February Card Club

Our class theme this month was Butterflies and I got to use some
New stamps from Hampton and Stampendous and a couple
of really cute butterfly punches.   It was a little to early
to use the new paper from CHA but I came up with a few
ideas for new cards and we made those way to cute rolled
up flowers for one of the cards. Everyone loved making them...
It was fun to catch up with everyone since last month
and.... I already have some great ideas to do for the next one in March......
Can't wait - it should be fun!

Oh yeah and we got lots of snow here in the mountains
last night.  We had a really cold rain and it was so
gorgeous when I woke up this morning. I will post a
photo tomorrow to show you all.
Have a great weekend!

A little bit of G45 today

I bought this mini G45 pad of paper a while back and was going
to create a mini book but i got inspiration to do a few cards last night
and kind of got on a good roll.  I love the colors and they went
together really fast so i was really happy about the results :)

I think I like it so much I am going to have to go out
and get more for the mini album too!

Reflection of me

Sometimes an idea comes to your head to use
a very special paper that you have in your stash
for a project you have in mind and sometimes
you get lucky and it comes out just the way you wanted it to.

I was goofing around taking lots of pictures of
everyone one day and accidentally got this one of me.
I usually hate my photos so I am not in many of
my books but thought I better get something in
about me so that when I die at 100 years old my
family will have at least one of me in there :) funny me!

The paper is from my coveted Basic Grey Valentine stash
and a lace doili to frame it and some flowers i purchased
and also some that I made myself.  This was really fun to make and
hopefully I will do more in the future........

Fun New things I made for the CHA show

Our blog hop was so much fun and it was fantastic seeing
all of the flowers our team came up with to share
with everyone and now I can share some more of the
things I got to make for the CHA show today.

I just love the way all the colors go together for this
paper line and I used it for this photo of my son's
first birthday and his first time with balloons.  He was
so excited and just kept bouncing them all around!!
This Brag Book I made from a 12x12 piece of paper cut in 3rds
and then layered pieces from the Safari baby boy papers
for the front of the book with foam dots
and added lots of pockets in the pages for photos.
I spent way to much time putting in lots of details
on this little door hanger but babies are such precious
things and it is worth it to create cute things for them right?

This is a fun Disney Birthday book to remember each
birthday that they had and I made it by cutting pieces from
chipboard and clear acrylic.  The size is about 9"x 4" and I
put it together using a zutter and used the new birthday papers
and stickers from Best Creation to make all the pages.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Best Creation Flower Blog Hop Starts Today

We are having our First Blog Hop of the new season today and our theme is

"Creating Handmade Spring Flowers"

On each blog you will find lots of incredible projects
and ways to create and use spring flowers that you can make yourself!

In order to win our Grand Prize be sure and collect the kinds of flowers
made on each blog and send the list to
Also be sure and leave comments along your way on each of our DTs. blogs
and especially on the Best Creation blog at the end of the hop

If you are hopping on the right track you should have
arrived from the talented Tracey Taylors Blog on over to me :)

The flowers I am creating today are Roses made with
Punch Bunch punches and some others from
EK Success & Martha Stewart.  These take some time
but they turn out really gorgeous and are lots of fun
to decorate with.  I made this Victorian Bird feeder with
a wooden frame that I purchased and painted
and added lots of ribbons, lace, netting and pearls.

My paper flowers are made from the Bella and Jubilee
paper collections from Best Creation and added some pink
dots paper flowers in there too.

I love the punches from Punch Bunch because they
are easy to use and you can also purchase a full color
guide to making all their flowers. I have tried all of
them and they are easy and fun to do!
I got out all of my old punches and just punched lots
of flowers and inked them and layered them so that
I had plenty of extras to fill in gaps on my birdfeeder.

To make the roses you need about 5-6 of each size
petal.  You will ink them around all the edges first
and then gently knead the centers of each with a bone
folder to create a kind of bowl shape in each.  The eraser works much
better than the recommended mouse pad because the paper
doesn't tear so easily .  With the pointed tweezers you
are going to roll back the tops and sides of each petal
away from you like they are blooming.

Starting with the circle put a little bit of glue under
each petal and start going in a circle and add one
petal at a time until you get to the center and take the
last 3 petals and roll them slightly and cut off the bottom
and glue in the middle of the rose. The key to success
on these is to use a quick drying glue and just use a little
at a time and let it dry as you go.
Favorite glue is Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive
and this amazing product called Scrap dots!
If you want glittery ones you can spray a fine glitter
mist when they are dry. Just add them into your project
whatever it may be and wha laaaa you are done :)

I hope you liked my roses and since I am the very last one on the list be
sure and hop over to the Best Creations Blog and leave a comment
and email me with your answers!  Happy flower making to you!!

Hugs,  Teresa

I love the New Travel line.....

I am just posting a few of my favorite things from
the New Travel Line by Best Creation.
I love the colors and all the prints and love
all the cute tags and stickers that go along with it too.
I have so many trips that I need to catch up on and this paper
totally fits the bill... Love it :)

This paper is the perfect thing to do all my distressing
and inking with my Tim Holtz products.  I am
a messy kind of painting gal and any chance to
make something old and distressed I am in :)

My 2 funny girls had us in stitches when we were
traveling through Indiana last winter with their
licorice smiles :)

All the chipboard pieces were great to punch holes
in and hang as tags on this altered notebook that
I created to use as a travel journal to keep notes
in of my next getaway...  Can't wait to go now!
BC has some new 6x6 pads that are great for cards.
You can whip them up in no time at all and I am
really starting to love brown and turquoise alot.

We are having a really fun blog hop with Hand Made Flowers
starting this Monday with Best Creation so be sure
and stop by....

Hugs,  Teresa
