I think of all the cards I have done lately this is my
favorite. I think if you have great intentions and you are
creating for someone special sometimes the magic just happens!!
So this special card is being sent to my Grandmother
who is 95. I wanted to make her something super special
to send and I found this old Penny Black stamp I had
and created this card for her. I used Bo Bunny swirl
cardstock for the base and added Doodlebug Valentine
papers. I also used my Fleur de lis Squares die and lg
Scalloped square dies to create the backround for my
cute little bear that I stamped and embossed and cut out.
For the coloring I used Copic markers and ribbons
from May Arts. The flower is from Prima and the little
leaves are from a Martha Stewart Punch. To finish
it I added just a little bit of clear glitter and tiny pearls
around the outside of the scallop die... If you click
the photo you can see the glitter and embossing better!
Isn't she just so very cute?
This fun card was made with one of those stamps you get
in the dollar bin and I used some papers that I found while
cleaning up my room...It's really simple but the papers
mixed nicely and I embossed it so that I could mix and
blend the Copic colors to look more like watercolors.
I had some bakers twine that matched perfect too...
This last card today I thought would be great for
a guy for a birthday. I have 2 brothers so it would
be great for either and not too fancy or frilly.
The papers for this card are from Websters Pages
mini pad and the stamp is from Hero's New Release.
I love how sometimes you can find the perfect paper
for your stamps and in this case I even had an embossing
folder that I used to spruce up the envelope! Yay!
So that is it for today... the game was great yesterday
and had our crowd tense until that final throw into
the end zone!! Yikes... It was fun catching up with
everyone and going to spend today finishing a few
projects for Valentines....
Thanks so much for stopping in
and have a great day everyone,
Teresa
Sister. I am having fun making my rosettes. The gals will help with the centers. Mom helped me cut chipboard squares with her metal paper cutter for the backs where the pins will go. I am possibly using a word such like laughter to be the final tie in to make it a pair. So, what do you think of my label maker with clear tape?
