You bring Joy to my Heart

Hi friends... i hope that you weekend is going wonderfully and i hope that you had some time to get in a few crafty projects yesterday.  The weather is great here where i live and i had time to get in a little gardening and also time to get out a few glimmer plates from Becca's new line and  play.

My card i made is using some vintage printed papers i had in my stash.  I wanted to see how this plate would add just a little bit of a glistening edge to my sentiment and i loved it so much i added a second layer with the darker pink print.  The designs give it just a bit of contrast and the simple border ties it all together.   I stamped the sentiment with a matching pink and then added a bow and roses.

The glimmer plate set also come with a beautiful and intricate cap for the top.  But you can mix this with any of your dies to add and extra border and since the glimmer foils come in so many colors it's really easy to match with all the papers that you may have in your stash.

My favorite part of this is you can use your Hemstitch Square edges to cut out the foil squares.  It's super easy and gives it the perfect finished edge as you can see above.

That's all for today.... i have a fun afternoon planned and a fun dinner with family.
Enjoy your day and be sure and check out the other brand new glimmer plates here......

Enjoy every Moment Card

Today i have a post to share with you using Becca Feeken's newest glimmer foil plate called "Petite Looking Glass".  This plate is from the brand new Royal Flourish Collection that was just released.  I wanted to see how it would mix with one of the Vintage Treasures dies and i think it added the perfect touch to it.   Just a bit of glimmer to make it sparkle....

To make the glimmer plate piece stand out more i actually cut out the Vintage Treasures Nobel Chatelaine die into the top piece of ivory paper and then used my Glimmer Machine to add the foil to the Looking Glass Plate and then i fussy cut it out.  I tucked that glimmer piece under the Hemstitch oval and added the smaller pieces of the die in ivory to the sides.  Adding 3D foam dots will give it more depth and show off all those pretty pieces more.

I even went and added a few corners from another of Becca's dies in ivory just to give it more of a lacy feel to match the inner die cut.  It was a really fun card to experiment with these new glimmer plates.  There is so many ways to use them.... wait until you see my card for Sunday :)

Have a wonderful day..... Teresa

Reach for the Stars Little Man

It's hard to believe that it's friday already... the end of a really fun and crafty week for me.  I had the chance to clean up and get a few things organized and  in the process found this fun paper from Echo Park to use with one of the New Vintage Treasure dies.  It's called "Brilliante Rondelle" and I made both a card and a mini box with the dies and it was so easy to do.

For my card i used a white square base and layered the hemstitch square with aqua first and then cut the outermost circle in a print.  Over that i layered a thin green stripe and then cut the center die in white and popped it up with 3D foam dots.  This set came with some fun tags so i picked this cute little one with a monkey on it and finished it with a seam binding bow and button with the matching green.  You can see below that prints are easy to use if you make sure they are small enough.

My nephew is having a birthday next month and this will be perfect to give him.

And then i had some left over paper and this cute little chipboard box i got from Micheal's Craft store so i cut small pieces for the outside and front of the box and then added that same white die piece under the tag for the front.  This i am going to save for another friend who is having a baby boy soon and i can add a gift card along with a few other goodies.  I might even have to come up with a cute bag to match it.

So you all need to go through your papers this week and find some fun ones that you can
make up a few gifts for the months ahead.  And you may be surprised to find that Becca's dies work
with all kinds of papers.

And don't forget to visit our Guest Designer this week Kathy Clements.  She has outdone herself this month with Becca's dies to create four amazing projects with us.  Becca will do a wrap up the end of this month so stop by her blog too and see all her amazing inspiration!!

Have a wonderful weekend,
Teresa

Amazing Paper Grace June Die of the Month Blog Hop

Hi... we are all so happy that you can join us for our New Die of the Month Blog hop for June.  This month we have a beautiful die that you can use for corners on a card or if you go check out Becca's blog ... so many other gorgeous things.

This die set has 2 dies in it and i split them up and used some of my favorite vintage Pion papers to make a special card for my daughter and also a note pad to give her for her desk at work.

My First Project Today:

The best part of the die is that you can use it alone to create a special embossed corner to give your cards a decorative touch.  You could also add it to slide in a card for a pocket card.  Be sure and hop to all the other team members today to see all the beautiful things they did with it.

And you can also use it as a decoration for other fun things like our little notepad that Becca designed for a previous release.  I used just the smaller corner to decorate the top.

