Celebrate your day

It's a gorgeous Monday and i hope you all had a great weekend and maybe got in a little fall crafting for yourselves.  Today i have a fun share using a super cute APG die from Spellbinders.  This one is a mate to the girls shoe i used last week called "Gents shoe" and i thought i would go a little bit more everyday instead of wedding and do a Birthday card and a smart looking gift box with the multi loop bow die to match.  Most guys wear lots of plaid so i used that for my starting inspiration and then added some fun colors to match from the Simple Stories paper set that i had in my stash for all the other pieces.

The shoes were super easy to make and after rummaging around a little bit,  i found some blue floss in my stash to tie them with.  To make my way too cute shoes pop more i rested them on a piece of orange paper that i cut from the Hemstitch Rectangles die set and then also cut an ivory piece to stamp on my "Celebrate" sentiment on.  This is from a super cute Happy Birthday set from Quietfire Design and has lots of other adorable Birthday sentiments you can use for everyday cards and such.

And if you haven't picked up the Multi Loop Bow die you really need to grab one before they are gone.  I love this die because i can make cute bows out of anything i have to match my projects and they are super easy to do.  I made 4 loops of each of the 3 sizes for my bow and then cut a few of the ribbon ties for the base.  It went to together in all of about 10 mins so that is really nice!!

Thank you so much for stopping over today and be sure and leave a comment so i can stop over and visit you too :)

January Hoarders Hop... are you ready?

It's the beginning of a brand new year and time to find and get out all those projects
that you have stored in your scrap room to make something fun!

Today i have a new journal to share that i made with a Simple Stories release
from last year called I AM.  I love to make up journals to post about things that
happen throughout the year and i love this paper line so it went together pretty well.

For the book i used one that i found on sale at Hobby Lobby.  It has clear pockets
inside and i picked it up for less than $8 so that was wonderful.  On the front I used
some of the 12 x 12 papers in the "I AM" collection and layered on some of the
journaling cards and stickers.  Then i added words from the other adhesive sheet
that matched it and a few frames from the chipboard set too. It was nice that i had lots
of things for this line and kept it all together to find when i needed it.

And... with everything else that i do i added some little whipped spackle dots with a Prima
stencil that i had in my stash.  Don't you love all the pretty colors in this set?  Me too!

Here is a quick photo of the inside that i created.  Besides the clear acetate pages i added
white card stock pages that i can add journaling and photos as i go through the year.  I hope
that i will have enough space... I have lots of adventures planned in 2016.  Can't wait :)

And here is what some of the stickers and letters look like in the set.  Most
of it is precut cards so it's easy to create places for photos and journaling. And
that is it for me.  I will have lots of fun things each month to share so be sure
and check back again next month ......

So you should have arrived from Wendi's blog but if you didn't and want
to check out all the other things we did check the list at the bottom ok!

And now it's time to hop to the next designer on our team...
the amazing Barbara Rankin :)

Really Reasonable Christmas Challenge

It's time for another Challenge up on the RRR Blog today and wow it seems
like time is rushing by really fast these days.  Our weather is super hot still
here in California so it feels more like July but I know that Christmas is
going to be just around the corner for us all.  So... all of us at RRR are doing
some fun projects with the new Christmas ribbons to share....

So roaming around Micheal's i found these neat metal ornaments and
thought how fun to decorate them up for Christmas this year.  They already
have the cuts in them so i really didn't have to add much at all.  The ribbons
i used to hang them are from the new "Christmas Monthly Ribbon Club" and
went perfect with my papers from Simple Stories.

For this one i thought it would be fun to add it straight on to a tag and
make a card out of it.  This line has some fun things already done so
it makes it quick and easy to create.

And for my ornament i used some of the stickers and added 3D foam
squares on the backs and made a little snow scene.  I am a huge snow
man fan so i really love this one.  He is so cute!

And since ribbon makes everything so much better i added some
to these napkin rings i had for the holidays and now they are
ready for a fun festive evening during the holidays....

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out all the other
projects for the challenge and be sure and enter yourself....

Have a really wonderful day!!  Teresa

Cardabilites #97 is up today...

I can honestly say i just love using Karan's sketches.  There is so
much you can do with them and it is amazing what our team comes
up with each time with their take on it.  For my card today i wanted
to use a new Simple Stories pad that i got called DIY boutique
with lots of bright colors and fun little patterns in it.

To begin to make my card i started by using a bright blue
paper on my backround and then put a layer of word paper
matted in white on top with foam squares and then created
a framed border to go around the center design in the bright pink
with Spellbinders Labels 34.  The rest of the center i layered
tiny flags with matching colored papers and a tag in the set
and then i made that cute little flower
with another Spellbinders Die D-lites set called Blooms Four.

Here is the sketch for you so that you can join
along with us over on Cardabilites this time....

Thanks for stopping over and see you next time...
