Best Creation Flower Blog Hop Starts Today

We are having our First Blog Hop of the new season today and our theme is

"Creating Handmade Spring Flowers"

On each blog you will find lots of incredible projects
and ways to create and use spring flowers that you can make yourself!

In order to win our Grand Prize be sure and collect the kinds of flowers
made on each blog and send the list to teresa@bestcreation.us
Also be sure and leave comments along your way on each of our DTs. blogs
and especially on the Best Creation blog at the end of the hop

If you are hopping on the right track you should have
arrived from the talented Tracey Taylors Blog on over to me :)

The flowers I am creating today are Roses made with
Punch Bunch punches and some others from
EK Success & Martha Stewart.  These take some time
but they turn out really gorgeous and are lots of fun
to decorate with.  I made this Victorian Bird feeder with
a wooden frame that I purchased and painted
and added lots of ribbons, lace, netting and pearls.

My paper flowers are made from the Bella and Jubilee
paper collections from Best Creation and added some pink
dots paper flowers in there too.

I love the punches from Punch Bunch because they
are easy to use and you can also purchase a full color
guide to making all their flowers. I have tried all of
them and they are easy and fun to do!
I got out all of my old punches and just punched lots
of flowers and inked them and layered them so that
I had plenty of extras to fill in gaps on my birdfeeder.

To make the roses you need about 5-6 of each size
petal.  You will ink them around all the edges first
and then gently knead the centers of each with a bone
folder to create a kind of bowl shape in each.  The eraser works much
better than the recommended mouse pad because the paper
doesn't tear so easily .  With the pointed tweezers you
are going to roll back the tops and sides of each petal
away from you like they are blooming.

Starting with the circle put a little bit of glue under
each petal and start going in a circle and add one
petal at a time until you get to the center and take the
last 3 petals and roll them slightly and cut off the bottom
and glue in the middle of the rose. The key to success
on these is to use a quick drying glue and just use a little
at a time and let it dry as you go.
Favorite glue is Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive
and this amazing product called Scrap dots!
If you want glittery ones you can spray a fine glitter
mist when they are dry. Just add them into your project
whatever it may be and wha laaaa you are done :)

I hope you liked my roses and since I am the very last one on the list be
sure and hop over to the Best Creations Blog and leave a comment
and email me with your answers!  Happy flower making to you!!

Hugs,  Teresa
