle around the photo but
it's a little hard to see since it is clear and glittery.  I wanted it to be more like water
so in person it looks pretty cool.

The circle dies are from Spellbinders Celebrations line and it's an awesome
die in that you can cut alot of them at one time.  It's called Fun Filled Rings
and it is exactly that.  I also added a bit of jute ribbon to run through my tag
and finished it with bubble letters from Authentique in aqua.  It's super simple
but it was fun and now i can put it up in my scraproom to share.

Thanks so much for stopping by today :)

It's a Ruby-Rock-it kind of Monday...

Hi Everyone ... i have a quick card to share that i did with some of the brand new
Ruby Rock-it papers that i recently got... It was super easy to do too.

Just in case you didn't know Ruby Rock-it has some really cute kraft papers in different
patterns and i  love using them.  For this i used some of the Kraftastic  papers
and layered them on the base of the card and then used one of the tags that go
with all of it to build a pretty flower spray on.  I used the small adhesive glitter letters in
silver and that pretty black rhinestone swirl under all of it.  I really love the flowers and
i added a small fancy Spellbinders doily die under all of it and a bit of foliage on the sides
to make it even more feminine looking.  The seam binding ribbon is from
the Really Reasonable Ribbon store and it comes in lots of colors so be sure
and give them a look too.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super good Monday!!

It's off to work i go to the castle today....

RRR Aqua/ Coral challenge ....

Today i have a quick and simple project up using the new April Ribbon Club
assortment.  Our challenge is to use these colors in any project that you can
think up so i picked up a cute flagged chalkboard at my local hobby store
that i thought was cute and added lots of pretty flowers and ribbons to it.

There is a couple of the ribbons that i really loved so i used those 2 at the
top and tied a pretty double bow with both of them.  One is the
Satin with Grosgrain edge and the other is Roses with scalloped edge in aqua.
Then i slipped in a few flowers and some swirls that i cut with a Spellbinders die.

Across the top i used Spellbinders new die by Becca Feeken called Swirl Bliss.
I wanted to create a metal finish like cooper to match it so i used copper ink
from Tsukineko and inked the entire piece and then embossed it with clear detail
embossing powder from Stampendous.  The top of the chalkboard came with
a jute tie but i changed it out with some wire that i had and made that little
swirl on the side to hold a piece of chalk so i can write messages on it.

If you ever have any questions be sure and leave me a comment and i
would be happy to try and answer it if i can... Thanks so much for stopping
over today and hope you have a very nice week...

Teresa

i used a punch to create the edges with my Basic Grey Fresh Start

create the base and then added flowers and some of the die cuts
from the collection too.  It looks like a pretty bouquet of flowers
to send to someone that will never get old.  It was really fun...

it's time for our RRR Blog Hop....

It's time for our RRR Blog Hop today and this month we have a beautiful ribbon
assortment to use.  It's filled with gorgeous aqua's and peachy pinks so you will
love all the things our team has done with it to share.

April Ribbon Club Assortment

So if you started on the hop from the beginning here then you should
have hopped over from Heathers blog......

For my challenge project today i decided to look ahead to summer and create
a fun little mini book filled with lots of folds and pockets that i can put my
vacation pictures in.  I love having a few types of these books so i can be ready when
i get all my photos done and put them inside of it.  The papers i used
for this are from My Minds Eye and i also used the wood pieces and the stickers
that came with the set.  I really like the colors and patterns on this one.

To make this book you just need some 12x12 card stock- and cut it in half to make
it 6x6 when you fold it.  The back is started with a criss cross and then i added
envelopes and other papers to make pockets.  I used bits of ribbon to create the
brightly colored borders on it and decorate each of the pages.  I also used a sheet
of Basic Grey adhesive letters and stickers that went with it perfectly.

On this one you can see the polka dot gross grain in the set.

Here you can get more of an idea of how the basic book looks.  On the
tan paper sides with arrows i cut pockets for travel goodies and photos and
then used a pretty piece of checkerboard satin ribbon to decorate each of them.  I also
added a few photo chipboard pieces and adhesive words i wanted.

This page has the cutest red travel paper and i thought that a piece
of ivory crochet lace would look really good on it- so i glued it to the side
and added another of the photo boxes to fill in later.  There is so many
more pages but it's good to get you inspired to do your own for the summer
and get ahead.  Can't wait to go on a new adventure......

And....Now it's time for you to hop on over to Jenn's blog for
another cute idea to use the new April ribbon club collection .
I am sure she has something amazing to share with all of you.

Have a wonderful and crafty day.... Teresa

RRR Things with wings challenge

There is a new challenge up this month for RRR and it's a fun one.
It's anything with wings so it can be birds or angels and anything
else you can think of that you would like to create to do.

My card is done with a beautiful stamp that i got from Stampendous.
It has gorgeous words at the bottom and these beautiful wings on it.
I stamped it in silver and embossed it with silver to make it stand out
and then i did a second set and fussy cut it and popped it up with
foam dots.  The papers are from Basic grey and the ribbon
is ivory metallic edged satin ribbon.  It's one of my favorites and
comes in so many pretty colors.  You are going to love them all.

So... that's it for today but be sure and link up your project on the
RRR Challenge so we can see what amazing things you make.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend :)

Die-ing for Spring Blog hop for Quietfire Design

Hi everyone it's April Fools day today and it's our 3rd day on our fun hop to share
with you lots of new stamps and our brand new dies from Quietfire Design.

Today you will also be visiting Diana's blog so don't forget to hop over
and see what she has and if you just started today check out the list at the bottom
of my post to see where you should go for more amazing inspiration...

So today i have 2 cards for you to see.  One is my favorite by far of all the cards
i have done.  I adore G45 papers and i ordered this paper especially for this so
i was very pleased with how it came out with the aqua colors and the fairy :)

Quietfire has a brand new stamp called "Raindrops are like Fairy Whispers"
and it went perfect under my fairy that i found on the papers.  I created a
window type covering from one of the new Becca Feeken Spellbinders
dies that just came out called Swirl Bliss Pocket.  I cut it out of light ivory
paper and then tucked it carefully over the card part that i popped up with
foam dots.  It really makes the design pop like this, I love it!

And of course i had to add some raindrops and fairy dust to it
to make it all shiny and fairy garden like....... I stamped the sentiment
in black and embossed with clear and to make it match with the card more
i used just a touch of ink around the inside with a foam dauber.

And as promised-- here is my card using one of the brand new dies
that were just released.  They work amazing and i created this one so
that it has a pretty shadow behind it and then popped it up with 3D
foam dots.  The papers are from Basic Grey and so is the sticker.

Here is a closeup so that you can see how pretty the calligraphy looks.

Well that is all for me today but be sure and check back tomorrow for another