Introducing Royal Flourish / Card and Box Ensembles

Hi Glimmeristas, I hope you are ready for more Glimmer Fun!!!  We have a new mini collection we are introducing today called Royal Flourish.   With two card fronts as well as an oval border shape and square border shape - we'll have some stash-worthy things for you to look at.    We thought it would be fun to make a card and a matching box using some of our favorite die sets and the new Royal Flourish Glimmer Plates.  It's easy to do and is a show stopper when we need to give a gift.

Inspiration for Royal Flourish

Have you ever noticed during period dramas like Game of Thrones that the Royalty each have their own insignia and way of writing? It's so cool and really fascinating that these things mattered to them.  There was actually a lot of thought and flair behind the written word.   It’s really no different today; we all have our own flourishes of style that we lay down to call things our own.  It was this spirit of honing a style that Becca said provided the inspiration for Royal Flourish.  Glimmer is such a lovely way to add rich detail and embellishment!
We've been especially loving using borders with glimmer.  For this collection, Becca created two border sets that you can cut with Hemstitch Squares and Hemstitch Ovals.   Card fronts that can take a sentiment seem to be the favorite, so happily there are two details plates that will make lovely frames to your favorite sentiments.

My Project For Today:

I'm happy to introduce GLP-129 Contessa's Seal Panel Hot Foil Plate Royal Flourish

I really love the versatility of this new plate and as you see today as you all hop through all of our blogs there are so many fun things that you can do with it.  For my card i decided to use it as a layer mixed in with one of my favorite old dies from Becca Feeken.  I used the mat gold foil for my plate so that it would mix in nicely with all of my die cut pieces.   Then i added the center oval and stamped Congrats.  Lots of pink flowers and just a few rhinestones finished it.  So easy....

And for my second project i created a small box using the gold glimmer plate as my lid.  I measured the width of the plate and then made a simple box to fit it and added the top to close it with a small rhinestone button.  I also used the same center piece on my card to fit over the top to add a little bit more detail to my box.  It's the perfect side to add a small matching card or a gift card insert.

Pretty in Pink Card

As you can see this week i love using pink and ivory with Becca's dies.  Nothing gives you that vintage feminine feel more than this color combination.  And of course lots of pearls and ribbons.

My card today is made with the new " Cannatille Rectangles" die from Vintage Treasures.  This is a beautiful set that has 5 pieces that you can mix and match with your other dies.  I did simple layers on my card in ivory for the base and then cut the die pieces in pale pink with an ivory top piece to set it off just a little more to match the ribbon.   The smaller piece i cut 2x and put it slightly askew to give it a little shadow.  And to finish it i added ivory silk ribbon across the center and a bow on the side to finish it.  My sentiment is on the inside but if you wanted you could add a small tag sentiment to hang off the ribbon too.

And that's it for today's share.... Something quick and easy and you could make them in lots of other colors and give as a gift set too.  I love this die and if you haven't seen all the Vintage Treasures dies you can check out the link HERE to see more of them.  It's one of my favorite collections.

Vintage Treasures Bella Luce made 2 ways

Today is a special Sat because today i am sharing one of our dies made 2 different ways and also it's the reveal of our new June Die of the Month on Becca's blog that you can see here.

My card above i made with the new Vintage Treasures Bella Luce Oval Die Set.  I picked a vintage rose paper for the backround to match my ribbon and did all the other really ornate die pieces in gold so that all the details would really shine.  You are all going to love this die set because it is so quick and easy to make a card with and it looks just as beautiful in plain papers.

Here is the die and all the pieces that you get in this gorgeous set.

And this is my second version of it with a few extra dies added into the mix that you might already own.  I used the original 2 ovals to create the base of my card and then over that added the "Infinity Link Border" and then I added the Beautiful Dreamer stamp and die set that you can pick up on sale right now on the Spellbinders website.  This last set is nice because there are lots of stamps in the set and the die works really well by itself or mixed in with other dies like i have here.

I guess i can't say it enough how fun it is to mix all Becca's dies to see what you can make.

The papers i used are from Micheal's craft store.  I really like the printed vellum and think it gives it a really pretty airy feel with all that gorgeous pink paper layered over it.  This card is going to a very special person who helped us out this week and i hope that she really likes it.

So that is my share today and if you get a chance be sure and pop over to our new APG Guest Designer for this month Kathy Clement http://www.kathybydesign.com.

You are going to love all the beautiful things that she makes to share this month.

Have a very wonderful day.... Teresa
